Events are an important feature in any Garry's Mod Roleplaying server. Whether that's DarkRP, MilitaryRP or MafiaRP, they play a key role in maintaining player engagement and overall boost the entertainment of the server. Currently, gamemasters do exist in Diverge, but the position is extremely limited to staff members. While I do understand the safety precaution behind this, possibly altering a few permissions, requirements, and releasing it to the general public could fix the lack of events in the server. I hold previous experience being a player, a staff member, and a gamemaster in Diverge, aswell as other servers. When it came to having a preference between them, I found that I liked being a gamemaster more. Doing things like planning events, coordinating attacks, and creating chaos while not worrying about ticket count felt rewarding and relaxed. There are also a lot of players that share the same values of creating better roleplay, but don't want the same responsibilities of the average staff member. However, these kind of permissions can't be given to any average person. Gamemasters should understand server dynamics, the roleplay style UA looks for, and how the server works. I'd recommend listing specific requirements such as outstanding playtime, good/realistic ideas for events, clips of good roleplay scenarios they were in, etc. It can be just like the moderator application, but more in-depth (The gamemaster application staff uses would be a good base). I always found gamemaster requirements to be a lot more difficult than moderator, as a gamemaster could MAKE OR BREAK the experience of a player. Example(s) of this include: > Making playtime requirements upwards of three weeks to a month minimum. To add on from what I've said before, I felt as I got the best grasp of server dynamics when I was close to a month playtime. I also believe making it a longer playtime requirement could restrict applications to more trustworthy/committed players applying. > More long answer questions. People applying for gamemaster should be more than capable of typing a few paragraphs with clear ideas and good grammar. > Critical thinking/problem solving. Listing situations on where events could go wrong, and seeing an applicant's thought process on how to roleplay a "fix" could prove itself useful. There can also be alternatives for overall permissions given to gamemasters. They obviously shouldn't be able to punish anyone by any means outside of basic kicks (in case of minges that involve themselves too much in an event). The admin spawn menu can also be very limited, unless a certain ranked staff member+ does a togglable ingame command to allow more free use of it, which can prevent any abuse/exploiting.

I think times are changing and since there alot of homosexuals in the italian factions, why not make it lbgt friendly? i mean they enjoyed my pridewalk props and im sure not only they but JMZ himself will stand behind this. also in the 1980s-1990s the gay community started to exploded and stand strong. so its lore friendly. Especially in little italy!

So your whole idea of bringing rp is to buy "very unique uniforms, pins, and vehicles." So, no actual intention of promoting Russian-based rp that will show how unique and different you guys are to the rest of the server. "We are right now working on expanding our knowledge to give that Russian feel to the server and making a more unique faction then most ever see." If you are only now looking into knowledge of russian rp it seems you had no intention of actually focusing on roleplay and instead rushed things because you wanted to run a faction. This just seems like a desperate attempt to power grab into the server. I understand you have been a former HC of a certain faction, whether or not that was top 3, I will not know; however, that doesn't mean you will know how to run a faction from nothing. Again just seems like a faction that doesn't know its identity and will probably change to some other nationality after 6- 8 months.

How do you handle this?: I'd attempt to have another staff member take the ticket but if no ticket was made and nobody was upset about it, I'd just mind my own business since no harm was done. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would collect evidence of that staff member abusing then open a report on that member for abuse without directly confronting them. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: Before everything, id hear both side's of the story then continue onto the evidence (logs, clips etc) just because someone doesn't break rules when I'm around doesn't mean they won't break rules when I'm not around. Once I review the evidence I would take appropriate action on the friend depending on if the evidence is lacking or not. We will specialize in helping businesses transport their product in large amounts, assist in protecting high-profile men, and even help with the legal issues of people who get caught up in the law where the lines between legal and illegal activities often blur. Novgorod Attire New interns that have not fully been initiated into the Bratva will wear often wear more casual street clothing such as tracksuits, hoodies, or any sort of casual wear. This reflects their position within the Bratva as outsiders who are still fairly new and are proving their loyalty and worthiness for the next step in the hierarchy. Although they are not on the same level authority as the Made Men of the family, associates are very important to building up our family as a whole by managing lower level tasks, managing day to day business, and executing orders from higher-ups, to reach that point where they can be made. Mid-High Command of the Bratva are the core and heart of the organization and fully earned the trust and respect of the boss. As a symbol of their authority and status within our faction, our higher command will wear more formal attire such as: suits, rings (custom rings), and dress clothes. The importance of the formal attire is these members will be responsible for making smart decisions when it comes to high-stake meetings, legitimate business dealings, and upholding the faction's interest within the criminal underworld. Family Outings and Deals The Novgorod Bratva values our own family and strength above all else, we will make it a priority to maintain our cultural roots through regular family outings/gatherings. Whether it is a traditional Russian feast, a day out enjoying the city of New York, or a more private gathering at one of our properties, these outings help strengthen our bond with one another and reinforce the loyalty that keeps us united as one. Our main language is Russian if you couldn't tell, we will ensure our ties to our heritage remain strong and that the language of our ancestors is preserved. In these meetings we will host often, it can range from enjoying delicious meals to sharing stories of the old country and singing classic Russian songs, to even making important decisions where alliances are formed and business is conducted. A big source of income within the Bratva would be through crew deals with other allies - a large scale trade agreement in product for a profit on both ends. These trades would be handled with the utmost discretion (following back to the security organization), and we do understand the high risk involved in moving large amounts of illicit goods. Why does this work you may ask? It involves a numerous amount of people, gets everyone involved in decision making and keeps tension high which creates a nice buzz within the community. However, not all people are into that whole criminal underworld business. This is why we will host feasts or celebrations for the Bratva which will be Russian themed, these events will be used for lighthearted roleplay and strengthen the family-oriented nature of our faction which offers a break from the usual high tension activities and lets people develop their characters overall. Novgorod Bratva will host initiation ceremonies for new recruits or potential Made Men, marking their full faith to the Bratva with a symbolic ceremony. If you want to become a game master then you can apply for staff and then apply for GM. The standards for neither are not unreasonable. Unfortunately the permissions that come with being a GM mean it's not something we can just dish out without you first being a member of staff. You could very easily be a GM main as a staff member and fulfill the 20 tickets a week requirement just from tickets related to your event. Although this wouldn't mean you're exempt from other staff obligations. If you want events for you or your faction, there are a number of current Gamemasters who will happily arrange that for you. Just a small thing, but can add to roleplay and decoration to pubs, and adds a small game to play with friends. I think there's a mod for it called MBillards, if I'm not mistaken.

As one person, you can't be at multiple places at once, which is understandable. But, having more committed gamemasters could help ease the level of stress and improve structure during server-wide events. I'd also still expect a heavy amount of "mini-events" for factions like stealing cargo vans/shipments, boosting cars for later event use, hits on corrupt government officials, etc... Real mafia shit like that is always peak to me anyways.

+1 Gamemasters are very important to the server at the right level. Having gamemaster experience in other servers and in the MafiaRP gamemode itself, having an inactive gamemaster team is not very fun. There is only so much RP that can be done on the server, and having more GMs would bring more RP to the server's life.

Ok now im just catching strays here... RPing as a Russian is hard to pull off as I feel the expectations that people have for the particular RP sets a high bar for no reason. For instance, doing an accent that's far more popular in America (The New York/Italian accent) is far easier than a Russian one. Due to the decline in Russian RP and Eastern European RP over time, obviously it makes it harder to create the aforementioned RP with no guidelines or to act as a predecessor for a previous faction. I think as a whole eastern European RP will increase in quality over time as more factions choose to create eastern European factions and as my factions solidifies in the long run and focus more on RP. This is one of the reasons i created the faction to influence the growth of RP and number of factions in this particular area. And P.S. to the app creators, Security company didn't go that well for us i'd try something else.

I know we're way closer to the 90s than we are the 80s, but video arcades were still fairly predominant up until consoles really took off in the early 2000s. Either: A) It's public, and people can play and the way it'd work is after so much score, like let's say their final score is around 1000, this would give them a "100 ticket" item (could use the casino number plates if you wanted to, or create a custom ticket model, either or really) in their inventory. 10,000 score, "1000 tickets" etc, etc. They would then go to the vendor / npc in the building and sell them for real money like oil companies do with their barrels of oil. B) If it's a private business, it'd be the same thing but the family / business would be the only ones with access to the NPC and can sell tickets and give the person a large cut of however many tickets they gave them. (up to the business and / or the law however they want to make it work). EDIT: Instead of a ticket system you could also just utilize the coin exchange machine. Let the business set the price for coins and they can collect the cash the vendor generates. In the end, this could be very legit. People can do their VR chat RP in the arcade, shoot the shit while playing Galaga or some other game, while others who are more serious and want to continue conducting their illegal business and running their shipments don't have to hear "skibidi rizz" and "gmod" / other ooc terms every corner they take. This could isolate a lot of those people to the video arcade if done well and free up a lot of OOC traffic on the streets, while providing another potential legal way for businesses to make money. (I don't know if this is the correct addon I've linked above, but this is what I would guess the games would look like as the addon as well as this video was uploaded a long time ago).

never had the intent to mug or kidnap though, nor even the tools to do so. the gun was initially aimed at a car and because he was laughing at me getting carjacked earlier i did ask him to put his hands up so that he did not take out a gun.
