What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * I have done it twice before, and loved every minute. Now I have time I would love to get back into it as I really enjoyed it before. I feel that with my experience on the server also, it could help the new playerbase that is coming in. I feel my addition to the team would be beneficial and I could contribute greatly to the server. I would also love to help where possible, as I value this server very highly. I feel as long as this server has competent and dedicated staff, the playerbase will remain strong and thats something that I would like to keep, as a loyal member of the community myself. I want to also ensure that people get justice when playing the game and server they love, I feel if we make sure we cover all departments (timezones) then every play in the community can be accounted for, and will make their experience much better on the server. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: *I have a lot of time on my hands, I will be able to play in European timezones but also in US timezones also. I can dedicate a lot of my time towards this, which is the reason I am applying. I have also been staff twice before and know what to do, so having experience is useful for the position. I also feel I have a great understanding and grasp on the community and can work very well with it. Do you have any previous staffing experience? If so, why?: Probably, few years ago for Ltap I believe and one for rdm? Since then I have been staff, re-read the rules and understood what I can and can't do. I also believe maturing is a real game changer when it comes to the internet, thus making my decision making much more improved. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: *I would say I am well known, as the local sheep shagger but let's just say what I am known as is nothing negative. Not that I defend sheep fucking... I would like to think that most people view me as an honest and reasonable person. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: Captain of Patrol was pretty cool, FBI was also very cool, Leading a faction has been cool but the best has to be the cartel war. The RP following the war was some of the best I have seen in the server. Have any staff members recommended you? Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I would inform staff by making a ticket or reaching out in staff chat and explain the situation to them. If I am involved in the situation then I can not handle it, as it could hold a bias standpoint. Therefor I would inform staff. If staff are not online, I would reach out to members and try get someone to deal with the situation. This would be the most professional way to deal with the situation. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: Report it to a higher staff member. Gathering evidence like screenshots and clips would help show what this corrupt staff member has been doing, therefor painting a more clear picture for the person dealing with it, which would make their life easier. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: Every ticket, every report and situation should proceed and continue to proceed without bias. The ticket should be handled as normal, asking for clips if need. Following an investigation, an unbias punishment should be made for the person in question, regardless of whether they are your "friend" or not. Friends do not get a free pass in a situation and should be treated the same as any other member within the community.

What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * I joined Diverge Networks in early November and loved it. I am a very active user who genuinely enjoys roleplay, I play the server almost every day and usually put at least 3-10 hours in. I have enjoyed roleplay for years across games like GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, fallout, and Garry's Mod. I want to join staff to enforce rules and make sure that people are following them to give everybody the best experience. I have enjoyed this server since I joined, it wasn't like a Dark RP server it was different and I liked it better than any other server. I joined Diverge Networks in early November and loved it. I am a very active user who enjoys roleplay. I have enjoyed roleplay for years across games like GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, fallout, and Garry's Mod. I have enjoyed the server since I joined, I play the server a lot and would like to see another side of it. This is my favorite server, I play on it multiple times a week and have put in tons of hours, I want to try out moderating and keep this server great. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * Even though I have not had prior experience being an admin/moderator I am very open to learning and I would enjoy being a staff member. I dedicate lots of hours to this server and have learned so many things and they have stuck with me. I try to handle situations calmly, not being soft nor aggressive but firmly. I also listen to people and hear them out, I'm not the kind of person who will cut anybody off because I want to talk, I wait until they are done talking then I speak my opinion. A lot of people know me because I have a catalogue for clothes and am usually running around the city meeting people and selling suits. I am mostly known in my factions though, I have mostly good reputation's in my faction's and am friends with most people in them. Even though I've only been in the city for almost 3 months I have made lots of friends and met tons of people as well as making a good amount of friends along the way. I have met a lot of people I know through my friends and have become known in little Italy mostly. I've done a lot of roleplay around the whole city which has also helped me become more recognized around the city. Does it constitute possible bias?:I would avoid taking the ticket to prevent any bias but if nobody else was taking it and I had to I would just treat it as I would for any other RDM/Minge ticket.

+1 Diverge old head. I've been around this guy sense he came back to mafia rp. Great player overall and didn't have to refresh anything basic about the sever with him. He doesn't strike me as the type to throw away his interest to play over a small ban and hop on alt if he knew it was gonna perm him. I don't think his intentions came from a bad place either.

Entirely agree. If you want their shit then tie them up and take it before you PK them IMO, at least there is risk involved that way.

-1 While I'm sure the idea comes from a good place, I feel this mechanic can and most likely will be abused in many scenarios.

Community service definitely a +1, a role where youre added to do mandatory tasks that is required as a punishment - though that being said... most people like me would rather just take a 5 minute wait and do other stuff or pay the fine rather than take the time to do actions that is only as quick as you make it be. (i.e collecting 15 pieces of trash and dropping them in the bin... vs 5 years in jail... we know what we're picking here). That being said, not against the idea if we weren't given an option. But perhaps it may serve as a good alternative to more 'moderate' sentences i.e 15-25 years. Public apology? No. Aside from that fines are a thing too.

Cops are intentionally on a different playing field to criminals. They are the whole gameplay counter to being a criminal. Makes no sense to have them subject to the same risks as criminals. As a criminal, you should be wanting to avoid police interaction, because the consequences for if not will be drastic. They can still be PK'd, but unlike criminals most of the situations they are in they are simply doing their job. It is not a criminals job to be arresting people or conducting lawful raids, why should they be punished for that? And why should it be a frequent occurrence? The main argument mentioned in this thread is about cops not "valuing" their life. If you make the decision to try and shoot and cop during being detained and get blasted, that's nobody's fault but yours. You made that decision, not them. Maybe don't be so quick to resort to violence, which I will repeat again is YOUR decision to do that. Think objectively for a second and not what selfishly benefits your roleplay as a criminal, you'll immediately realise why things are structured the way they are. If cops were subject to the same consequences for dying in certain situations; the server would immediately become stale because criminals have no risk and would be able to wipe the floor. No.
