Why should you be unbanned?   Reason of my ban is what I presume to be of me shooting up Supreme people at their shop since thats the last event I had before logging off approximately after an hour. There's an active conflict going on so I was near their shop eyeing them up suddenly one of their guys aimed a gun at me, which I asked why 3 times straight to see if its an accident and guess what he just insults me saying "Youre a Scum" so after learning its on purpose to instigate something I just shot him and his friends with guns aimed to shoot so I shot at them too before being hospitalized taking 2 with me. I am sure if theres a clip it'll prove.

Hello, While I'm not the banning member of staff I assisted in making the final verdict on your ban.

Whilst an active threat is cause for killing someone, the individual in question pulled out their gun, then proceeded to put it on safety leading to you shooting him and his friends including one who didn't even have a gun in hand.

Whilst I understand attempting to defend yourself, there's a difference between defence and opening fire on a group of people for the fun of it because someone put their gun on safety and called you scum.

 

Here are the rules mentioned.

In regards to how a user is allowed to react to verbal threats.

There are two types of threats, an 'Active Threat' and a 'Idle threat'. Users may kill for an active threat but they may not kill for an idle a threat.

The difference between the two is situational but will always pertain to if the person making the threats has a weapon in their hand.

For example, someone pointing a gun at you and threatening to kill you. This is an Active threat.

Someone saying they will kill/beat you in an argument or conversation. (Unarmed, weapon on safety etc) that is an idle threat.

You are allowed to react to an Active threat in that moment (Not later when the situation is over).

 

On that note, considering you escalated to violence in his situation you'd be the "Aggressor".

 

You may kill in self defence or in defence of your partners/faction/property (Must have F3). When you've been attacked by an aggressor and survive (you did not aggravate or bait them to hit you) you may return with a weapon to kill them.

 

Which means there was no reasonable level of threat in terms of shooting he group on their business..

 

Please read the rules, as when there is conflict there will be more staff keeping tabs on you, and more reports. So ensure you're taking the necessary steps to roleplay correctly, and make tickets on people breaking the rules so we can handle it.

Hello appreciate your input. First of all I wasn't at the property or outside of it but at pedestrian crosswalk which I came closer to hear what they have said to me. The guy already had a gun on safety he just pointed it at me which I was still not even on the curb of his property or doing anything just standing in middle of the road and it was aimed at me purposefully didn't pull it out to put it on safety.  Then he went on to call me a scum.

 

He has blocked the curb, aimed a gun and called me a scum for no reason.

I asked did you really aim at me on purpose 3 times to make sure.

He continued on with it.

 

As you say yourself purposefully aiming gun and insulting is active threat, just because he put it on safety before I shoot doesn't change the status that he made my character feel threatened with his amigos at back insulting and prepared for it.

Hi, banning admin here. 

He aimed a gun at you momentarily and put it back on to safety without making any threats towards you.

He may have insulted you afterwards, however he did NOT make a threat, he disrespected you then.

You then continued to have a verbal altercation which you then shot him and starting shooting all his friends who were also not an active threat to you, nor did they even get a chance to do anything before you started a shoot out with them as well.

So I confirm that he holds gun at me to threaten me for no reason ON PURPOSE and for people at escalation Im supposed to just let it go? You say yourself but undermined version of "he aimed gun at you momentarily" He held that gun on purpose specifically to me he already had the gun out and had backup. No reason for him to pull out the gun and then start insulting spree.

Its not a enlightening answer how I'm in the wrong for killing a rival that have just aimed a gun at me for the purpose of showing dominance and to insult as the guys pure intention is out there to your logic I need to let this guy headshot me to be able to defend myself maybe he shouldn't be unprofessional enough to point a gun at anybody on street while blocking the curb that's not even part of his shop.
