Maybe have victims pay an insurance fee to get their vehicles back with a cooldown so it doesn’t end up costing people millions and fucking up the game balance. I think that would be more than fair to add to a system like this. Otherwise, permanent loss would just not be cool. Would become a minge activity rather than contribute to proper criminal RP.

Because this isnt about extorting factions but legal businesses "within your territory" Its also meant to be a unique form of a money maker for new players not faction HC to change up the monotonous shipment grind. Would be sick if you could steal someones custom ass lambo for quick cash at a npc a few grand here and there i can see that being awesome as fuck could see a little effect on the economy unless it pays out way less but still it could be balanced.

Why not just do it to a actual faction? extortion is a real thing especially to newer factions, NPC's nah that's dumb as fuck and would be aids to code into gmod.

So I have not looked in GMOD shop or workshop content but this is an idea stolen directly from one of my favorite video games as a child. The Godfather. In the attached clip is an example of the extortion mechanic which was a primary money making and territory expansion gameplay loop. It was fun, repeatable, and I think if could be done (would likely be a lot of development unless us as a community can find a similar system that exists) would be a great early game criminal money maker that isnt as stupid as fraudulent checks and boring as endless shipment grinding. I think it could reinforce the territory system the alliances are attempting to convey by connectign core NPC's to faction alliances that people in those factions could extort. Push too hard? they call the cops. Push too little? They fight back or refuse to pay. Each NPC could have a random amount of dialogue or push to them(such as punching or threatening) that works. Could add immersive RP by doing it with multiple people of your faction all talking to the NPC to increase payouts and success chances. Most NPC's are OOC such as selling drugs to a dealer, with these NPCs if someone on the Cop WL walks by in their radius it could instantly alert them. (risk vs reward) Just spitballing what do yall think?

I like the idea somewhat. I thought something like this was coming when the illegal plates dropped but then that ended up just being for swapping YOUR OWN plates temporarily to go do hood rat shit with my friends so I’m not sure. It would require a serious balancing act and the idea of a player permanently losing their car over lock pick minges doesn’t sit right considering the amount of money that can go into buying and upgrading some of these cars but… some system like this just to increase RP maybe if it doesn’t have permanent consequences for the victim could be dope. I’m sure they’ve been workshopping it.

This is a schizophrenic meltdown mixed with false perceptions of persecution surrounding sexual lifestyle choices We have many individuals with alternative sexual lifestyles on diverge, most face no harassment or, in your case, randomized one time mentions or jokes about it. You yourself are just generally an unlikable character, and when people dont like you, they pick what you would be most upset about. In every case of alternative lifestyles, it is the alternative lifestyle. Firstly I would like to start off by apologising for my wrongdoings, especially for trying to ban evade twice. It was clearly wrong of me to attempt these things and i fully regret doing so. It all started with me getting banned for mass VDM, which is understandable. I do not remember how long the initial ban period before the alting took place was but im guessing it was about a month. Also before continuing I would like to clarify that this was over 2 years ago and I took this time to reread the rules and will fully change my future behavior on this server, if this gets accepted of course. So after the VDM ban i decided a few days later to try to access the server on another account, being partially unaware of the rules, which ofc isnt a good excuse. I remember liking this server at that time and didnt want to wait out a month to play again because im pretty sure i had some weeks off school and wanted to use that time to play here since i wouldnt have much time after the holiday ended. Anyways, I entered on the alt and obviously got perma banned. I initially wanted to appeal but decided that it wasnt worth it at that time and that it would take long to get reviewed, so i dropped that idea. Then, a month later, i hopped on another account i had and started playing some games on it, one of those games was gmod. A month had passed so i forgot the servers name and was trying to find new servers for fun. Little did i know that one of the servers i tried entering, i was already perma banned from. After seeing the ban screen i remembered it was this server but i chose to ignore it and find other servers since i didnt really care at that time about getting an unban. Now, 2 and a half years later im deciding to potentially return and start fresh, having acknowledged my mistakes which i will try my hardest not to repeat if i get let back in. Boyfriend was an idiot using the same VPN for his main account he used for the alt. He got us smoked due to his incompetence. And I had told him what the consequences would be yet he did not care much. So I had little reason to care; as you can see two messages above this, there is literally the reason the ban will be kept. I am hated; my rep is dog crap because people can't separate IC from OOC or OOC from IC, and literally live in that game as their egos and shit. Crazy. Does the car get removed from your spawner or would this just be abuseable? like if I steal a car sell it and see the same car again can i just take it again? maybe that part is a bit dumb but if there was a 12-24hr cooldown and it only gave around 15k and under itd be fair if not people will abuse it and see cars over and over to be rich

Tbh I'd like some more options to make some quick cash as a criminal and I'd love for corrupt cops to play more roles within the server so here are a few things I'd personally love to see Criminal quick cash method - Chop shop Either a chop shop or even a stolen car export place could be really cool for our favourite criminal faction (Citizens of new york) and others to make some easy cash, I think a few pre-requisits should be followed instead of just a quick one and done though for balancing (Can't make money TOO fast in diverge and without risk) First, of course, the car can only be sold if you do NOT have the other persons F3, this would be to prevent people from just chopping their friends car and making free money. Second, The car should be reported stolen. This one may not be the best pre-requisite but I think it would add more risk to you stealing someone's car. Third, There should be a timer that goes off from when you steal the vehicle to when you sell it, something short like maybe 3 minutes, but this gives the cops SOME time to look for you. Fourth. Selling the car should also have a short timer, mainly for balancing reasons, RP reason could be that you're loading the car into a container or a car smasher, I think this could be done through the C menu when looking at the car. Fifth. You can only sell cars you lockpick into. I feel like this one may ruffle some feathers, but picklocks cost money, I don't think a minge should have the ability to yoink a car someone forgot to unlock, go for a joyride then sell it off. Sixth. Payment should decreased based on the damage to the car, like if its red engine with 2 tires missing, they should only give you like a crisp 20 dollar bill and tell you to fuck off, when a car thats in pristine condition should be rewarded with a higher % of the cars value at the car shop (Custom cars would kinda be busted in this.) Now, for corrupt cop RP I think there should be some sort of flag that corrupt cops receive (Since its all UA approved anyways) which would give them access to more criminal related NPC's (Such as the sewer NPC but not the drug NPC's) This flag would also be used to obtain a false uniform which could be used by criminal organizations to do PK's or gain access to otherwise restricted area's (Gov mansion?) For the uniform, I think it should be a traded item like the ballistic vest, but the items need to be obtained by the criminal organization and given to the corrupt cop who must obtain the uniform himself and give it back to the criminal org. (This server IS about trading items after all) And would give access to whoever wears it a temporary disguise to do his dirty business in.
