No.... I don't think you actually do know how to abide by the rules, hence why we're quite literally on a ban appeal. Your previous offenses kind of speak for themselves at this point where only at your second ban you receive a permanent ban. After being banned FOUR times in one month in 2024, you still continued to break rules and get banned. This appeal is very much a "I used to be stupid", so prove to the staff actually unbanning you what's different, because to me it sounds like the same amount of slop and you're only coming back because you ran out of options, not because you enjoy this server when you're not breaking the rules.

issue is it's next to impossible to prove or determine they are breaking meta game rules when using the tab menu IE I know this person is in the city because I checked my tab menu

It's a fundamental issue with how the game works. They can't outright act on it but if someone is wanted and they have their f3 they know which properties to look at and good luck convincing staff that's outright meta game Giving out your name shouldn't result in giving out which faction you are a part of. This applies with or without my suggestion just without it being they know which faction you are a part of via tab menu instead of in rp.

Anyways fast foward to 2026 and im talking to a friend of mine about how shitty five m has gotten and started lowkey reminensicing about diverge, i remember this server being fun af and if possible i would like a chance to experience that again. I apologize for how retarded i used to be and i promise you wont be seeing any more goofy ass behavior from me again. im ngl i thought of suggesting something like this and i'd +1 it only if there was an appropriate solution... Out right removal? I'd disagree.. Perhaps it's as simple as removing the number "of players in that faction thats next to each factions name (except civs?). In the end.. if the concern is "once someone has your name and they can see which faction you're in" - i dont think that's too much of an issue because: 1. they cannot do anything ICly cos metagame. 2. Leads you to be more attentive and cautious with whom you give your name out to. 3. Adds to the consequences of your actions taken in the long run (friends today but enemies tomorrow or vice verca) if there's a way around it without removing it, would be more ideal. In the end people could always use the bot or console to check who is online, speculate which character they're on and make assumptions.
