  1. Good evening Coco, not one to usually come back and reply to things but I thought I would find you here when writing about how I'm known in the community. First things first I dont get this refrence to Ms Magical so its an unfortunate miss for me on how to improve myself in your eyes. Secondly, being very up front, if this is something that I start doing I would gladly have the records cleaned for our, and other relationships. To explain my relationship with JMZ, I was often bullied and had a bad time on the server with him, when his ban appeal was coming up, alot of people were putting in their two cent, and just like everyone else I also thought I deservedly could join in on this and give a perspective that might not be known as I wasnt very vocal about how he would make me feel while playing. Never had I gone after jmz or anyone in that circle, they would always interact and begin verbally abusing me first. Being very honest since being removed I havent thought of jmz until brought up, like most people if JMZ was to return to diverge I would also offer this slate to be wiped clean, as a staff member in situations biases must be removed, and this would be one of them. To clarify too, I've never held a grudge or negativity to this circle of people, as previously stated I have moved past this with incredible ease as it no longer means anything to me. Since conflict has ended I've never shit talked nor harassed anyone or any business on the server as firstly I have no reason too and secondly this would be breaking the rules of escalation. If you've seen me in the city recently I am either keeping to myself at the lobster, been talking to everyone in streets or on my oil character I've actually had good working relationships with other parts of the city that my main character wouldn't normally experience. I'm glad that you have kept some skepticism due to prior posts so I can clarify my current view points on situations, again any issues with me personally please reach out. Thank you again Coco, all the best.
  2. In-Game Name(s): Shaniqua Buffalino/Terry Lawrence Steam Name: shauningt Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/shauningt/ Steam ID: Steam_0:0:59300760 Discord Username: Shauningt Age: 24 When did you first join the server: January 2025 Total playtime on our Servers (Do !time in-game): 2 Months 5 Days 19 Hours 46 Minutes. Time Zone: UK GMT/BST How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: 2/3 hours during the week, 4/5 hours on Saturday/Sunday Have you read the rules?: Yes Do you have a working microphone?: Yes Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): Yes Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: No Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes ------------------------------------------------- Long Answer What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * Being very honest my main motivation is to one day become a game master running small and medium sized scriptless events for players but to get there I understand what is expected, even when a gamemaster that being staff comes first. Outside of the long term goal, I would like to become a staff member to help with the community, often being on during low populated hours for the early morning UK folks to about midday where there isn't many staff members on. Along with this I would obviously also help in peak hours too. Having a staff member on during low populated hours though is useful for those who might experience issues that stop them coming back to the server. Overall my motivation stems from wanting to protect peoples experience, and improve their quality of experience while on the server. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * Although I'm not experienced with SAM and/or Nutscript commands, I am willing to learn, and able to admit when I need help with something, rather than going rogue and trying to do my own thing. I also understand that there is a learning curve within these roles and won't get frustrated when decisions might be overturned by senior staff members too. I understand server rules and the importance of and how to expand player experiences alive. I would also listen when needed, but also push back and question why something may be happening if it seems wrong at the right time and place. When doing work I am resilient and also like to work to a high standard as I know my work represents me as a person as well, I'd rather be out there known to be doing high quality pieces of work even if that means that I'm taking my time when doing it and getting fully up to speed with what is needed to be a staff member. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): I have previously been an event manager of the Stasis Starwars RP for a year from 2017-2018. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: No, I do have a couple of notes, for incidents being genuine mistakes that I have since learned from. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: * I'd say that I am known in my circles, I would like to think that people see me as approachable and open to converse. When out and about in the city I try to show to respect to everyone, not starting beefs for no reason and even when presented with conflict I'd prefer to settle it with a talk rather than drawing guns. I'm gonna be honest too, theres a circle of people who I know don't like me, like to call me trans, etc., frankly I don't care about these comments and wouldn't let this get in the way of an unbiased view when staffing. When playing, my perspective is there being a split between my char and my actual self, so anything Shaniqua/Terry experiences is then separate from staff shauningt. As a staff member I'd rather have a reputation of being fair and unbiased, but also being a genuine help to anyone who opens a ticket no matter what faction they're in. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: Since starting in January I've had plenty of laughs but also plenty of serious RP moments, one of which a small event that I coordinated within people of my faction. We organised for a high profiles member car to be taken (a character I was playing stole the car). We gathered all the active associates to then chase the car down without using guns and keeping the cops attention away from what was going on, the event ended with a hostage situation that was deescalated. It was a small event that didn't impact the wider server but it was fun for everyone who has involved, it was great getting associates involved with something that wasn't the usual grinding and put emphasis to RPing. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: Callink, Falcon ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: *Edit. Didnt answer my bad. Any issue that involves myself should be handled by another member of the team, meaning that the issue is looked out without bias, and removes the question of any vendettas, or abuse of power coming from a spur of the moment incident. I'd follow the usual process that any other player would do, making a ticket, presenting evidence and having a sit. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: The first step to this situation would be: First I'd start by reaching out for an informal chat either in game or on discord, just to check in that they know what theyre doing is wrong sorta thing, if what theyre doing is nothing too noticeable it might be that they thought what they were doing was okay, or they didn't realise it was having an impact on RP. If it were to continue I'd send them a message so the issue can be dated and can be in writing where we both acknowledge the situation in a paper trail, and if they continue there is evidence of them being told what they're doing is wrong. Continuing after this I'd prevent the evidence (clips, messages, etc.) to the chain of command to ensure that the right person is able to deal with the situation correctly, rather than publicly airing out any disputes this would be done privately between the accused, myself and the chain of command. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: There are two routes in this situation to take: Way 1 (less severe incidents): Deal with the ticket like any other ticket for this sort of infraction, if its minging, this would be dealt with on basis of the severity of minging, if they're just being annoying, doing the usual sit giving them a warning/note. For things such as RDM, again following the usual protocol of investigating the incident with clips, logs, etc and applying the correct punishment to the infraction they've committed. Way 2 (more severe incidents): If I know that I am going to have an extreme bias or trouble assessing the situation from the perspective of all parties I would either call in another moderator/senior staff for support and explain how my bias may be influencing a final outcome and ask for their opinion before committing to it. This means there is a less chance of an appeal if a third party has also been involved within the situation, although as a staff member myself I should be this third party myself, as previously stating, taking my character out of decisions and following the rules of the server equally for everyone as a staff member. ---------------------------------------------------------
  3. This is a really informing and genuinely nice forum post to read, that brings evidence and examples of previous incidents and how the roleplaying experience can be improved, with this rule change as well it is balanced and wouldn't cause harm to the current state of play on the server. Prime example of how to make change in a positive way! TLDR: Massive +1 to this.
  4. +1 Makes sense. Eases the pressures and responsibility that currently stay with one person, especially since the old system prior was anyone being able to call an admin to whitelist.
  5. I would enjoy losing money at this!
  6. -1 TLDR: Keep jmooresy banned cake. Starting diverge I had jmz repeatedly shout abuse at me with no context of the rp of the server, later finding out that this guy was a staff member and was treating me like this in my first steps of the server could've pushed some people away so I'm glad I knew to ignore someone just dribbling hatred for no reason as after this and joining a faction that wasn't just shouting abuse at me. Further more I've had this guy show up to an apt in ghetto, switch to his staff char to see what was happening and then switch back to his main char. (What a lovely second meeting). During the conflict I had repeatedly again received abuse (including telling me to kill myself) from jmz but also from his cronies who were instructed to spout the same hatred that this insecure wee guy had spent months shouting at me. Finally moving on from my own bias and looking at the situation from a wider perspective, this is just me, I've talked to other people with similar experiences, these are the people who have stuck around, how many people has jmooresy bullied off the server before the got a chance to explore it? With the events that took place and in the lead up to the ban jmooresy was known to be a nuisance, but went over the line truly with the doxxing. To upload a ban appeal 6 days later stating to have changed, while hanging around in diverge general in my personal opinion shows a lack of growth and learning and more of a desperate plea and bargaining to try and claw his way back in without fully taking on the consequences of what he has done, without thinking about now others may feel about him being back, especially those who has harassed and ultimately doxxed, minor or not it's a complete arsehole move and I would be disappointed with the higher ups of the server if a ban was lifted so soon for behaviour that is hurting the servers player base at an ooc level. If you're reading to this point jmooresy, I do feel bad for you, I get you've spent a lot of time and money creating friendships and community on the server but I do think you need to reflect on how you make others feel before you open your mouth sometimes, not even as a staff member but as a player too, I have to give it to you recently you were becoming less cuntish but once again you've only got yourself to blame for the events that happened which lead us to your ban.
