What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I have been enjoying the server for over 6 months now, and have gained a lot more free time recently. I thought it would be valuable to me and the community to start helping out with the moderation efforts and ensuring an enjoyable time for everyone who passes through the city, so that hopefully more people will stick around and have the positive experience I have had so far! If something's good, it's worth maintaining. I also think being a staff member would help inform my future RP and gameplay, and deliver a better experience for me and the people I interact with as a result. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I am an adult and I have worked in management within the hospitality industry for nearly 4 years and am very experienced in being a mediator of conflicts and issues. I am capable and willing to ensure everyone walks away from a dispute without feeling like they've been treated with bias, or that an outcome was unfair. I spend enough time on the server to want to assist in its moderation, but not so much as to be deep in the Diverge drama mines. I will hear out what people have to say, without becoming personally offended should they be upset due to the nature of their ongoing issue. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): No, but I am sure to pick everything up quickly Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: No Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I am definitely not unknown, but not super well known, especially in terms of the OOC community, I believe I bring a good amount of roleplay and I am always being agreeable, approachable and fun to interact with. I'm sure there will be some people who can attest to my reputation better than I can myself, haha - I'm definitely trying to interact with more people in the city, from all the businesses and beyond, particularly through getting into legal RP. I am confident my reputation is good overall What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: There is a huge amount of things I could pull from, obviously conflict can be fun, but I have always enjoyed the dinners, meetings and community events the most! I like taking my friends and family to a new restaurant to RP, try some new food and say Marone like 20,000 times. I think the best moments are always found within small interactions between you, and some Unknown guy on the street, where you just remember for a second that everyone around you is an actual person. Those 60 second talks-in-passing can genuinely be just some of the funniest or most human moments you can get from gaming. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: SexaphoneGod, Yumeko ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: If I was off-duty, I would be happy to make a staff ticket myself, or encourage the involved parties to do so. This would then ideally lead to an active staff member handling the ticket, and I would be available to provide a clip or support if necessary. If there were no other staff active, or it was a particularly busy time, I would encourage the involved parties to make a ticket and then claim it in an official capacity, rather than skipping over that initial step. If there is a preferred protocol for this, I would be happy to learn it, too You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would communicate to the staff member that the abuse is becoming frequent and that despite it being somewhat "lowkey" it is likely to cause them or me an issue in the future, and may be effecting the wellbeing of players or other staff, and so they need to fix up their behaviour. If they showed no ability to express remorse or understanding of what they were doing wrong, and made no promise to stop doing these minor infractions, then I would speak with a separate higher ranked staff member to inform them of the ongoing problems, and leave it in their hands. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would say this constitutes a possible bias, as one might feel like they can let their friend off easy, due to their anecdotal past experiences with them. In this circumstance, I would not be involving myself with the ticket, unless necessary. The ticket needs to run its course through the proper due process, without the personal opinion of a staff member. If there is proof of the RDM and/or minging, the correct punishments or warnings need to be issued. Whilst I know I would have no gripe with issuing proper consequences to members of my faction(s) it is also preferable for the sake of preventing bias accusations, that someone else handles the ticket. If there is no other option, or I am required to take the ticket I would do my most to ensure 1. a fair and due process and 2. the parties involved leave free from concerns of bias. To conclude: I have been massively engaged in Diverge for a good while, and enjoying it so much, I think I am a good fit to assist in the moderation of the server, and that both fellow staff and the community/playerbase would get along well with me, and I can devote enough time to make the required weekly quota (and then some) Thanks for your consideration! ---------------------------------------------------------

Hey. So after looking this over with other members of staff we have come to the decision to deny this for multiple reasons. 1) you don’t properly give the orders to leave your property. As the rules state you need to give the orders while having a gun out and ready. Which is not what was happening here. 2) he complies and gets up then you gun him down after still not following any proper escalation. due to those reasons listed above your appeal will be denied. The char that is claimed to be a "mugging char" Is my oldest char by quite a bit, and has over 500,000$ worth of custom clothing, is a former faction member, and was never created with the intent of being a mugging char. also, this char has made substantial amounts of money selling oil. I was 100% aware of the risk and rules when it comes to mugging, which I followed. In summary, this should not be considered a mugging char because of the assets that the char has, the age of the char, and the fact that it was a former faction member. Why should you be unbanned? Hello Admin that baned you here, When I pulled you for the sit you walked to a corner then proceeded to disconnect. After checking the logs and stated left by user disconnect and within the same logs, it showed you running over an individual and killing them.

When you first join a faction a little tab appears on your screen stating that you may be PK'd for a multitude of reason, before you join a faction a display appears stating the risks that come from joining a criminal faction. Dons may use any reason to PK someone in their criminal faction just as long as it is deemed appropriate. Very sorry for your loss. I hope this manages to clear things up!

Hope you are doing well, After much deliberation and discussion about your actions and motives we came to the following conclusion: 1. Your pet flags will be staying blacklisted as you have a multitude of notes within a short time frame and show no real drive to improve your usage of the privilege, therefore we are denying that part of this appeal. 2. We are accepting your appeal for character creation rights back, but this will need to come with some clarification on our expectations from you moving forward. We are giving this privilege back to you so you may make real, thought out, and meaningful characters that are a good addition to the server, not so you may make several characters with ridiculous names that provide nothing but headaches and end up dead soon after creation.
