So I'm not really too sure what Crew Deal Discord I was apart of and participating in as a Don but my best guess is this has something to do with this Stand I saw yesterday walking around. Up by the Casino ATM I saw a guy with a stand up called the Eastern Stock Exchange, now I've been seeing and hearing about these stock exchanges popping up so I decided to look into it a bit further. On top of this guys stand was a sign with a brief description of what the Eastern Stock Exchange was and a discord link to their Exchange discord, while I had no intentions of actually risking my money by buying into it, I thought back of the JGN stock exchange and I thought it was the same kinda deal so I joined it to see what was up. Once joining the discord I was given some role, maybe called "Business Man" or something I'm not really sure tbh, but even with this role I could not see any text in any chat. Once seeing that I couldn't see anything in it, I simply forgot about it. I feel it's worth mentioning that me myself never typed or used this discord for any business/financial gain, nor did I spread the discord to others. Looking back on it like yeah I should've looked and seen that there was no UA/Management in it and it was a not legit server and also remembered that Commerce businesses aren't allowed to create their own discord as they're supposed to make a commerce thread. Hello! So, as already explained by Calink your PK was the result of a VCWP. You decided to shoot a cop, tried to run in that same moment, and failed miserably before being killed for your own actions. Let us go through why it will be standing as is. You bring up Howie's Pk appeal which I also reviewed. If you think your two situations are remotely similar you are delusional. He didn't kill a cop. He shot one when missing someone else, immediately put his weapon away and was attempting to apologize when he was executed by a probie. You executed a cop then were killed while trying to flee the scene in the same interaction. You keep bringing up this argument of "Oh the situation was over". No, it wasn't. You had just shot and killed an officer triggering your PK active time. In that same moment that you try to drive away the killing officer shoots you. You still attempt to flee instead of deescalate the situation at which point you wreck and then the officer finishes the violent confrontation. Just because you turn around doesn't mean you void the confrontation that just happened and does not void your PK active timer. You killed a cop and then failed to flee and died as a result of it. If it was a situation that did not directly affect me then I would take the ticket as a last resort. What do you do?: Get any evidence that I can gather whether it be screen shots, recordings, or statements, and send it to upper administration. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: When dealing with situations, there is no room for bias. To ensure that someone does not get the wrong image of the situation, I would ask for someone not in my faction to take the situation however just as previously mentioned, if I did not witness it and can play devil's advocate, I would check logs to see who first issued damage, I would ask the reporting individual if there is any evidence that they have, and if not I would release both parties while still remaining on duty and watching from afar while cloaked to see if it is reoccurring.

Reminder for those replying. As for the bans, not only yours but the other involved, glad to clear it up since people seem to be spreading misinformation as to why they were banned and what exactly took place. There seems to be some prevailing narrative that it was a 'friend server' or 'a stock exchange market' and that people were unfairly banned, or banned even though they never typed a message. This was the entire server, a server very specifically created and dedicated to circumventing the gameplay loop and the very well established discord and metagame rules. A discord that is outside the permitted discords list which is being used to organize deals which should be done in-game does constitute a rulebreak even if the user had no messages in the discord they still are very clearly involved and intend to use it for purposes outside what is permitted. This was populated by players who have hundreds of hours in-game and definitely know better, so all things considered the bans are not exactly unreasonable or insane and if anything serve as a reminder that yes the rules matter and yes your decisions matter, if there's an active rulebreak occurring you should be reporting it instead of silently benefitting from your involvement. What is the takeaway here? Any and all discords that exist for the express purpose of diverge related activities, communication, trading, etc are not permitted only the official faction discords are approved, you risk being punished for being involved with metagame. Can a friend discord get you banned? No, hanging out in a separate discord with your friends that is in no way shape or form related to Diverge will not get you banned. Of course if you use that friend discord to then metagame or trade for Diverge related purposes you do open yourself up to administrative action.

I would like to help this out because I'm usually up during these hours where staff lay dormant when everybody is in need of one, I have been a very massive supporter of Diverge and would like to help out the community in another, larger way. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I'm 100% active, almost every day and on at critical hours where nobody can get a staff member. Does it constitute possible bias?: I would have another staff take the ticket to avoid any bias in its entirety, but if there is no other staff present then I would take the ticket and must treat them the same as I would any other person on the server, despite being my friend or faction member they would get no special treatment. Hello! As already stated by Winchester you were killed for initiating a VCWP with police and that will be standing but let's get into the whj and your arguments against it. First, you state that because one officer is breaking NLR then it is all invalidated which is simply not true. He did not have the other officers respond, he didn't initiate the first contact with you after returning to the area. You began that interaction with him when you decided to RDM an officer that was allowing you to leave the area. When you start another VCWP with multiple officers around you brought that on yourself. Stop trying to push that blame to others when you made that decision and got clapped for it. Second, you want to argue the NLR break which as already stated is minor in light of your actions. You RDM'd an officer after breaking character to distract him so you could kill him. You pulled a bitch move and got bitched for it by another officer not involved in the NLR situation.
