I genuinely think it’s fair to implement a character lock on PD alts when your main character is actively involved in a conflict. At the very least, locking PD alts during active conflict should be a no-brainer. We’ve all seen it: as soon as something heats up against one side, suddenly 10 PD alts fly in and swarm the situation. Let’s not pretend this isn’t happening please. For full transparency—I do have a PD alt, but I’ve barely touched it aside from doing supervisory duties for activity reasons. I get that PD is active right now and there’s a lot going on, but there are absolutely situations where the involvement starts to feel biased. Literally cops before shootout: Cops after shootout:

What server rule or PK rule was violated?: I should be unPK'ed because the individual who killed, Char ID 160706, seemed to know exactly where everyone was going in that entire raid. There was some sort of hacks used in this situation to know exactly where the hitters were. When we were about to attack, the opposing side, at roughly 4:00 AM CST, decided to hop on to protect the property. Originally, there was just Marciano Altoviti, who was to be the target. Immediately after we had 5-6 people on a roof far away from the warehouse, they loaded in 3-4 more people.. With no one around the area except the individuals inside the warehouse, they kept baiting to attack the warehouse. When we make an attempt, all of a sudden, they load people into the server to prepare right away. There was no way to really tell if we were going to attempt an attack unless you were able to see through walls how many people were planning an attack. Subsequently, there was only one Altoviti on at the time, who continued to switch on and off characters, which we took note of. Initially, we pushed into the warehouse and attempted a hard push. We decided to flee back, and as we fled back, they attempted to push in the same second we fled. In this instance, you would want to scope out and wait to see if the area was clear before attempting to fight back. But they knew exactly where my other hitter, Tristano, was, as well as when I tried to swing back, where I was. In my push, I have a video that shows I spotted our target through the peaks of the train track and took a general note of where he walked to without even looking at the tracks. In that same second, he immediately guns me out by turning around, aiming directly at me, and killing me. I noticed the target at 00:14. 00:18 I take a general guess to estimate where he would walk to and take note of last position. At 00:22 somehow he locks on and finds out exactly where I am, seeing me directly. Exactly on that same second of 00:22, he shoots me on the head and I die. According to the staff, they were watching these fights. this was the initial concern in the beginning of it all, "They are most likely going to use hacks." As soon as we stood infront of the property, they baited by expressing heavy activity through rumours. While the argument could be made that "He heard you", it seems odd that the entire fight he knew where two attackers were, and when it was the right time to push when we left with zero hesitation. Maybe don't lock cops to their crim chars but I get that having 25 cops on during a conflict is annoying asf. Personally, I think if cops lack the common sense to walk right into the middle of a known conflict area where there's shootouts, there shouldn't be any punishment or RDM claims if people mow down cops too to avoid any of their guys getting arrested, especially since if you get arrested and put in pen faction you can't get rewhitelisted to your crim character to get back into the conflict after leaving jail.

From the staff side I can confirm it was approved by UA for them to put the orders on you. This is not a reply for your appeal decision just to clarify for you. There were several witnesses that had seen you record it, you were proven IC to be a CI, and you were also caught handing over the video that multiple witnesses watched you record hand it over to police. Under PK guidelines, one of the few exceptions for a faction to get orders on someone outside of the faction is when they can credibly prove the outside party is a snitch acting against them.

Perhaps only a cool down after taking damage on your main during a conflict that is longer than the usual damage cooldown. (10 ish minutes?)

Immediately following the situation, it was met with questions and accusations of potential cheating. As a result, I was pulled to a call with staff to do a VOD check and an overall PC file check. Upon doing so, nothing was found except an old folder from 2023 with nothing but random code and .jsons relating to a GMOD cheat that I haven't used in years (darkrp trolling). As I stated when in VC with staff after the incident that sparked this, I have never cheated on diverge and do not currently cheat on diverge at this time either, I have no reason to whatsoever. I am a long-time player in this community, dating back to 2020/21, with very little administrative action ever taken against me, nor have I ever faced any accusations prior. Now, the reality is, I can understand why, from a staff perspective, it could be construed as if I were cheating, and understand the optics of the situation. I am here disputing the ban as I do not believe it to be justified, and further proclaim my innocence in this situation as I did when a PC check was done last night. I won't deny the existence of the folder, UA has seen it and is likely what led to the ban, but the contents of which were also seen, which showed the lack of its use in years. Additional Information: Not that I can think of.

I'll continue what I was saying following our discussion in your support ticket. I'm not unsympathetic to the possibility that you had an old cheat folder that was not in use on your PC. Obviously no one with actual cheats would willing screenshare their game and files to staff, especially without clearing out the trash bin, but you can understand how suspect it looked to the investigating staff members that there was a cheat folder deleted just before you shared your screen with them. I do understand and see that yes you are a long-time positive member of the community and while there is no direct proof that you were ever cheating on our server I do think it does cast enough doubt that the PK's that came from the situation had to be reversed. That being said the staff members who did go through your files attest to the age of the folder and their contents having no usable executable file. Additionally in these cases we don't need either 'side' to an issue speculating about the on-goings of a staff investigation. I think the staff members involved handled it correctly, even if there wasn't fully immediate actionable proof. I am satisfied with what I have been shown and told afterwards to justify this unban.

I think I answered this somewhere else on the forums, but I'm happy to reiterate again for newer people such as yourself. Custom vehicles and other custom things are the main parts of keeping the server funded which has enabled us for the past 5 years to provide a free to play experience with 0 pay to win advantages whatsoever. It's also what allows us to consistently pump out new content. Unfortunately there is not another way that doesn't involve compromising the integrity of gameplay, for example perma weapons. Nothing you can donate for gives you an inherent advantage over people who don't donate. Before we introduced custom cosmetics and things that solely make an impact visually, there were many months were the server did not make enough to sustain itself, let alone allow for consistent new content. It's a small compromise, and one that is needed to allow the server to exist and improve constantly. Out of year vehicles are intentionally priced higher to dissuade people from obtaining them. Meaning there are way fewer in existence. Also, we actively deny many absurd requests and will continue to do so. Not everything can run free. Hope that explains it! We do our best to keep everything as accurate as possible, but for us to continue providing the experience that sees hundreds of unique players connecting a day providing thousands of hours of entertainment without any real requirement to pay out, it's something that must be done. Unlike many other servers myself and the staff team do this out of passion, we're not here to make a quick buck - but we have to be realistic about things, especially something we pour a lot of our free time into.

What server rule or PK rule was violated?: Hello, I believe I was PKd for dons order from the bonannos, even though i am cassano so was confused how this may happen and appealing on the basis of confirming if there was valid IC evidence that I had informed the police about an event that got someone arrested, as i am doubtful about it (as i was disguised, different face, description and waasnt using microphone). I was pulled into a sit and staff told me it was Dons order and thats all - after the PK - and would like to appeal for the aforementioned points. I was contacted by the detective to provide proof I did /mes as the defendant requested it and I screenshotted the console so I do think there may be some metagaming which may have led to the conclusion - which did have my name and details, but again I was not dress the same and had no identifiers as I usually have. If its valid then fair dos - cant hurt to appeal If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines:

What server rule or PK rule was violated?: i believe that the pearson who shot me had 3rd party help in this fight due to him knowing when we pulled back and where we were, additionally he extremely quickly snapped to mine and my partners exact locations to kill us. during the initial attack they were staying in their base however the moment we started to pull back they started to follow, he followed over to my position where the moment he peeked the corner he was able to shoot and kill me. he then walked away to go back inside to where he also killed my partner in a similar fashion by very quickly snapping to his spot up on the train tracks. Main points are him knowing our locations and movements and snapping onto us while shooting.
