What is your motivation/reason for applying?: After being in this server for as long as I have been I have never not thought trying out for staff. I think after seeing other staff members operate that I could give it my best shot, do my best and give something new a try. I've also realized that becoming staff looks and sounds quite fun, So why not? Why should you be considered over other candidates?: *I feel as if I have a lot of experience in the more popular rules like minge rules, mugging rules etc. Another reason is because I am able to put in a lot of time and effort into becoming a staff member and also give good advice on the rules and what to do next time. For my final reason on why I think I should be considered over other staff members is because of how I really have no bias toward anyone, If you break a rule you break a rule, and there is nothing more to it. This would allow us to check our activity, know the exact # of people on our whitelist, and unwhitelist people without staff. Allowing the FL to go through and unwhitelist people who haven’t played in many months would also cut down on old players coming back to abuse rackets. Most factions (unless you have someone frequently clean your WL) have 500+ people on their whitelist. I personally know that I have people from 2024 still on my whitelist.

What is your motivation/reason for applying?: Mainly, I’m looking to be a more active member of the community and get to know more people outside of my current circles through positive interactions. I came back a few months ago after a multiple year break and realised how much I still genuinely enjoy Diverge. I’d like to be able to give back to the community that’s given me so much enjoyment over the years, and I thought there wasn’t really a better way than becoming a staff member. I’ve always enjoyed trying new things, and after having a lot of different kinds of roleplay on the server, I think applying for staff would be a great way to gain insights into how the server runs on a more technical, rules oriented level. Also, because I’m in Ireland, I often play during low pop hours, when there are fewer staff on, and I’d like to make sure that players during those hours are also having a good experience. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I am a very level-headed person, especially during stressful scenarios. People can get really riled up during staff sits, which is understandable, they’re long, interrupt your time on the server, and often don’t end up exactly the way you hope. Being able to remain calm in those scenarios is a great skill to have. I’d also consider myself pretty good at understanding biases that I may hold. Obviously, in an ideal world, I’d take tickets exclusively from people I don’t know, but there will be times when I’m the only staff member available to take a ticket from someone I know. In those situations, I’m good at grounding myself and looking at it from an objective viewpoint. I have a good grasp of the rules after playing for so long, and I would (obviously, with help) like to learn more about how specific rules of the server work. I try to make conversation with people a lot and love meeting new people on Diverge. There are some places that I wouldn’t be too well known simply because I don’t get the chance to be around them often. I think my reputation would generally be a positive one. I always try to be fair in any interactions I have with people. I keep in mind the rules on the server and don’t have notes for random negative interactions with people. I’d like to think that most other people whom I regularly interact with look on me favourably! I’d like to use my position in staff to get to know more people and get a better idea of how the community feels on certain issues What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: There are so many great moments, it’s genuinely hard to choose. I’m a sucker for early Diverge, Made meetings in Le Grande, using my townhouse for PKs well before the forensics system and roleplaying them out to try and give the police something to do, the Cartel War, where there were so many hackers it felt like every other clip was someone accusing someone else of cheating. Obviously, I can’t forget the early political roleplay, with the honestly really interesting Weber for Mayor Campaign. Recently, however, I would have to say seeing the new PK systems and the new breadth of investigation RP has been fascinating. I will say I miss the old PK messages, for me they really helped flesh out the city. But seeing police actually be able to prosecute people for sloppy hits as opposed to the old system where it was nigh impossible unless you did it in broad daylight. If I were the one being RDM’d, I couldn’t take the ticket since it would be a conflict of interest. If there was an RDM ticket and there were other staff online, currently on duty, I would wait to see if any of them were going to take the ticket. If the ticket isn’t taken in a reasonable amount of time, I would go on duty to take the RDM ticket and handle the situation. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?:In any scenario like that, I would try to document as much of the abuse that I’ve seen as possible. Then I would take it up to whoever would deal with this (probably a Super Admin+). I’d do my best throughout the process to make sure any evidence I collect is clear and understandable. This person is someone that I would have direct ties to, and my unconscious bias would most likely have a bearing on the decision that is made. If possible, I would ask if another staff member would be able to take the ticket. If no one else is available at that moment, I would take the ticket and do it in the most by the books way possible, only working off of clips, logs, and both players' context of the situation. What server rule or PK rule was violated?: Staff Pk'd me despite the fact I met multiple guidelines and the char who killed me was not pushing for a PK. Staff initiated a pk over self report. I'm begging and pleading that my char is returned as the guy who mugged me was banned previously for having a mug char. It does not feel fair that a char of 10 weeks and middle faction management be thrown away for nothing. It doesn't make sense from multiple points. 1. Staff initiates Pk on behalf of someone who did not request it 2. Staff awards the mug/minge char that is less than 10 days old and has previously been warned about mugging 3. The PK is initialed off of a fail mug over the fact the mugger was saying drop 5k or die 4. It's so hard to do pk's an regulate the constant mug minges but it's impossible to go it the real way and contribute honest roleplay only to be killed by a minge. Make it make sense bro. Why can muggers just kill but we can't kill muggers. 5. I did not have 5k even if I had gone along with the attempt It would have been impossible to meet demands and still would have been killed. 6. In the mugging attempt I was able to get out of sight of the individual and in 2 separate green zones have a firearm and reach the safety of more than one known friend and be in front of 2 Separate NPCs and an ATM. I’ve been thinking about how some current mechanics could lead into deeper criminal gameplay if they were expanded a bit. Right now we can lockpick vehicles, but realistically the only thing people do with stolen cars is drive them around for a bit and then ditch them. It feels like the mechanic is there but it doesn’t really lead anywhere. Since vehicles can already have premium tracking, once a car is reported stolen the police automatically get the vehicle description and location. That part works well because it creates a reason for police to respond. The problem is criminals don’t really have a next step besides abandoning the car. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vehicle Theft → Tracker Removal → Chop Shops One idea would be allowing stolen vehicles to be brought to hidden mechanic spots or illegal garages where players can attempt to remove the GPS tracker. The removal could take some time, meaning the car's still traceable while criminals are working on it, giving police a chance to intercept. If the tracker is removed successfully, the vehicle could then be taken to a chop shop. At the chop shop, players could dismantle the car and receive things like: scrap materials illegal vehicle parts a payout depending on the vehicle This would turn vehicle theft into an actual criminal loop instead of just a temporary joyride. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Black Market Buyers Stolen goods could then be sold through black markets buyers. These could be NPC buyers that appear in rotating locations around the map and purchase things like: vehicle parts stolen electronics jewelry contraband Because the location moves, criminals would have to transport the goods across the city instead of selling everything in one place. This also gives police opportunities for surveillance, stakeouts, or interceptions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cargo Truck Robberies Another idea that could fit well would be cargo truck robberies. Delivery trucks moving goods across the city could be intercepted by factions. Players would need to: hijack the truck secure the cargo transport it somewhere else to sell Police could receive alerts like cargo theft in progress or hijacked delivery vehicle, which would create moving situations instead of static robberies. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- High Value Transport Robberies A similar system could work with armored vans or jewelry shipments traveling between locations. Factions could attempt to intercept the transport while police respond to protect it. For example: steal vehicle → remove tracker → chop car for parts → sell parts to black market buyer or intercept cargo truck → steal goods → transport them somewhere else → sell through the black market This kind of system would encourage planning, teamwork, and longer RP chains, while also giving law enforcement more situations to investigate and respond to.

I prop flipped multiple cars one night, on a sort of rampage. A mass car flip incident. At the time it didn’t matter much to me that I’ve lost them, I was so busy with life I simply couldn’t be bothered by losing my prop gun. However one night I decide to play the server and went to my ghetto apartment, only to find an empty space that I could no longer make my HOME. An overwhelming wave of sadness washed over me as I stared at this empty room. I am proud of my interior design skills. My ghetto apartments are truly a great area for all players to enjoy. A tsunami of grief washed me away when I realized I could no longer set up my hood drank stand independently. PLEASE FORGIVE ME STAFF TEAM. This was my third one which sent me down to probationary for 3 weeks, then I was getting chased from other officers to put on a probationary vest which then I proceeded to fire shots in the air to make them back off, I was then arrested and charged when I was in the cells my colleague Mike Stevens (blobbis22) came into the cells and I told him he should uncuff me and we should take the lawyer hostage as a rp scenario I then asked multiple people if I’d get banned for this even a moderator (Crimson) and they all said no and we would probably just get pked which was fine with us so we carried out with our rp mike even said in chat if they open the door we would kill the hostage and then the officers opened the door and opened fire I would provide the necessary clip but I’m at work currently however after they opened fire we both returned fire but ultimately were overpowered and then when we were in pd basement after respawning they all ran down and arrested us and we were both handed 105 year sentences and we ultimately accepted them resulting the pk of our characters, We were completely fine with this and I ended up going to bed and waking up to see I was banned for 2 weeks. Hello, I would like to start this ban appeal off with my perspective of my roleplay. As far as I have been informed by both the banning staff member and other individuals I have spoken to, the behavior that led to my ban were my statements within the underground advertisement and my issues with mugging. To address my underground advertisement behavior, all I can simply state is that the words said in underground advertisement's do not reflect my character's roleplay. I am man enough to admit that the things I say in the underground advertisements are REALLY, REALLY stupid. Many times, I post before I think about what I really say and, if unbanned, I can promise to improve upon that. Secondly, in accordance to my previous offenses and my "mugging character", my previous permanent ban (unbanned in January 2026) was due to a PD raid, which I apologized deeply for and realize what an idiotic mistake it was. Upon being banned, the individual who banned me claimed that I was "excessively mugging", and also pointed out that in my previous ban appeal, I promised not to mug. In my ban appeal, I stated that I would stop minging, harrassing people, and mugging people. While I can admit that I have mugged while unbanned, I have gone through a great effort to dial back my muggings, along with ensuring that all muggings adhere to all roleplay standards. I would also like to mention that this was all on my main character I've had for years and have followed all the mugging rules to a tea. It is also important to mention that this character has a lot of value, discrediting the idea that I am a mugging character. Subsequently, as mentioned, I have greatly improved my roleplay standards since my previous ban. In my current faction, I have not only created several roleplay situations with friends and other individuals, but I have greatly enhanced my presence in my faction through recruitment. If so, why?: Yes, I have been banned 3 times in the past, the most recent was a Prop Abuse and NITRP ban for 3 days on 12/6/26 by Alamara555. At that time, I was thinking on quitting the server and not coming back, but during the ban I rekindled some relationships with people who play and eventually came back to playing full time. I regret doing it because it is a pointless stain on my record. The ban before that was on 7/22/25 for 12 hours, NITRP, Minge, and Cop Bait by Dr.Hax. I received the ban on a former oil character of mine named Johnny Ballbouncer, I was hanging out with a group of friends and was in the passenger seat of a vehicle that was constantly baiting cops and just causing tons of issues. I learned to be more considerate to the other players who don't find this type of thing funny and learned to be more serious overall. My ban I received longest ago was on 3/31/25 for Mass VDM by Actual Sauerkraut for a day. This ban was definitely one of the worst ones on my record. This ban took place shortly after I got pked from my first faction after coming back from not playing for two years, was still pretty fresh and just acting dumb in general. I believe I have 3 notes, but I do not remember what for. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I do not think I am that well known, some people may know me for my cop char or my former oil char Johnny Ballbouncer. But if needed to I would treat it like any other ticket and remain unbiased as that is my job and duties as a staff member. I would gather the info either clip or anything else and listen to both sides to get a clear judgement of the situation. Personal relationships should cloud a staff member's judgement and I stand on that. If I do feel that my relationship with the player could create bias, the best option is to just let another staff member handle it.

Honestly, Hans, I have no personal problem with you, but the ONLY "Roleplay" I have seen from you is sitting at the garrison for hours at a time and then going out and mugging 5 people a night, at least thats how its been conveyed to me and what I've seen through various clips. Just because you use this character for roleplay SOMETIMES doesnt mean its not a mugging character when in 6 separate staff members opinions (who this was discussed between) your express purpose on the server is mugging.

+1 I know a lot of people have not met Hans in game but as someone who did not know him before his original perm ban I can say that Hans is one of the most active taka mains I have seen. Yes he mugs a lot but the ban makes absolute no sense, mugging char would imply all he does is mug on that char and provides no RP. However this dude is one of the best hirers I have seen and one of the best role-players in taka. Every time I have seen him in game he will be running the garrison. unban this guy he does not deserve this.

Public Defender that got restrained here. I believe that mass RDM was not broken, as the start of the gunfire was initiated by the police officers. In addition, the officers that kidnapped me did not initially kill me. With that in mind, I do believe that they had the intentions to RP with me as the "kidnappee". If they had MRDM in mind, I would've already been dead. Given that they're already blacklisted from PD, a 2 week ban, in my opinion, is not worthy for the things they did. They were intending to roleplay, and they got PK'ed for it.
