  5. im too lazy to respond so heres my ai take: Moderator Application Review – Vethar (Silvano Altoviti / Anthony Greco / Robert D’Aquino) This application presents a candidate with a significant amount of experience in Garry’s Mod roleplay environments, particularly Star Wars Roleplay communities. The applicant, Vethar, demonstrates familiarity with server moderation responsibilities, ticket handling, and general community management. While the application contains several positive indicators of maturity and experience, there are also areas where the responses could be clearer, more detailed, and more reflective of the expectations typically associated with a moderator position. Overall, the application reflects a candidate who likely understands the operational side of staff work but may benefit from demonstrating deeper familiarity with the specific community they are applying to moderate. Experience and Activity One of the strongest elements of this application is the candidate’s previous staffing experience. The applicant lists several prior administrative roles: Reborn Gaming SWRP – Admin and Senior Admin for 2–4 years Nexus SWRP – Admin for 3 months Drew’s Community DarkRP – Admin for 4–5 months Drew’s Community SWRP – Admin for 5 months This history suggests that the applicant has considerable exposure to the responsibilities associated with moderation, particularly in roleplay-focused servers where rule enforcement and conflict mediation are common. The claim of having served as staff for multiple years on a community—especially reaching the level of Senior Admin—suggests familiarity with both player disputes and internal staff procedures. However, one limitation here is that the application does not elaborate on what responsibilities the applicant held in these roles. For instance, the candidate could have strengthened this section by explaining: Whether they handled appeals or bans If they trained junior moderators Their average ticket volume Their involvement in rule revisions or community management Without that additional detail, the experience is credible but somewhat surface-level in its presentation. The applicant also reports 3 months and 3 days of playtime, which is substantial and suggests strong familiarity with the server environment. That amount of playtime typically indicates the candidate has observed many different situations in-game and likely understands the server culture. Motivation for Applying The applicant’s motivation is primarily centered around helping maintain RP quality and resolving tickets efficiently, which is a solid and appropriate reason to pursue a staff position. The candidate writes that they want to: Maintain RP structure and quality Ensure tickets are handled properly and quickly Help reduce the workload of existing staff Cover lower-population hours where staff presence is limited This demonstrates an awareness of the operational needs of the staff team, particularly the importance of ticket response times during low-staff hours. Many applicants focus solely on enforcement or authority; in contrast, this applicant highlights service to the playerbase, which is a positive sign. However, the response is somewhat generic. Many staff applications contain similar wording, and the candidate could have improved this section by referencing: Specific experiences on the server that motivated them Situations where they felt staff coverage was lacking Particular rule areas they feel confident enforcing Providing concrete examples would make the motivation feel more authentic and connected to the server itself. Self-Assessment and Reputation When asked about their reputation in the community, the applicant states that they believe their reputation is “fine” with only minor disputes during racket events. This answer is honest but somewhat vague. A stronger response might have included: Specific factions or groups they interact with Whether they are known as a serious roleplayer or event participant Examples of positive interactions with other players That said, acknowledging past minor conflicts is actually a positive sign of transparency. No long-term player avoids disagreements entirely, particularly in competitive roleplay environments involving gangs or rackets. The candidate also reports 1–2 previous bans for RDM during an event, which they claim were reversed quickly due to being unjustified. Mentioning prior bans is another point of honesty, though the explanation could be more detailed. A staff reviewer might want clarification on: What exactly happened during the event Whether the bans were formally appealed Whether the issue was due to confusion about event rules Still, the fact that the candidate openly disclosed the bans rather than omitting them reflects integrity. Understanding of Moderation Responsibilities The problem-solving section provides some insight into how the applicant would approach common moderation scenarios. Handling RDM While Off-Duty The applicant gives a reasonable answer here. They correctly identify two possible scenarios: They are personally involved in the situation They are a neutral observer They explain that if they are involved, they would create a ticket rather than handling it themselves. This demonstrates awareness of conflict-of-interest principles, which is important for maintaining fairness in moderation decisions. If they are not involved, they state they would go on duty and gather evidence such as: Player names Clips Logs This indicates familiarity with standard investigative procedures. However, the wording could be clearer and more structured. Moderators are often expected to present concise and decisive explanations of how they handle rule violations. Handling Staff Abuse The applicant’s response to witnessing staff abuse is one of the stronger answers in the application. They emphasize: Gathering clear evidence Ensuring they are not misunderstanding the situation Reporting the issue to higher management if a pattern emerges This demonstrates an understanding of internal accountability, which is crucial in any staff team. The candidate appropriately avoids suggesting public confrontation or accusations without proof. This approach reflects professionalism and awareness of the chain of command. Handling Tickets Involving Friends or Faction Members The candidate takes a cautious stance here, stating they would prefer not to take the ticket if the player involved is a friend or faction member. This is arguably the best answer in the application. Recognizing potential bias and voluntarily stepping aside is one of the most important qualities a moderator can demonstrate. The candidate also notes that if they did have to handle the situation, they would treat it like any other ticket and gather evidence objectively. This balance between neutrality and practical responsibility shows a good understanding of moderation ethics. Weaknesses in the Application Despite the candidate’s experience, several weaknesses appear throughout the application: Lack of Specificity Many responses are very general and could apply to almost any server. Staff reviewers often prefer answers that reference: Specific server rules Unique mechanics of the community Past in-game experiences For example, discussing particular Diverge events or situations they helped de-escalate would make the application more compelling. Limited Personality The application reads somewhat mechanical. While professionalism is important, staff teams also benefit from moderators who demonstrate: Strong communication skills Leadership Community engagement A few anecdotes or examples would help showcase these qualities. Uncertainty About Join Date The applicant states they have “no clue” when they joined the server. While not necessarily disqualifying, this could come across as careless. Staff applicants are typically expected to know basic details about their history with the community. Even an approximate estimate would appear more thoughtful. Final Assessment Overall, this is a solid but somewhat average staff application. The candidate demonstrates: Strengths Significant prior moderation experience Strong playtime on the server Awareness of bias and conflict of interest A reasonable approach to rule enforcement Willingness to cover low-staff hours However, the application is limited by: Weaknesses Generic and somewhat repetitive responses Lack of concrete examples Minimal discussion of server-specific knowledge Slightly casual tone in some sections The applicant appears capable of performing the technical aspects of moderation, particularly ticket handling and dispute resolution. With stronger communication and more detailed answers, the application could have stood out significantly more. If the staff team is primarily looking for reliable ticket coverage and experienced moderators, this candidate would likely be a viable addition to the team. However, if the selection process prioritizes community leadership, initiative, or deep server engagement, other applicants with more detailed responses might appear stronger on paper. Overall Evaluation: Above average candidate with strong experience but room for improvement in presentation and specificity.
  6. In-Game Name(s): Silvano Altoviti, Anthony Greco, Robert D’Aquino Steam Name: Vethar Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/CIV6MAIN/ Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:34428541 Discord Username: Vethar Age: 27 When did you first join the server: I have no clue. I'm going to say 2023-2024 Total playtime on our Servers (Do !time in-game): 3 Months 3 Days Time Zone: EST How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: 8 hours + Have you read the rules?: Yes Do you have a working microphone?: Yes Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): Yes Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: Rusty on them. Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes ------------------------------------------------- Long Answer What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I am applying for a staff position because I want to help maintain the RP structure and quality as well as making sure tickets are done on time and properly so players can be on their way and enjoy the server. I have been playing this server for a long time now and have decided to try and take a step towards helping the community in a non faction based role. I understand that staff members play a very important role in enforcing the rules of the server and making sure conflicts between players are resolved fairly and properly. With my time on the server along with my time as staff on other servers I can help handle situations calmly and objectively while listening to all sides before I make any decisions. My goal would be to help lower the work load on other staff members during peak hours and I also play during the times when there are 2 staff members on. With me being active during lower pop hours I will be able to assist players and handle reports to ensure that players are getting the help they need. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I believe I should be considered over other candidates because of my experience and my passion in making sure players can enjoy themselves and have low wait times on tickets. Having spent a large amount of time playing here I understand the server’s rules, expectations and the importance of making sure tickets are taken and done properly and on time. Because of that I can help cover those gaps during low pop and ensure that players still receive assistance when they need it. My main goal will always be to contribute to the team by being reliable, fair and being available. Do you have any previous staffing experience?: Reborn Gaming SWRP: Admin x4 senior admin x1 (server relaunched like 8 times) time as staff would be around 2-4 years. Nexus SWRP: Admin 3 months Drew's Community DarkRP: Admin 4-5 months Drew’s Community SWRP: Admin 5 months Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: I believe 1 or 2 times during a racket event. I got unbanned within a day because the reason for the ban wasn't justified. It was for RDM. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: Well I believe my reputation is fine besides minor beef here and there during racket events. I would also say I'm well known as I've played for a while now. As for what others think about me I don't really have any ongoing issues nor do I have any issues when talking to others even if they are a part of the other side of things. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: Honestly the war I was a part of was fun. All the chaos and shoot outs! Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: N/A ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: Depends on the context of the RDM. If I was RDMed or witnessed the RDM is completely different. I would either go on duty to handle the situation if deemed appropriate as if I have nothing to do with the situation. If I am a part of the situation I would create a ticket and have it addressed properly there. If not I would go on duty to handle it myself by gathering the necessary information such as the players involved, clips and or logs if available. My goal would be to ensure the situation is handled correctly while following proper procedures. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: If I see a staff member abusing their power I would first make sure that I gather clear evidence and that I am not misunderstanding the situation to make sure I don't cause any issues with them. If the behavior continues or appears to be a pattern I would report it to the higher management with the evidence I have gathered so they can better judge the situation. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I wouldn't take the ticket to avoid any biased claims not that I would be biased but as a safety measure to avoid anything. But if needed to I would treat it like any other ticket and remain unbiased as that is my job and duties as a staff member. I would gather the info either clip or anything else and listen to both sides to get a clear judgement of the situation. Personal relationships should cloud a staff member's judgement and I stand on that. If I do feel that my relationship with the player could create bias, the best option is to just let another staff member handle it.

  10. "Guys I just realized our faction doesn't have any staff members because DopeAsRoe quit, apply or die."
  11. I am aware, but you were an active member of the hit, and burnt and chopped the body yourself - you don't need to get the kill shot to be involved in a don's orders
  12. -1 Thank you for applying to the Diverge Networks staff team. Unfortunately, your application has been denied. You may apply again in 30 days. You may apply sooner if you receive permission from a Super Administrator or higher.
  13. @calink I didn't PK the guy
  14. From what I Know, He's been around for quite a while, Honestly an all around good Role player, and a good member of the community, As mentioned above he is active, and gets serious when necessary to do so, I look forward to seeing how active he is in the position of staff (If accepted) +1

Have you read the rules?: Yes Do you have a working microphone?: Yes Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): Yes Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: No but I am open to learning! Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes ------------------------------------------------- Long Answer What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I would like to apply because I have come to really enjoy the community on this server. I also usually have lots of spare time in-between doing things on my characters. I would really like to help out because when I am on sometimes tickets do not get taken for a while, especially later at night when a lot of issues happen. I am also interested in doing staff work because I have heard good things from my friends that are current or former staff members. All in all, I just really want to help people out and make sure everyone is having a good time. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I think I should be considered over other candidates because of my activity on the server and how long I have been around. Like I mentioned before I am usually on all day on weekdays and even longer on weekends, so I would like to do something productive and helpful to other members of the server during that time overlap. I also really just want to help when no other staff are around or just not taking tickets. I also hope I can learn fast and take tickets as much as possible. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): I do not have any experience in other servers. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: Yes, I have been banned 3 times in the past, the most recent was a Prop Abuse and NITRP ban for 3 days on 12/6/26 by Alamara555. At that time, I was thinking on quitting the server and not coming back, but during the ban I rekindled some relationships with people who play and eventually came back to playing full time. I regret doing it because it is a pointless stain on my record. The ban before that was on 7/22/25 for 12 hours, NITRP, Minge, and Cop Bait by Dr.Hax. I received the ban on a former oil character of mine named Johnny Ballbouncer, I was hanging out with a group of friends and was in the passenger seat of a vehicle that was constantly baiting cops and just causing tons of issues. I learned to be more considerate to the other players who don't find this type of thing funny and learned to be more serious overall. My ban I received longest ago was on 3/31/25 for Mass VDM by Actual Sauerkraut for a day. This ban was definitely one of the worst ones on my record. This ban took place shortly after I got pked from my first faction after coming back from not playing for two years, was still pretty fresh and just acting dumb in general. I believe I have 3 notes, but I do not remember what for. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I do not think I am that well known, some people may know me for my cop char or my former oil char Johnny Ballbouncer. I feel like my time spent on that char may ruin my reputation a bit, but I have tightened up my act since then. I hope that I can get a chance to become more known and liked in the community. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: I loved participating in the racket events of '89 and '90. I also enjoyed watching the Commission vs UA war. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: Boosted, 21schmeckles, Lunar, Yugi. ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: If they aren't in my faction, I will clip it and take the ticket and hand out the punishment as necessary. If they are a part of my faction, I would avoid the ticket in general as bias could be suspected and ask another staff member to try to deal with it. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would gather evidence and clips and make a staff report. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would take the ticket because no matter if it is a member of my faction or not, rdming or any other kinds of acts that break the rules should be punished no matter what and dealt with accordingly without bias.
