Hard to tell from your friend's POV, unfortunately, Normally, if a cop were to shoot at you first, you could retaliate without risk of being pked (unless they've changed it) I'm not sure how it works since you were running with your friend, and from his POV, as soon as he shoots the cop, you have a gun out in one of the frames. Maybe if you were completely unarmed the entire time, but from what I can see, you had a gun out (which is a valid reason to shoot), along with firing at the police. Regardless, good luck, man. I'd recommend downloading Medal to clip your perspective as well.

I first started playing Diverge quite a few months ago, and over the course of a year, I had an absolutely great time playing. A few months back, I got busy with a lot of work and had to gradually stop altogether, but I'm no longer busy, and the sparks are back, I suppose. Being a crime char, and even being staff for a time, led to me making some unforgettable buddies who I still speak with to this day. My main reason for applying (again) is just wanting to give it another shot. I personally thought I did pretty well before, but a lot of the good came at a bad time, so I regret stopping. I very sincerely apologize to Boom and Dong for wasting your time on the last one, if I had known that would've happened, I would've waited. Hopefully, you guys can look past it. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * I think I should be considered over others because of my general knowledge of the rules and stuff. and prior experience. Before, as a staff, I don't believe I had any issues with anybody, and my sits were *always* unbiased. Besides that, I feel like I'm a pretty fair and helpful person, and I would hope most people agree with me. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: * I would say I'm fairly well known. I built a pretty solid reputation as a crime char first, and then honestly expanded on that as a staff member. My char (The honorable Timm Caputo) unfortunately got his shit blown off recently and now has a... more embarrassing reputation, but prior to that, he was a lawyer, and I had good relations with most of the factions and quite a bit of the HC. After becoming staff, I made a PD char around the same time, and went into detectives as a corporal from patrol, and I'd say Maurice is equally as well known, honestly, I wasn't *too* harsh. was a part of many events, and has brought a lot of people together, I would hope they remember me. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: One of my favorite moments was early on my crime char, I was driving a Dodge Diplomat around with some Takahashi people and hit a barrel roll over a police stop without even knowing it was there. The absolute best part was messaging people afterwards with my POV, and getting their POV's since I wasnt aware they saw it. Was Spectacular. Have any staff members recommended you? Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I'd wait a minute to see if someone else claimed the ticket, if not I would swap over (aslong as im not in something active) and claim and handle the sit. If I was in an active scenario, just ask someone else to claim it before the guy leaves or something. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I'd just passively gather everything that they've been doing, and reach out to someone higher or make a staff report. Along with asking anyone who's been on the receiving side for their input/evidence. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them, accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I'd try and get someone else to handle it first, if it's not possible, and even though I know them, I'm gonna proceed normally. As much as I enjoy my buddies, nobody gets special treatment, twin. Any situation involving someone you know can seem like it's biased from an outside perspective, which is why it's honestly just better to ask someone else to handle the sit. --------------------------------------------------------- Please understand that once a staff application is posted you are open to receiving either negative or positive critique from the community as well as staff. Your consistent activity on the server will also be monitored and applications can remain open for weeks before any sort of decision is made on them.

Also uh, FearRp does go both ways. You just have to outnumber the police officer. You cant expect to intimidate someone with a gun and bulletproof vest as much as if they weren’t wearing it. Ive mugged and killed a police officer before, you just need a group of 4 or so people, and follow the FearRP rules of course. And if they’re off duty? Free game, the same protections dont apply to off duty police.

Just be friendly with cops lol, ask em Whatsup occasionally, maybe a free meal here and there, but don’t make your family think you’re a snitch. I was running right past 90% of the PD with fucking full inventories of cocaine, plus a full trunk. Most of them don’t *want* to arrest someone they’re chill with, and more than likely know the person across multiple chars. You only really see cops arrest people who they dislike or just…. But I also think a lot of people know me as Mmmm_Cookies mainly, whether that be from tickets, events, event messages, or talking in the Discord. or just trying to help new people. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far? I have a few favorites, but my most memorable had to be the seasonal stuff. This past Halloween the GM's were doing stuff around the map to spook people I guess, it consisted of being mannequins and moving when people weren't looking, following them around, spawning stuff in the sewers and letting people run around in the dark to fight zombies and bugs, very fun times and a large part of the reason I also applied for GM. Besides that? I loved the racket events, have a few clips of the one a few months ago where a shit ton of Lucchese tried to come in, and I was in a dark ass corner with a Famas, haha. I also just loved driving around. The tunnel entrance/exit besides the big hospital is great to come flying out of. I've hit a few barrel rolls and even one over a police stop. How do you handle this?: If the ticket was still open after a few minutes, I would switch to my staff character and take it, aslong as I'm not in the middle of an RP scenario. You have seen a fellow staff member of a higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: Noticeable or not, abuse is abuse. I would gather as much proof as I can without taking too long to prevent it from being forgotten, and report it to the next higher person, or open a UA ticket/submit a regular staff report. I'd ask anyone who I know was affected for any proof they may have, compile everything, and submit it all. A member of your faction/friend of yours has a ticket made against them, accusing them of RDM’ing and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: If someone else was available to take the ticket, I would ask them to. If it fell solely upon me, I would review any proof and evidence provided and deliver the punishment that fits. Anything involving a person you're friends with can constitute bias; that's why I would prefer for someone unrelated to take the ticket. But if it came down to it, I can and will (and have) handle any situations involving people I know and regularly interact with. ---------------------------------------------------------

And if its possible to proceed with the situation (assuming a ticket was made) without it being biased or constituting bias, not you Besides this, you forgot character names, Steam name, Discord as Monaclu mentioned. Hey man, banning Admin here. You were banned for RDM and, within the last few days, had racked up a few prior offenses after just returning from a permanent ban. While potential accidents happen, you still shouldn't be grabbing someone and running off with them, regardless of the situation. If you weren't intending on kidnapping her/running away, you could've just moved her to the sidewalk out of harm's way. problem is like, there are already rules about pks yk, you need a *semi good* reason, cant just be something simple like "bringing heat" or "breaking faction rules" if it ever IS, I highly encourage anyone to appeal, but most people don't, so everyone thinks it's just super easy. While yes, it prompts you with a warning screen when entering a crime faction, server rules kind of contradict it by saying you cant kill someone who hasn't participated or involved themselves with crime, and if it's anything beyond touching that faction's racket, you need evidence (fleeing from police, selling guns, etc). Killing anyone for any reason would be cool, but it would remove like 95% of all character appeals. Plus, what benefit do you gain by killing someone who has no knowledge of crime? You're basically taking a guy off the streets, "training" him and giving him money, then deciding you wanna kill him, Are you guys just PK hungry, or are you sociopaths lmao. If you really wanna kill someone, just tell him not to touch drugs under any circumstances (and hope he doesnt listen) or get him to disrespect you in some way idk.

the thing is that like nobody cares, most people will just claim a ticket and comp immediately, and seniors and supers cant be on to monitor sits all the time (making sure they arent abusing this command) so it just goes unchecked/unnoticed
