  1. Your Character or Steam Name: MADlarkin Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:524882549 Your Discord ID#: madlark Reason for ban: Dox Threats on 11/30/2022 Length of ban: Perm Reason for appeal (apology): So I recognize a handful of things in my ban and the reasoning behind it. I was both childish and immature in my actions. It was foolish to even say what I said in sheer anger. I never would have done it. I simply do not have the knowhow or the tools necessary anyways even if I did. I understand that the reason I was banned is a severe one and this will often not be lifted lightly. I have waited nearly three years and hope that this lengthy sentence adds some sort of strength to my request. Why should you be unbanned?: I never had the means nor true motive to carry out my baseless threat. While I understand that this does not minimize my actions, I hope the added context in combination with my sincere remorse on the matter may be enough to warrant a final chance. I do also accept that if I fuck up one more time that it may be final which is something I can live with for the chance to be able to play with my friends again. I hope that my words had no true lasting effect on anyone and I will atone for them whether or not this is the case. Additional Information (images, videos, etc): I accept that I am at the mercy of the community on this one, and know that the chances are not entirely high. I just hope that some mercy can be spared for me so I can come back to be an upstanding member of the community. In the time since the ban, I have not tried to alt or weasel my way around the rules. I have learned my lesson and sincerely wish to come play with my friends again.

I'm very patient and I could be calm under pressure (like when dealing with a minge starts getting annoying/heated). I want to keep this place a minge free server to the best of my ability. As I mentioned before in my previous staff application, I can tell the difference between an annoying minge and a new player that doesn't really know the rules/know what they're doing. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I balance decisiveness and compassion. I can enforce rules without "drama ing" up, and I always explain staff decisions. I'm detail oriented fine with logs, clipping evidence, and writing legible notes so my cases are reproducible and transparent. I am on most of the time so I'll be there anytime a member needs me. I have a lot of free time on my hands and I've been playing a lot more than I used to. I am on pretty much every day and if I'm not on the server, I'm interacting with members via faction discords and such. Do you have any previous staffing experience?: Yes, Moderator in Diverge Networks. Current Moderator and Gamemaster for an up and coming Wildwestrp, Frontier Networks. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: Yes, Item transfer, Metagame, Unauthorized Diverge Related Discord. (Ban got appealed) Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I would say I'm decently well known in the community. I hang around a lot of faction discords and I'm meeting people pretty constantly. I'd say I'm known as approachable and helpful, I help newcomers to the server and teach them the ropes. I also try my hardest to avoid OOC drama and don't let it interfere with my RP. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: My favorite moment was the recent event Canadian Bacon held, we had to sneak through the governors mansion and the RP was fun, funny, and serious. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: N/A ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I wouldn't retaliate nor handle it personally, I would take a clip of the incident and try to get the attention of a different staff member and send them the clip. If there are no other staff members online I would switch to my admin char and make sure the culprit isn't in an active RP scenario, I would then pull him to a sit and handle him accordingly. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would take personal notes of everything they do. I would not confront them publicly nor in game and I would avoid creating drama. I would then follow the staff chain of command, I would send clips of everything the staff member is doing to another member of UA and let them do the work. I would take clips, screenshots and get as much evidence I can against them. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would let another member deal with the ticket. If there were no staff around or they are busy with tickets, I would voice that it's one of my friends and that there could be bias. If I have to handle it, I would bring in a second staff member for transparency then deal with the ticket as it should be. If they're at fault and they broke the rules of the server, I apply the standard punishment. Yes it constitutes as possible bias.

  4. A system where staff can add whitelisted links to a vhs tape in the same way a typewriter works. The tape can then be inserted into a media player. Or perhaps a VCR hooked up to a media player. | This would be sweet for having another form of physical media on the server. | An example of this being used is when an interview takes place at the PD, it can be recorded and placed into the evidence locker relating to the case, which can then be used in the court room. | I feel like this would be amazing for RP.

In-Game Name(s): Luca Vintaloro, Arturo Venzago, Sebastian Garcia, Caesar Rossi and Glenn Jones Steam Name: Bullets Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/Jitq/ Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:746698861 Discord Username: 'ibullets.' Age: 16, turning 17 on the 24th When did you first join the server: 2nd of June 2024 Total playtime on our Servers (Do !time in-game): 97 Days Time Zone: EST How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: 3 hours daily, around the same as last time. Have you read the rules?: Yes Do you have a working microphone?: Yes Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): Yes Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: Yes Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes ------------------------------------------------- What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * The reason I am applying again is because I enjoyed staffing up until I began getting burnt out, around the 8 month mark of me becoming staff, but I also would like to come back, help out the server again. I would really like to come back and try to become a GM like I planned on last time, I have better ideas for events. I think over the 3 months of playtime I've racked up on the server I can confidently say I could answer almost any question a newer player would have as well as maybe some seasoned players that might not really know some of the tiny things, same with staffing since I've been around before I could help out the first time moderators with commands, decisions and logs. This time around I want to be all around helpful to anyone who is need of it. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * I believe I should be considered over other candidates because like I've mentioned I am well experienced and I also know how to deal with problems that somebody else wouldn't. I am fairly active compared to last time, I am pretty unbiased when it comes to punishments like last time I was staff I had to ban a pretty good friend of mine @Davis, he was being a minge and had to be dealt with. I've also banned/pked my own members in my faction for rule breaks. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): AtomicRP - Mod around 3 times, 3 months at a time. Diverge Admin - 9 months give or take Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: I was banned last year for MVDM and last month for RDMing somebody. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: * I'd say I am pretty well known, but definitely not a fan favourite over on the Underground Alliance side of the server. My reputation varies, one side people would say they like me but the other side doesn't, there isn't a way for me to say with 100% certainty how the community views me as a person or a figure in the server, I'm sure you will see with the comments. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: I've had a lot of good times on the server so I can't really pick one, I do upload a lot of my faction activity on a YouTube channel: YouTube. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: ------------------------------------------------- Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I would make a ticket my self on the forums or ingame. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would file a staff report or make a UA ticket. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would deal with the sit as I would normally if they have recent notes about the same thing I would ban them, if they didn't have recent notes or no notes at all I would just give them a note. If I punished him differently (not noting/banning them for example) then if I didn't know him that would be completely biased. I would also call for a different staff if the reporting player wants a different one because of suspicion of bias.

  8. " Rules specify, “The order must be given in-game by the Don or trusted High Command member of the family… The person receiving the order must have the identity (f3) of whomever is giving the order, they need to know who their boss is, they can't receive an order from someone they don't know” (Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: Family Member Kills). I had no in-game interaction, no opportunity for dialogue, no warning, and never even received a basic introduction from any current leadership. I was presented with no RP opportunity to amend, clarify, or officially leave, nor was I told of taxes or obligations—because I was never made aware or added to the new group’s infrastructure at all. How can I be held accountable for rules, policies, or debts I was never told about by a management team I neither know nor recognize? I am not theirs to “discipline” or PK. If taxes or participation truly mattered, the Don could and, per the rules, should have reached out IC to clarify, offer a way to pay or leave, or set expectations before even considering a PK (Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: Family Member Kills)." I am the faction leader in which you were actively under our whitelist (you could've left in 2024, it was NOT sanzen in 2024.) Regardless to that I think you have some misunderstanding of the PK rules and I'd like to clarify something to you, aswell as the reasoning. “The order must be given in-game by the Don or trusted High Command member of the family… The person receiving the order must have the identity (f3) of whomever is giving the order, they need to know who their boss is, they can't receive an order from someone they don't know" - This is referring to the person TAKING the orders. Has NOTHING to you with you btw. Whoever has the new feature "Captain" is allowed to make PK tickets for reasons they see fit. I am not theirs to “discipline” or PK. If taxes or participation truly mattered, the Don could and, per the rules, should have reached out IC to clarify, offer a way to pay or leave, or set expectations before even considering a PK If you hadn't left the discord, you would have had some options - but you clearly went rogue. And alongside that, you we're definitely "ours to discipline". You forgot to unwhitelist yourself when your buddies sold the faction, at some point came back, joined the Takahashi discord, and left the takahashi discord in 2024. This is not our fault and 100% on you for breaking faction rules. Just because "Rage from Sanz" gave you permission to run around for free, does not mean "Douchebag from Takahashi" is allowing you to do the same. You should acknowledge that when a faction has a leadership change, the moment you interact with them (you gave your name to lucky. and I'm sure I had it but I just didn't know who tf you were) and then go rogue again, you sold all of your chances of leaving without reprocussion. Your choice was to stay. You could've left the whitelist before Lucky got your name, before anyone investigated you, you could've extracted your character from Sanzen into Citizens of NY, so I'm confused where you are angry with us instead of yourself for this one.

  10. Well with a bit more context, I don't believe you knowingly or immorally committed admin abuse. I do however believe at this time that you had insufficient evidence or reason to authorize the PK and were misinformed or misled by the member who ordered the HIT. Nothing personally against your competence or judgment. I just believe that you were misled and so you didn't have sufficient evidence to authorize. No big deal. I'll explain: I appreciate the response and opportunity to clarify, but I must respectfully and thoroughly dispute the validity of this PK. I was an original member of Sanzekai and, following that group’s disbandment, never joined, was never initiated into, nor invited by the faction Takahashi-Kai. After Sanzekai’s discord and faction closed, I was never added to or even contacted about the new group's discord, and thus have had zero communication with or knowledge of any new management, leadership, rules, or expectations. My only connection to Takahashi-Kai is an accidental technical placement—simply leftover from Sanzekai’s roster, not from any in-character recruitment or roleplay. The only possible way I can be in this faction is if Sanzekai's faction server file was recycled into an entirely new group (when it should have been demolished with Sanzekai's disband, starting a new faction from scratch). This, I believe to be a non-malicious server-side error that harmed my RP IC continuity. I have not been present for any meetings, have never visited the new faction’s locations, do not know their vendors or products, and have not been informed of any dues, obligations, or rules. It is impossible for me to be a “liability” to a group I have never even spoken to or been made aware of in any capacity. I have none of their info or "secrets". For further context, I once had a discord conversation during the closing stages of Sanzekai where new management brought up my inactivity, dues, and possible removal from the faction, as I was busy earning a doctorate in real life and couldn’t play much for a couple years. Rage and other high-ranking Sanzekai members told the new leaders that I was very busy IRL but was an original since spring 2021 and should be grandfathered in. They explicitly agreed to let me stay on the roster as an OG who only pops into town, with an understanding that I did not have the same tax requirements while inactive and that I was always welcomed back. I have only played 2 times briefly to reminisce and walk around town late at night for like 20-30 minutes since I noticed the map changed and I’m randomly in Takahashi-Kai, With Sanzekai gone and all those high-ranking members, including Rage, now gone as well, there is no fair IC continuity or expectation by which Takahashi could claim a legitimate PK reason against me. I do not know any current Takahashi management or have any connection to their operations. Another layer of complication is added where Diverge Networks does not have specific, detailed rules governing faction transitions or what happens when one faction dissolves and another takes over its infrastructure and member roster (consider this an opportunity to update/improve your server rules regarding faction disbands and transitions ). My search results online show various faction applications and one case where faction transfers caused technical "PK registration" issues, but no established protocol for member liability transfer from dissolved factions to successors. There are no rules requiring new leadership to honor previous agreements, notify members of faction changes, or establish how someone becomes officially "part of" a successor organization versus just being on an inherited roster. This regulatory gap actually strengthens my appeal argument because I cannot be held liable under faction rules I never agreed to, by leadership I never met, in an organization that I never officially joined due to the absence of proper succession protocols. Per the server rules, a valid PK must be based on “repeated… poor behaviour, misconduct, violation of your family rules or even blatant disrespect of made men in your organization… there has to be tangible damages, disrespecting someone once is not a reason to kill someone. This also means you cannot PK someone for mucking up JUST one time. Having continued issues or warnings about behaviour or disputes can cause escalation to a PK. (record the Warnings/encounters/transgressions need be (very important key evidence invalidating PK))” (Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: Family Member Kills). In my case, I have not received any warnings, and there is no documentation or record of repeated problematic behavior, damages, or disputes—because there have been none. My only absence was due to real-life reasons, openly discussed a year or so ago with previous leadership, and never addressed IC or OOC by anyone in Takahashi-Kai. I would like to see evidence (from he who ordered the hit) of old posts or records that indicate I was on their discord (Discord: .butface; I never was), or video/text/log evidence of warnings or attempt to rectify debt or liability (which should exist before the on-duty staff member approves a PK, so I expect they should be provided here in the report as the sole basis for evidence legitimizing the hit; there is none and that would be insufficient evidence at the very least making this a clear violation of DivergeNetworks PK rules and a mistrial). This guy is just a hater that I don’t know who was bored at 3am. Rules specify, “The order must be given in-game by the Don or trusted High Command member of the family… The person receiving the order must have the identity (f3) of whomever is giving the order, they need to know who their boss is, they can't receive an order from someone they don't know” (Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: Family Member Kills). If taxes or participation truly mattered, the Don could and, per the rules, should have reached out IC to clarify, offer a way to pay or leave, or set expectations before even considering a PK (Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: Family Member Kills). None of the classic, codified PK reasons—such as betrayal, snitching, repeated warnings, harm to the family, or disrupting RP continuity—apply in my case, nor are they documented. Instead, this action appears to be purely mechanical, rooted in auto-inheritance of Sanzekai records (server-side design/continuity error/non-optimal server file management), not in-character escalation, repeated damages, or any real dispute. The rules are clear that “a valid reason is required for all PK’s. A PK’s approval is entirely dependent on the reason given, if you give a weak reason such as ‘he disrespected me’ then your PK will not be approved” (Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: General PK Rules). The policy is also clear about the “left faction” clause: it applies only if a made member actively leaves, is informed, and has a two-week window with a clear in-game reasoning and evidence; there must be RP continuity and sufficient cause (Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: Family Member Kills). I never received any communication IC or OOC offering a way to leave or clarify my position, and I did not even know that I was considered part of any “new” organization or was on any “list.” Additionally, the requirement is for “tangible damages, unwarranted harm in a financial (+10,000$) or repeated physical way,” not mere inactivity or tax owed when no opportunity to pay or even notification of dues was ever provided (Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: Family Member Kills). I was not actively participating, had no chance to respond, and the organization’s claim is based only on record-keeping rather than RP process. Bottom line: Punishing a character who did not join, was not inducted, never informed of expectations, and is accused of non-participation in a group he was never actually part of is fundamentally unfair—and strictly contrary to the letter and spirit of Diverge’s rules. There was no legitimate RP escalation, warning, or opportunity for me to amend or even understand any “liability.” If there is specific documentation of repeated harm or toxicity, please present it, as stipulated in the PK rules. Otherwise, this PK is baseless, rooted in poor faction and server management (no offense, not saying this angrily, only technically just as a responsible and fair business would run with standards and policies), purely technical inheritance, and not genuine character progression or IC realism. A bona fide PK must show documentation, RP engagement, clear reason, and an opportunity for the member to be involved in the resolution or removal, none of which were given here. I would actually like to request to see proof of liability, financial debt, or text, log, or video recorded evidence by the Don or high ranking members as an attempt to contact me and inform me of necessary work or debt IC. I think it's necessary evidence on the Don's part for PK and I know that it would not exist. I've only spent 45 minutes in town in the last year or so and was just about to try to start playing again and relearn the new locations and social networks/layouts of the server now that I have a little more stability and free-time IRL. If there is any actual record of warnings, damages, or in-character misconduct, They should be presented now, as your guidelines explicitly require. Otherwise, this PK is not valid under the codified Diverge Networks PK rules—specifically for family kills, liabilities, and faction transitions—and should respectfully be overturned. (Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: Family Member Kills; Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: General PK Rules.) This is why I respectfully request that the PK be overturned. If current management or the Don had any real concerns, they should have reached out IC with a clear chance for me to learn, pay, leave, or explain—just as would be expected in any well-run, fair RP environment. As it stands, this sets the wrong example for returning or inactive players and undermines faction and RP continuity on the server (Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: Family Member Kills; Permanent Kill Reasons & Rules: General PK Rules). This also encourages dropout from a user-design perspective: I wanted to start playing the character again but given the nature of having to relearn the new map and social networks, I'm not likely to start a new character on this server (especially on a 5 year old character with a decent item bank and especially when the PK was controversial; I don't even feel like my character died in RP, just basically got uninformedly minged by a player with a little bit of faction power who I did not even know; like that would lowkey be gay AF and such a lame, unwarranted, uninformed sendoff to Jimmy Hands' lore.). Also, if witnesses exist or the crime is too public, the staff may not consider it a valid or realistic RP scenario, and it could affect appeal reviews (PK rules open to interpretation puts me in the center of a public park with like 12 people standing around). While this is open to interpretation and not inherently invalidating. There weren't even any LEOS online and I was eating noodles IRL at 3am, about to log off and go to bed. there were only like 18 people online... like come onnn -_- you and I both see that. If I legitimately died from in game actions and was aware of a situation/beef that could possibly PK me.. like that's fun and fair RP. I would not complain, and I have endured many of those attempts/threats. This seems heavily disputable and kind of mingy and confusing for the one receiving the PK (me; you can see in the video i didn't even react angrily or verbally when I got PK'd just pure confusion). You should know why when you die or at least have some ideas. This just kinda feels like a slap in the face to OG characters who have supported the server and helped foster the community in the early days who wish to re-enter town and aren't doing anything to get PK'd. They couldn't have even like picked me up, talked to me, told me i was in trouble/to prepare for death like in a cool way so that I could at least clip Jimmy-Hands' demise in execution style. This was all done wrong. I would encourage and appreciate multiple staff members to hear my reasoning and judge for themselves, perhaps to cross examine and give fair trial.

  11. Name of Faction: Myers Crime Family Number of Members (Minimum of 5): Twelve. Type Of Faction (Family, Triad, Street Gang, etc): Crime Family Ethnic Background (ex: Italian, Greek, African American, Irish, etc): German American. Name of Character running the faction: Joseph w. Myers Your Discord # (ex: gamer#4210): joeeey1 Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:179061818 Your Server playtime (UPDATED): 6 days, 5 hours, and 30 minutes Do you acknowledge and agree to all faction rules as detailed on the server rules page? (Yes/No): Yes. Do you acknowledge that your faction discord will be owned by us? (Yes/No): Yes. Provide an example of the unique Roleplay your faction will bring to the server/what type of roleplay we can expect from your faction (Images/Videos Preferred): Funerals. Our faction intends on running a funeral home as a "front" business. Our funeral home would host legitimate services for those who want to memorialize permanently killed characters. We believe this would foster truly unique roleplay experiences, especially because we wouldn't just be another faction running a restaurant or bar, etc. Other players could expect to see our faction acting as mediators between the other rival factions, brining together all types of players to honor the memory of the deceased character. Our funeral home would also give the several players who enjoy roleplaying as preachers / priests, as they could preform the funeral mass, and the rite of committal at the burial site. Provide examples or event ideas to promote activity within your faction and keep people interested. (Reference your unique RP from the question above): As stated above, our faction would host funerals at the church for players to be memorialized after being PKed. My factions staff would personally set up the viewing chapel, say a few words about the deceased, and say a prayer. We believe that hosting funerals for other factions members would allow us to foster close connections to the other factions, which could lead to deeper roleplay scenarios and close ties to other crime families. My faction hosting funeral events would promote activity and interest in our faction. Along side with hosting funerals, we would also have a side business. I would personally hold events in my faction to drive recruitment and also money making. The top performers would earn money and special awards. Organization Backstory (Min. of 250+ Words & any images): In August of 1946, Austin, the oldest sibling, and his parents immigrated to New York City from the country sides of East Germany in hopes of a better future for them and their future children; they wished to leave behind the farm lifestyle in hopes of a better life. After one year of being in the states and going through the naturalization process, they had their first child, Joseph Myers. Both children had a rough childhood. They were constantly in and out of houses, apartments, and schools because his father had struggled to keep a job. Sometimes, they didn't have food on their plates, the pair were unsure at times when they would have their next shower. The brothers never had a "normal" childhood. Most of their early years were spent working in local restaurants and newspaper stands to support the growing family. Then, when Austin and Joseph were eleven and five, unexpectedly, the mother had found out she was pregnant with a set of twins, Julian and Quaid. It was rough for the mother, she had worried that they would have to go through the same financial struggles they had to endure. From the day the twins were born, Austin and Joseph, even though being very young, had taken care of the twins and treated them with great care. As the brothers grew up, Austin had always watched out for his younger siblings. Even if it was as simple as getting a glass of water for them if they woke up thirsty. He had loved them dearly. But, as the brothers got older, their situation with money didn't get any better. They were still struggling, even more now because they had an extra two mouths to feed. As soon as the brothers were able to work, they got jobs too. They all worked tirelessly to support their family, pay the bills, put food on the table, and make sure they were able to afford their mothers medication due to the complications she endured during childbirth. When Austin had turned 14, he started running around with a disreputable group of boys his age, who would become his friends for life. They had taught him how to pickpocket, and how to shoplift. Now his main source of income was from stealing items and fencing them. He had kept it a secret from his family, knowing that they would be disappointed in him for stealing. When Austin turned 15, he dropped out of school. He had attempted to keep it a secret from his parents, but they had found out after a while. He now spent all of his time running around with his "crew" and stealing from small corner stores and pickpocketing, telling his parents that he was working at a post office and other odd jobs. As the years went on, things, of course, didn't get any better. Money only became more scarce. The family was still struggling with money, and everyone was doing their part to help out. But, as the years went on, Austin had started to get into more illegal activities, dealing drugs like cocaine and heroin. At this time, he was seventeen. He was working corners for The Carmellow Family. Austin had been introduced to the family by a friend he made in the group he was stealing with. He was making a decent amount of money, even bringing home more money than his dad sometimes. He had realized his potential in drugs, deciding to start his own drug operation. He had made a contact within the Carmellow Family, who could sell him bricks of cocaine for a good price. The only stipulation is that he owed the Carmellow Family a certain percentage of the profit he made. He had hired his friends from his childhood to run drugs for him, he knew they would be loyal, and they would never turn their backs on him. During all of this, the brothers were still working respectable jobs. The pair worked together at a local grocery store. They knew nothing about his brother's activities, Austin had kept it a secret from them because he didn't want them to follow his path into the criminal world. When the brothers turned seventeen and sixteen, Austin had a change of heart. Austin no longer wanted to see his family struggle to make ends meet for basic necessities. He asked them if they wanted an opportunity to make some real money. Of course, they took up his offer. He explained that no one could find out and the consequences they would face if they were to get caught could be life changing. Austin had given them positions within the group, making them his direct successors. After months of hard work, the business was booming, bringing home around $100,000 a month. They put their now elderly parents in an extravagant house in upstate New York, and paid off all of their debts. Everything was going great, but of course, nothing good stays forever. The Carmellow Family had accused Austin of not paying what he owed the crime family. Naturally, Austin felt as if he no longer had to keep his word on the agreement previously made with the crime family. They had placed a $35,000 hit on Austin. While the family, including the siblings parents, were out for a nice dinner to celebrate their success, a black unmarked car had pulled by the restaurant, rolled down the window and fired off an entire magazine from a suppressed MAC-10 into the restaurant window, killing four people. Most notable of the deceased was Austin. The kingpin of New York's newest and biggest drug running operation. The storm of gun fire also injured Joseph, leaving a permanent impairment in his movement. Austin had been hit three times in the chest, hitting vital organs including his heart and lungs. He had died right in front of his family, the people that he loved and cared for the most. And now, he was gone but his brothers were full of hate. Less than twenty-four hours after Austin's death, the three remaining brothers had taken over the operation. They decided to keep the business going, for Austin. The first thing they did as the head of the drug ring was order the death of Martin Carmellow, the head of The Carmellow Family, and Austin's old boss. About a week later, he was dead. He had been killed at a traffic light outside Sparks Steak House in Midtown Manhattan, for Austin. Under the brothers command, the family was doing better than ever, making around $575,000 a month, and moving around 300 Kilograms of cocaine a week. Everything was good again. They had opened up a beautiful funeral home in remembrance of Austin. Joseph, Julian, and Quaid went through the appropriate licensing processes to earn their funeral director and embalming certifications. And of course, the building was used as a front for a drug operation.

(Unless you have posted a valid LOA): Yes this would be perfectly fine Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: Not familiar but i am very keen and willing to take the time to learn Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes absolutely ------------------------------------------------- What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * A big part of my reason for wanting to join staff here is how much i enjoy the server overall and the community, this server is very unique and has got me totally invested as its strict rules and serious RP make sure the experience for its long time/new players is always enjoyable and well maintained. The key to everything previously stated is the staff that help to hold the structure together and maintain a fun and safe environment for their players. After the time ive spent here i want to be a part of helping to make sure everything runs smoothly and that the rules are followed as they are written to maintain the overall experience for players within the server. Overall i just want to open up some new opportunities for myself within the community and take part in something i haven't had the chance to experience yet and joining staff would be a fun way to explore and try something new and would allow me the opportunity to try and help others who may be joining and struggling to settle into how things work or help those that have had a bad experience with rule breakers etc. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * I feel i am in a position now where i have a very good understanding of the rules of the server and would be able to use this to help others and help to maintain structure and the experience these players have while they are playing. I also have a lot of experience as a player on this server between two factions and a variety of roles i have had while i have been with these factions and this would help me to better understand the situations that players may find themselves in and to assist them along the way which would be very beneficial for new plays or longer term players that may just not understand specific rules or situations they may encounter along the way. Overall im very committed to diverge and i spend a lot of time on the server and i feel given the opportunity to use my time to also assist people with query's and or issues they may have within the server would make better use of my time and allow me to give back to the community of players. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): I have no previous experience as i have never had a server i enjoyed enough to commit so much to but i am a quick learner and very keen Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: Ive never been banned Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: * I feel i have a good name in the city, there's no one i have direct issues with or have ever had and for the most part i feel i am liked and that i have good relations with a lot of people within the community What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: My favourite part of diverge is the community, even with the conflicts and the RP relationships that certain factions hold against each other its a very enjoyable experience and overall when it comes down to it theres alot of respect between everyone and when you need assitance or help people are always willing to do so, the overall RP and mechanics of the server are very unique and it makes Diverge stand out heavily amongst other servers. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: CPT.Caboose, okyes and Jennay ------------------------------------------------- Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I would wait a little bit to see if someone takes the ticket if one is made, if not i would take it myself and have a chat with the player in question and seek sufficient evidence, following this i would communicate with both parties and evaluate the evidence and the players history to find a suitable outcome for the situation You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would reach out to someone higher up and have a chat in regards to the activity i have noticed and seek guidance on the situation itself and try to figure out what is going on and the best way to resolve this A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: Ideally i wouldn't take this ticket as it may be seen as a conflict of interest but if the ticket remains open and hasn't been resolved i would take this ticket. I would proceed with the sit as i would any other and remain objective as possible and seek the correct resolution for the situation as server guidelines would suggest. As this is a sit for someone in my own faction i would also make my higher ups aware that i took this sit and also clip it for evidence if any allegations were made in regards to conflict of interest to show i treated the situation fairly and acted accordingly. ---------------------------------------------------------

  18. Hi! banning staff here. You were banned for initiating combat twice and killing players. https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/l2fDG3C7CZAAhxVa-?invite=cr-MSxjTUMsMTc4NDk2Nzg0&v=300 Here is one of your instances of killing people. You also left while in a confrontation. Also I highly doubt your "roommate" logged into the server. The account was created on the same day you were banned. I find this ban to be justified and your notes prior to your ban hold up to my ban reason. You shouldn't have bought a copy of Garrys Mod on an account you created and then alted to get back on the server. Your fault.

What is your motivation/reason for applying? I’ve really enjoyed my time on Diverge, especially when it comes to the roleplay experience. It’s been a fun environment that’s allowed me to explore different aspects of the server, but I feel like I’ve reached a point where I want to be more involved. I’d love to understand how things operate behind the scenes, whether it's managing day-to-day server tasks or helping with community events. By taking on a staff position, I believe I can contribute more actively to the server's growth and success. I’m excited about the opportunity to help others and ensure that the server remains a welcoming and enjoyable place for all players. Overall, it’s about pushing myself further and giving back to the community that’s already given me so much enjoyment. Why should you be considered over other candidates? I believe my reliability and calm demeanor make me a strong candidate for the role. When challenges arise, I’m able to remain level-headed and make decisions without letting emotions cloud my judgment. I take responsibility seriously and always follow through on tasks in a timely and efficient manner. One of my strengths is communication—I make sure everyone involved is on the same page. In addition, I’ve found that I’m usually available when needed, even during off-hours, which I think is a good advantage to have as a staff member. I’m genuinely committed to helping others and ensuring a positive experience for everyone, and I think that makes me stand out as someone who will add value to the team. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Where, position, how long) Yes, I have previous staffing experience as a GM/Moderator on Revenant Networks for around three months. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing gameplay, managing player disputes, and ensuring the overall smooth operation of the server. I had to handle a variety of situations, from resolving conflicts to enforcing server rules. During my time there, I became very familiar with server moderation tools, communication with both staff and players, and understanding the importance of maintaining a balanced and fair environment for everyone. The experience taught me a lot about how to manage both technical issues and interpersonal conflicts effectively, which I believe will translate well to a position on Diverge. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why? No, I have never been banned on any of Diverges servers. I’ve always made sure to respect the rules and the community guidelines, and I take pride in being a responsible player. I understand that maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere is key to a successful roleplaying experience, and I aim to always follow those principles when participating in the server. Should I ever make a mistake, I’d handle it with the utmost respect for the staff and the rules, learning from it to improve going forward. Would you say that you are well known in our community? What’s your reputation? I’d say I’m somewhat well known in the community, particularly among regular players. I’m not the type to stir up trouble, and I always try to contribute positively to the server. My reputation is one of fairness, respect, and reliability. I do my best to treat everyone with kindness and ensure that I’m approachable when others need assistance. Whether it’s helping new players understand the mechanics of the server or resolving conflicts diplomatically, I strive to be someone that others can count on. Overall, I think people see me as a positive and supportive member of the community. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far? One of my favorite moments on Diverge was when I accidentally delivered furniture to the wrong people, which turned into a hilarious and lighthearted interaction. It was one of those unexpected, “wrong place, right time” situations where everyone involved just went along with it, and we ended up creating some really fun moments. Instead of getting upset or frustrated over the mix-up, everyone embraced it, which led to a lot of laughs and some great roleplaying interactions. It was a reminder of how little things like that can really shape the experience and make the community feel more connected. Those types of moments are what make the game special and create lasting memories with others. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names. I haven’t been recommended by any staff members yet. However, I’ve worked alongside several staff members during my time on the server and have always tried to demonstrate my dedication to the community through my actions. I’m open to feedback and constantly strive to improve, so I would be more than happy to work closely with staff members to ensure I’m meeting the server’s expectations. Problem Solving Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this? If I’m off-duty, I recognize the importance of respecting the boundaries between staff and players, and would avoid intervening directly in the situation. However, I would still take the responsibility of documenting the incident properly. This means gathering any relevant evidence, such as recording the RDM or taking screenshots if needed, and then submitting a detailed ticket or report to on-duty staff. It’s important that the issue gets addressed properly, even if I’m not actively involved in it at the moment. I would also make sure to keep communication open with the team, just in case any further details are needed or clarification is required. You’ve seen a staff member of higher or equal rank abusing fairly often, but never anything too blatant. What do you do? If I were to witness a staff member, even one of a higher rank, engaging in abuse (even if subtle), I would take the situation seriously. My first step would be to document everything thoroughly, recording any instances where I’ve observed inappropriate behavior or abuse. I would then bring the matter to a higher-ranking staff member privately, sharing my findings and offering any evidence I’ve gathered. I believe in maintaining professionalism and fairness, and I’d make sure to keep things as objective as possible. It's important to approach these situations in a calm and respectful manner, keeping in mind the long-term health of the community. A friend/faction mate has a ticket against them for RDM and minging. You know they rarely do this. How do you proceed, and is there potential bias? In this situation, I would be conscious of my potential bias, given that the person involved is a friend. It’s crucial that I treat the situation fairly and impartially, so I would either pass the ticket to another staff member to avoid any conflict of interest or handle it as objectively as possible. I would focus solely on the evidence and follow the server’s rules, just as I would for any other player. If it turns out that the ticket is indeed legitimate, I’d make sure to treat my friend the same way as any other player, as it’s essential to uphold the same standards for everyone. Transparency and fairness are key in maintaining the integrity of the staff team and the server as a whole.

  29. You calling me unemployed helps your situation how? Also I know a dude who's employed in the game who spent like 7-8 hours yesterday on this same game. You act like every job is a 7 day a week job and your slaving away 9+ hours of your day making big bucks. No? Thats not how it works. We are inherently human and as such need to unwind and relax at times. Your naive view of the situation reveals your maturity levels and they aren't very high.

Feel free to open that report if you see fit, I am sorry you are unhappy with my responses

  35. Hi - As a final response: Your PTSD RP was invalid, and not a reason to begin conflict with the police - which you did by spraying bullets and hitting them numerous times. It also wouldn't have helped you IC-ly with your court case. The decision to ban you and treat this as a rule break was mine, not the players. They did not report you for RDM or Cop Baiting, but with the information provided via logs, clips and testimonies that is the outcome I deduced. I tried to have more productive communication with you, but you were more interested in telling me about how you would be making a staff report with your 10 friends if I punish you. When you are unbanned, I hope you will not insist on 'roleplaying' in the same way. Thankyou for sharing your perspective

  36. Hi, I'm the staff member who handled this ban - Firstly, I'm sorry you feel your ban was unjust, and I'm hoping I can make it more clear as to why I had ruled this way. NITRP: In terms of this clause of your ban, your PTSD roleplay is something you are welcome to build into your character, in terms of casual roleplay moments such as speech, mannerisms, and talking points, I think it could provide a really interesting character for others to interact with. The reason this fell short for you, is due to 1. your lack of truly bringing that character into your interactions with others, and 2. due to it only really existing to justify your shootouts with the police. The 4 officers who I dealt with had individually reported you over a course of time for PK tickets, but due to the time these weren't able to be handled. Every time you were hospitalized (killed) you would return again and engage in the exact same behavior, but none of these other players were aware or supportive of your PTSD roleplay as a reason to be shooting them. This leads me to look at character rules 11 and 12, as well as how your gameplay is preventing these other players from achieving the RP they are looking for when they play PD. When I eventually took the ticket "I have a question for staff" (Or similar) and they explained the situation, I felt it was the correct course of action to follow up rather than let this cycle continue, and leave a sizeable group of players unable to enjoy the server. 11. You may not have a minge/non-serious character for 'messing around' 12. You may not have a character for the express purpose of mugging/raiding RDM & Cop Bait: If you were to read through the Killing Rules again (which can be found alongside plenty of other server rules on the link provided) there are a few clauses that go against your killing reason. 15. In the same vein there are still times when you can't shoot police and it would be considered RDM. You may not KOS Police for no reason. 18. Generally you shouldn't invite conflict then try to hide behind the rules when you're killed. This can also be considered baiting as described under killing rule 6. Intentionally instigating someone or goad them into breaking a rule. There are no rules or mentions in the Killing Rules that support PTSD as a reason to engage in conflict with the police, especially without any prior interaction or RP, even with your characters past in the PD whitelist. Hopefully that highlights the key reasons why I decided on your ban!

  37. Hi, I am the person who banned you. When I brought you to your first SIT, I made it stupidly clear that if you do these actions again you will be banned. Then not 5 minutes later you do it again. You RDMed 3 people in the red car and two others on a bike. Its clear that you do not want to RP because the entire night you were terrorizing people with props. I am not going to recommend a successful appeal on your original ban, but the issue stands that you tried to ALT back onto the server for whichever reason you claim.
