Hello, I truly understand your response but my faction really wants to signal and try to convert people to the idea of community and brotherhood rather than individualism. In comparison, you also said low playtime, I have enough to understand the game and I know the rules and how to operate. I said low-violence because we won't be messing with anyone just how the Popov's said their claim and also I find it quite absurd how you say just because we don't operate on killing that we won't retaliate. If you read up there I clearly state, "As Patels, we believe in brotherhood and will die for any one of our trusted members. We believe in true authenticity and building trust with one another. Therefore, if you betray our trust we will not be as patient and will not take this lightly" and in other sections too. Also, just like any faction, I will offer 10-20k for 30 minutes of security. It will operate the starting process just how any faction would. Finally, on the bullet where you said "awful indian accent," I think that claim is false because just like any other faction, there would obviously be banter and stereotypes for example, the Jews and their "penny pinching, long nose, and snotty behaviour" or also the Irish and their "a bota o wata." I personally don't believe any of your points are valid besides the backstory which I can argue that we are refugees from the political violence happening at the time. -1 All in all, I think this would run a lot better as a civilian faction rather than randomly adding a crime aspect to it. PRO - Diverse ethnicity CON - Backstory leaves a lot to be desired. Lots of 'this happened' but not enough 'why' - Low playtime. - RP ideas are stale. Don't really see anything new in terms of RP ideas. When it boils down to it, you plan on running a shop. - Your whole faction idea doesn't make sense to me. You're 'low-violence'? to me that just reads like you're going to get bullied by everyone because you won't retaliate. IMO, you may be better creating this faction as a civilian faction and becoming Indian oil barons. - It would be great to see someone successfully run 'IOU's / Loans' but in my experience it doesn't really work. What do you have in place to stop people creating new characters, rocking up and asking for 20k and then them blowing it and getting PK'd by police? - I can honestly see this very quickly becoming a minge faction where people join to use an awful indian accent.

The Patel Family will be highly significant because they know that the real power of roleplay comes from developing trust, spending time roleplaying, and being a part of the roleplaying community rather than from forced participation. They maintain the roleplay environment by acting out cultural authenticity, legitimate occupations, and non-conflict situations Applying favors, establishing connections, or offering places like the 7/12 are additional ways to exert influence without being overly strong, in my opinion. But it doesn't mean that I would join this group, just an opinion of my own

Former staff member should understand why you don't do that in-game and why the existing methods of reporting a user either over forums (staff report) or #support ticket exists. Having for months on end people bring us bits and pieces of a story / information / images / clips and expecting something to be done without a more concise and clear proof of wrong doing doesn't lend itself to make public sweeping accusations or assumptions. Pendred has spoken on this before. Bans for OOC in IC are not unheard of, in this context a shorter ban was likely more appropriate. Your ban appeal has been reviewed and accepted. The ban will be reduced to 1 hour.

Hi, The server was experiencing a huge influx of OOC in IC rulebreaks, with numerous staff announcements made that the punishment for doing so would continue to increase. It was made aware to the players of the server that the next punishment after the 30 minute mutes would likely be a worse punishment. When you decided to then post an OOC in IC advertisement, a deliberate choice to spread it to the widest possible playerbase, I was told to issue a ban. The ban length was determined by myself with some advice from other staff members. Whilst in the sit you asked "What can you actually do about it" - I assume because you believed you could get away with a mute and feel no real consequence for your actions. At the end of the day you knowingly broke the rules of the server, using OOC in an IC channel to harass a staff member and you were confident you would not be punished duly. There is no specific guidance on what is and isn't a suitable punishment, but I had sought advice and was recommended to issue the ban. I believe the ban is justified and your actions in the forums and server discord further highlight your lack of remorse, understanding or care about your actions. I believe Pendred has said enough on the other aspects of this case and I will not need to repeat what he has said to everyone in here. Good luck on your appeal

No, you're absolutely right - metagaming is an inherent issue that cannot really be fixed and relies on an honour system which is often abused. And by me saying "if there's a way around it without removing it" - removing faction name and number count I think would be the main thing and I agree to it; but the new tab replacement should have to be well designed but how is the question lol cos it'l just be a huge mess of like 115 players all under one tab (except cops) - but... thinking about it, playing the game with a "fog of war" type thing (no tab menu) might be interesting and more immersive.

No.... I don't think you actually do know how to abide by the rules, hence why we're quite literally on a ban appeal. Your previous offenses kind of speak for themselves at this point where only at your second ban you receive a permanent ban. After being banned FOUR times in one month in 2024, you still continued to break rules and get banned. This appeal is very much a "I used to be stupid", so prove to the staff actually unbanning you what's different, because to me it sounds like the same amount of slop and you're only coming back because you ran out of options, not because you enjoy this server when you're not breaking the rules.
