The escalation rules should be viewed as a shell and starting point, not a rigid checklist. UA looks at the full situation, all factions involved, and all relevant factors before making a determination, including faction size, recent hires, main character status, alt characters, and whether anyone is trying to gain an unfair advantage. The purpose of a lockdown / hire block is to prevent war jumping, temporary recruiting, and alt abuse. It also makes escalation uncomfortable for everyone involved, which should push factions toward a quicker resolution instead of letting the conflict drag out. If someone was actively maining a faction but never formally set it as their main, that is ultimately on the player and their faction leadership. If they were involved enough to be impacted by the escalation, they should have seen it coming and made sure their main was properly set. Leadership also has a responsibility to warn members before things reach that point. A lock can be adjusted or removed if UA believes the specific situation calls for it, but it should not be assumed. Unless UA clearly states otherwise, factions should treat the lockdown and main character requirements as active. In your case, you were scared because you thought Popov was going to PK you, so you left the faction to do hits for Supreme in another faction. Once you realized there was no orders you left the other faction and now are stuck as a civ. watching from the outside. If you want numbers.....at the start of the escalation Supreme had 140 alts(More than any other crim. faction) to Popov 30 alts, for mains there were 25 for Supreme and 13 for Popov...... this was taken into account during the main lock decision.

This is the mug attempt by harbor where you attempted a mug while someone was in a car. Under the mugging/FearRP rules, someone inside a vehicle can only be held under FearRP if the mugger is within 5 feet, has the weapon pointed at them, is ordering them out, and the vehicle is fully stopped, blocked, or immobilized. FearRP does not apply to someone in a moving vehicle. In this situation, the car did not stop at all during the clip, and you gunned the driver down. Because that standard was not properly met, it has been deemed as a fail mug. In the above situation, your actions were came after your friend open fired and the other side did try to fire back at your friend, thus making okay for you to return fire. However, I do think the situation did not follow proper escalation rules, so staff was in the right to get involved and issue punishment. This does not fully excuse your actions, so the appeal is accepted as a reduction rather than a full removal. The ban will be reduced to 3 days.

I mean almost like we already have rules about this…. Entry level associates who are not made or deeply committed to the organization may leave without harm as their position is low and they know very little. (Security, waiters, doormen, drivers, etc) of course if you bring unwanted attention by doing crime admin still has discretion…

The situation had reasonable RP behind it, as he witnessed someone fleeing from the scene of a dead body, and an average officer could reasonably view that person as a suspect in the moment. We have seen Riggs and other officers unload into vehicles in the past, but in this situation Riggs actually showed some restraint, which is surprising and worth noting. The clip also shows he did not damage the individual, which is important context. That said, the escalation still was not perfect. PD should be attempting to arrest suspects when possible, not firing unless there is a clear active threat. Riggs is still on thin ice moving forward, and any similar situation may result in much harsher punishment. The ban will be lifted from your account shortly. Your situation escalated into a full shootout with police, and once lethal force is involved, everyone tied to that scenario takes on that risk. Even if you didn’t ask for help, the person who intervened was apart of your faction and did so on your behalf, which directly links you to the escalation, you don’t get to separate yourself from the outcome when it goes bad. Being detained doesn’t make you immune in an active gunfight, and collateral damage is a realistic result of that kind of RP. Lag or a misfire doesn’t change that this was a legitimate scenario with real consequences. On top of that, this isn’t the first time you’ve pushed the edge of server rules, in fact this may be the 3rd time this char has been pk'd.... and the officer involved was fine with the PK, so there’s no real reason to overturn it.

Void is a loose term here, we don't just allow anyone to "void" rp at anytime. WHen he said both sides agree to "void" it, it was never a the entire rp is void, reset from beginning etc. as that is solely left to the discretion of staff. I did not reset RP, the PK orders were given, and I let RP play out. As I stated previously if you guys came up with a mutual agreement that the snitching would stop etc. that was an agreement between the two of you, it did not negate the orders that were given.

Hello, I am the one and the only Boomroasted you mention. I never voided anything, RevampedRebel made a ticket stating powergame, I did not make a formal ruling on it, but you and Revamped decided not to stop the snitching etc. The RP was never voided by any member of UA, if you decided with Revamp to stop the snitching and working with the DA's office that is IC decision and was not affected by any UA decision. There’s a reason cars despawn, and it’s not just so people don’t steal them. Cars despawn to help with sever performance. Why yes it can be a nuisance to see your car despawn after x amount of time but in all reality I think the vast majority of players would agree that when the sever is at max pop limiting cars sitting out greatly helps with over all performance. On top of that how would you manage people parking cars in the middle of the road and turning them into props….

I am fine if the RP wants to be reset, and you provide the necessary information to go to court then you may be UnPK'd to fight the charges, but until that time the PK should stand.
