What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I have wanted to be part of the staff team for awhile and finally see myself fit. I believe my experience and knowledge of Garry's Mod will benefit the staff team as well as the server and I would love a chance to prove it. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I have years of experience within the city and have a fantastic understanding of the fundamentals behind diverge. My biggest strength is that I take my time to have a full understanding of the situation before taking any action. This has been a great success in my staffing experience. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): As far as Garry's Mod; Atomic Networks (Admin in 2021) and EVORP (former server 2023) Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: No. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: In my personal opinion the people of diverge love my characters and I hold good relations with the members I've come across in my time on the server. I wouldn't say that I'm well know but I'm certainly interacting in the city. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: I have had many but my favorite has to be when my old Russian Bratva was being raided by the police and we had to hold down the old bank. (before it became little Israel) Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: Have a fellow staff member take care of it as I would have bias over the situation. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: Report the activity to whomever supervises said person, as well as submit the video evidence I have against them (I'm ALWAYS recording.) A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? You state in the second part that he gave you no warning and then in your main complaint you wrote that he said, "You are going to get arrested".. In my personal opinion I would have begun to leave at that point in which for the 2ND part of this, you wrote you were trying to leave before he kicked you out while in the video it shows you reversing almost into him when he kicked you out, You could have left instead of doing that.

Howdy thank you for re-submitting your appeal in the correct location. Obviously I was the one who had taken the ticket which led to your PK. https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/kxXUXFnXaP_2Ga0b2?invite=cr-MSx3YzEsNzYyNDUxMQ There is the clip of the altercation that led to your PK. As you may or may not know, starting a violent confrontation with PD and dying will lead to being PKd. In the clip you are attempted to be detained after which you fired upon the probie and ultimately died to the probie. There are no questions of rule breaks in this scenario, you chose to pull a gun on an officer and fire at him and ultimately paid the price. Its not FailRP because the probie kicked you out of the vehicle and attempted to taze you which you responded with violence.

What server rule or PK rule was violated?: I was driving around, and I drove into the PD parking lot and did a couple circles. I was not harming anybody, and a probationary officer came out and said that I was going to get arrested. and as I was trying to leave, he said, "you're getting arrested" and just pulls me out of the car no warning. so, I pull out my gun to shoot him to protect myself from getting arrested to avoid another felony charge, and he ended up killing me. there were no warnings at all in the exchange. I think it's a case of FRP because he instantly jumped to conclusions and tried arresting me without giving any warnings whatsoever. Quote

you're right, I'll add on to them from here; 1. If somebody RDMs and I'm off duty, I don't handle it; I get ON duty and find out the whole situation, a lot of RDM could be an actual hit playing out and I don't want to act on what people don't make a ticket for UNLESS it's just blatant rulebreaking (i.e. mass VDM). For a better step by step, I begin THIS process if the ticket is made; 1. I ask the ticketer what happened and who might be involved 2. I ask the involved persons including the ticketer for a clip of the situation (I do not bother anybody who needs to be brought until I can confirm they are outside of a roleplay situation) 3. If a clip is provided, I review. If not, and there's any kind of dispute or argument between parties in what happened, then I dismiss. If it's only an argument based on what the situation is, this can be solved by actually reviewing the rules for both parties to understand what happened. Teach if possible, but if one party doesn't accept the outcome, I can do nothing about it. Second, If a staff member abuses, since it really is down to the T, I'll report the abuse. Getting any advantage from being staff, icly, is bullshit; I was thinking in the realm of doing fun stuff that staff are usually only able to do, but aren't really harmful there's not a lot that you can do as staff with your powers icly that wouldn't end up being abuse and/or powergame, so I think it's fair we keep a short leash on that type of stuff

I think there are aspects of this application that could be improved. This for example, is a very straight forward question. What Im reading is, if the ticket is up, Ill take it. Well of course thats what we want you to do but how do you handle the situation? The PK stuff doesn't add anything its just a non-sequitur. This question is more or less, asking you find a staff member abusing the tools their staff character has to be given an edge ICly. Yes both of these examples are abuse and would be valid to bring up. I would offer to think more critically about how you respond and how you handle it as opposed to just outright saying its bad. Other than that I would just say this isnt a bad staff application or that you arent capable, I just see very little critical thinking to some of the questions asked. Critical thinking will become a big part of how you handle sits and deal with staff intervention.

Shittor already touched base on the subject but yes these orders are valid. It can be any offense in the families eyes, as long as you have offended them they can give valid orders for your death. Unfortunately the faction leader or trusted individuals can order your death without much insight. On how the pk was done, regardless of your opinion it was still a valid pk and the way it was done does not affect the validity.
