Most reports I make are more akin to calling 9-1-1 because I have just or am about to shoot a man dead for breaking into my house or trespassing on my property. There is hardly a real life equivalent to some of the tattle tale shit. Nobody is calling emergency for you going 5 over unless they’re demented and would’ve called even if you were going 5 under, because a majority of people don’t even know the law and constantly use the law for community policing in USA especially. But on Diverge, the rules exist and we all have to actually follow them. So that means escalation, mugging, minging, etc all has to be regulated by some sort of system. If you can think of an alternative that isn’t a complete troll or self serving slopperino, let me know. I’m a lot more reasonable than I might let on.

I've tried out PD, crim factions, civ factions etc and think that I would both be helpful for the staff team and find it engaging. I believe that after receiving help on countless tickets over the years it's time I pay it forward. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I think something many applicants struggle with is the ability to be unbiased and generally bringing the right attitude to being a staff member. Something I think should be considered is how people act as a normal player before they become staff. I find myself helping new players even if I have no intention of hiring them while other players will belittle them for being new to the gamemode. How do you handle this?: I would clip the interaction and send the report to other staff through @. This would remove any chance of bias on my part. If there were no other staff online I would drop the issue if it was just myself. I would pick up other tickets if this individual is receiving reports for RDM'ing/breaking other rules from players other than myself. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would compile evidence (clips screenshots etc.) with timestamps and a detailed description of what occurred during each event. I would send this evidence to a staff member one rank above the offending staff member and not become directly involved. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: This would constitute possible bias. I would prefer if there were another staff member available to take the ticket to completely remove the possibility of bias being called into question. If I had the ticket I would handle it like I would any other ticket. In my humble opinion, making staff tickets to report any minor rule violation you encounter is actually more harmful to the RP than the rule broken itself. Being pulled out of an RP situation, placed into a strange room, interrogated. The destruction of roleplay. Why? You may have accidentally hit someone with your car, said something out of character, behaved in a way that would anger a career tattle tale. I just had a recent situation where I used my propgun to simulate me throwing trash at the police station as my character was a disgruntled dishonorably discharged cop and there is no “throw” function. Female police officer immediately begins throwing a fit yelling at others to “make a staff ticket for prop abuse” absolutely destroying the roleplay situation at hand. Why is this acceptable? Why do people care so much? Maybe we can think about changing the culture on this server and shame people who frequently make staff tickets over very unserious things.

Hello, As I mentioned in your ticket, the reason why you were PK'd was because the faction you were in had placed an order to kill you, whilst trying to kill you the shooter did not successfully kill you and allowed you to drive off. EXACTLY 35 SECONDS after you took the last bit of damage you disconnected from the server (not crashed). The intentions here are pretty irrelevant. You left the server whillst a damage cool down was applied to you. If you had left say 10, maybe 5 minutes, after the situation this wouldnt been an issue. But seeing as it was only 35 seconds it's definitely questionable and in my view a form of combat log/LTARP. Firstly, distance isnt really the determining faction here, its moreso the time between last damage and disconnect. Secondly, if you believed it was a situation that could have been RDM you should have made a ticket. Again, scene was not over, to say it was "long after" is a mischaracterization.
