While our hierarchy is based on La Cosa Nostra, this isn't just some 'Mafia' faction. We aim to correctly portray an authentic, tight-knit group of hard working Italian American's who decided to join this life out of need, not want. Our faction is built around a small family from New Jersey, not New York and especially not Sicily. We're not glorifying the 'Mafia' or the 'Old Country' or by using exaggerated tropes. We're directly roleplaying second- and third generation Italian-Americans, sons of construction workers, delimen, and union guys who grew up together, bonded primarily by neighborhood loyalty, and slowly becoming part of something larger then the race themselves. This is a family, where people go to church, eat dinner together on Sundays, and call each others mothers 'ma'. That sense of family and tradition of Italian-American's trying to become more 'American' through trial and error. We're devoutly committed to cultural and community rp, as I said earlier, not just criminal RP. One of our long-term goals is to involve the small businesses or organizations made by players in our roleplay, such as Construction companies that can shut down area's for construction through RP, painting companies, and the Italian American Civil Rights League, creating interactions with local leaders in New York and the regional government. This allows us to emphasize more on themes that are often forgotten about, such as ethnic identity, police harassment, and pride, while directly giving the faction more depth and legitimacy. We're not here to dominate South Side or start wars, directly or indirectly. At it's heart again, the DeCavalcante faction is about family, in every sense of that word. And we're ready to put in the time, discipline, and effort to make that something truly valuable for the server. - (Next question for easier reading) Provide examples or event ideas to promote activity within your faction and keep people interested. (Reference your unique RP from the question above): Recruitment wise, we'd don't want to immediately make people an associate and have it be something that is earned over a small period of time. Being a hangaround for some time, doing small tasks like being a body guard for someone, driving affiliated members around, transporting items we need, and even buying things we need, before finally getting associated with our family. Structure wise, we completely adhere to the traditional mafia hierarchy, but we treat every rank with realistic responsibility and weight. Promotions are based solely on IC merit, devout loyalty, and character development. We're not nepotistic, giving out ranks to every single one of our friends. Everything is earned ICly, and absolutely nothing is rushed. We're committed to long-term characters, realistic progression, and in-depth politics. Our main goal, regardless of how much we're able to effect this, is to bring back serious RP. That means the basic's like /me commands, long form dialogue, and completely immersive interactions and scenarios that create tension, consequence, and atmosphere. We fully encourage our faction members and other people outside of the faction to portray believable characters, not invincible killers and street soldiers, but flawed, addicted, human individuals going through a challenging life. We stay in-character at all times and hold our members to strict high rp standards. Plenty of cultural RP, remember we're portraying Italian-American men, not criminals (allegedly). Guys it’s not poaching, she was not in any of the diverge servers. Its not like she knew they were active players on diverge, because she couldn’t see them in the diverge discord server that she purposely left to try and NOT poach people. Just because I dropped a bombed on a country doesn’t mean I killed thousands of people; because I wasn’t even in the country.

It’s funny you mention “rambling,” yet you’re here giving your unsolicited opinion on a ban appeal from someone you don’t even know, just to stir the pot. That kind of behavior speaks for itself. It's toxic garrys mod mob larper mentality lmfao I DMed you because, again, I genuinely had no idea who you were, and suddenly you’re all over my appeal running your mouth. That’s textbook trolling. But hey, I’m not expecting much from someone deep into the mafia RP scene on GMod... but let’s be real. And let’s not twist things... me sending a DM doesn’t somehow mean I haven’t matured. If anything, I tried to speak directly rather than go back and forth publicly. It’s just wild how seriously some of you take this game, while acting like I’m the one being immature. Okay, regardless, this whole thing happened because someone called 911 for "prop surfing" an issue that should've been brought to an admin's attention, not the police. A ticket should've been made about it not a 911 call. Prop surfing is against server rules not the rp law, so it was out of rp for everything else that happened.

Wow so looking at these replies. First off, I want to clear the air... I’m not trying to be dishonest or exaggerate anything. I genuinely hadn’t played GMod in years and didn’t even remember the exact timeline or ban reason until I tried reconnecting recently. If I made an alt in the past, I won’t deny it... it was probably just a dumb move on my part at the time trying to get back in without thinking things through properly. That's gaming communities... It happens, especially for all the randoms replying to this ban appeal.. they probably have plenty of alts on Garrys Mod as well. That said, I fully understand how that looks now and I take accountability for it. I was younger and clearly not making the smartest decisions. I’m not here to make excuses... just genuinely asking for another shot to come back and be part of the server the right way this time. I’m not trying to cause problems or waste anyone’s time. I just want to get back into roleplay and contribute positively if given the chance. Whatever the decision is, I respect it. I just find it alittle funny how these randoms who have no idea who I am or what's going on decide to run their mouths on my appeal when they don't even know the situation fully either. With that out of the way, I do find it a bit odd that people who don’t know me or the situation personally felt the need to jump in just to talk down on my ban appeal. Kinda sounds toxic lmfao as usual not expecting much less from Garrys Mod. I am sorta involved, this guy wasn’t using the Cassanos racket he was using Bonannos gun racket with one of our associates that has permission to sell guns. There would be no heat going to the Cassanos if anything it would be Bonannos that would be getting the heat.

What’s the point of the button being there if it doesn’t work, I know I can search it in there but it would be 10x easier to quickly look before I waste my time to go into the court and search him up.
