  2. this @calink guy is smoking fucking crack
  3. Today
  4. Makes sense that high command would have control over these things, and some internal systems to manage their illicit businesses and rackets Helps solve abuse issues and also encourages more roleplay between higher ups and newer faction members +1
  5. Not necessarily + or - but the playtime is extremely low I realise you've staffed other servers, but a good understanding of the specifics of current Diverge and the community feels key to being staff - 2 days is just not enough time yet I don't doubt you have the right temperament to be staff though, judging by those who recommended you
  6. +1 Good looking app, only thing can maybe inch at is lower playtime than typical but this app wont be accepted immediately, just keep up what youre doing and good luck
  7. +1 RPs and is not stupid, better than most applicants.
  8. Yeah maybe not a constant countdown, just a reminder like how server restart reminders happen.
  9. +1, I know this member decently well, he has extreme competence and he has really good staffing experience on other communities. The only issue (if it's even that big of a deal) is his playtime. The reason I say that isn't a big deal is because even though he might not understand the general politics nor understand how we run as a community, that doesn't stop him from having a good understanding of the rules of the server and how a community should be, and run. I have good faith in him. God Speed.
  10. can you play a musical instrument?
  11. Yeah I recommended this guy. Not a gay retard.
  12. In-Game Name(s): Dante Genovese, Soldier for the DeCavalcante Crime Family & Officer Murphy Clementine Steam Name: ruze Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199843233736/ Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:941484004 Discord Username: ruze Age: 20 When did you first join the server: I have known about Diverge since it's release but never really played since I used to play on other communities where I was apart of RP importance. I did play at one point when the UCS were implemented in 2023 where I did a job as a investigator (basically a glorified information checker). Didn't last long until I left due to personal reasons. But I recently came back to this community and found a new love for it. Total playtime on our Servers (Do !time in-game): 2d 20h 23m. Regardless of my playtime I have been encouraged by senior members of administration including a member of Upper Administration to apply. Time Zone: EU (I literally am on like at all times so I am very flexible, usually on all morning during EU times all the way to peak NA times). I'm j*bless, god bless. How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: I don't have many real life commitments outside of the house at the moment so most of my free time will and is spent on the community. Have you read the rules?: Yes. Do you have a working microphone?: Yes. Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): Easy work, yes. Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: I used to be very familiar with these commands due to past experiences so a quick refresh on them and I will be up to par again. Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes. ------------------------------------------------- Long Answer Questions proceeded with an asterix require a response of 3 Sentences Minimum. What is your motivation/reason for applying?: My motivation for this application is through the encouragement that I received from members of administration and also my wants to help this growing community and see it thrive. I want to be directly apart of the growth of Diverge and I believe through applying, I will have a more direct role in seeing this community thrive. Despite my short amount of time on the community I have found a deep interest and connection to the community which has further fueled my personal interest of being something bigger on the community and helping out the player base. Often times I have found because of my timezone (EU) there are individuals breaking the server rules and I cannot help despite how much I would like to which is why I am making this application. I believe if I were to be accepted for staff I could make the standard of EU timezone roleplay for Diverge a lot better than just time for minges to play. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: To start off I would say I have experience greater than many others. I have been around the serious roleplay community of GMOD since 2017 and from that time I have learned a lot of the ins and outs of serious roleplay. Through my experience I have picked up knowledge on how staff members should act through their official duties. I would consider myself a professional and cool-tempered person and I would like to believe that others who have had experiences with me would agree. I am also a dedicated problem solver and a fast learner. Because of those skills taking tickets which involve solving problems will feel like a breeze not only for myself but also the player requiring assistance. Whether if they are technical issues or disputes between players I will be able to handle them efficiently and effectively. Overall I have experience in both roleplay and administration to be more than qualified for the position of Moderator and Staff of Diverge Networks. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): TyphonNetworks - Administrator, 6 months atleast potentially a year. IcefuseNetworks (JvS) - Senior Administrator, would estimate to about 2-3 months. WorstCaseScenario (One of the biggest Arma Reforger communities) - Moderator, 1-2 months. I have experience through other servers, communities and other games without notoriaty. Essentially with the same social work that I would be doing here. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: No. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I am not particulary well known with the broader community however in my clique (The DeCavalcante Crime Family) I would like to say that I am fairly well known for good reasons and I would like to think that I have helped out in more than one way. I would also like to mention that I have progressed through the Police Department in a speed which I believe some have not and that I am a somewhat friendly face to a few members of command. Despite me being fairly new to the community I have progressed a lot more than the typical player has and have shown that I am reliable and someone who wants to fulfill his goals on this community. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: I do not have a specific favourite moment so far however I would like to say every moment on the server has been my favourite. I have had nothing but good times on the server since I came back from 2023. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: jj & Monaclu. ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I would get on my staff character if I was not in an active roleplay situation; get the Steam ID of the individual who RDM'd me through the logs and take him to a sit room. From there I would question him on why he RDM'd me and depending on his response I may give him a verbal warning or a note. If he were to be disrespectful I would give him a note. If he were to be respectful and if I were to believe that he was a newer member of the community I would give him a verbal warning and return him. Regardless in both situations the infasis would be on what he did wrong and I would explain that to him thorougly in both situations. In the case that I am in an active roleplay situation and I would believe it to be inappropriate to switch to my staff character after the RDM I would get the individuals Steam ID through the logs and request another member of staff to take him to a sit room and talk to him and I would also provide a clip. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: If the abuse were to be malicious towards the community I would document the abuse and reach out to a member of Upper Administration regarding the situation. Even if the abuse was not neccessarily malicious towards the community I would still document it and reach out to Upper Administration and see if it is something that needs to be dealt with. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: If I were to take the ticket not knowing that it was my friend or a member of my faction I would take to both players about the situation and bring in a second opinion through communicating to other members of staff in the staff chat. From there I and the other member of staff can deliberate on a fair and unbiased conclusion of the situation. If I noticed that it was a friend of mine and or a member of my faction I would not get involved and wait for the ticket to be taken or accepted by another member of staff. The reason for this is if I were to take the ticket it could be seen as biased if I side with the person in my faction or my friend.
  13. Hello, As already mentioned, this was an improper escalation, and you were inserting yourself into a situation that was none of your concern. Why? You did not have either of their f3, and if they are on your property, ask them at least three times if they could fight somewhere else because they are trespassing on private property. So why did you bother to shoot, cause your attempt to scare them with a warning shot failed already. The escalation between these two ended after one of them dying and they even tried to walk off from the scene, he told you to shut up since you witnessed him committing a crime, eventhough he said 'fucking jew' immediately reaching for your pistol to shoot them is a failed escalation, if someone insulted you like that try to either melee or pistol whip so this looks like a properly initiated fight, but also do not bait for these scenarios so you can reach for your pistol so you can kill them. Regarding the LTARP, we can assume you left to avoid roleplay if you killed someone, since this is part of an initiated rp scenario. Do not LTAP/LTARP. If you initiate an RP situation or are in an Admin sit you may be punished if you decide to leave the game/switch characters to avoid punishment/roleplay. If you crash be sure to message the handling admin or type in the discord. Otherwise try and reconnect right away, admins may wait up to 5 to 10 minutes for someone to reconnect. If you're unsure if it's LTAP/LTARP wait a minimum of 10 minutes before disconnecting or switching character. Your ban appeal has been reviewed and denied. We have determined this ban to be reasonable and/or justified. Ensure you have read our Server Rules.
  14. Not true that I mug everyone that I see but nvm, so why I left the faction and started doing weed, oil, mugging is because I wanted to join on my main as I've said before. I left on 28th November, last time I tried to join the Supreme on my main it was on the day I got banned I couldn't? It's been more than 7 days but still nothing you can check that I opened tickets about this. So I can't do anything on my main I didn't want to do anything on it before joining the faction so I went on Jamal to hustle, not in the way of "mugging only" but doing everything that a low-profile criminal does. P.S the first guy that I mugged and 3rd person abused wasn't even getting a shipment (I didn't see him) the admin didn't say anything after seeing the clip only that I 3rd person peeked he didn't look like a new player either. Now I will show you my last mugging that didn't happen for no reason "clip" I literally don't mug people for no reason and I don't mug new players nor white shirts you can check that too because what value can they bring to me. Every time I am in the ghetto there are few people which are most of them are new players, mugging them would be retarded ngl. If somehow I join the faction on my main, I'll see where to join on Jamal and probably stop being a low-profile criminal that I am right now.
  15. "alright Lemme just unlock my car and we can get outta he-" your car has been removed for inactivity "Oh.. ok" +1
  16. +1 this would be nice to have, ive had to many rp interactions get fucked over because of my car despawning :(((
  17. I do think something in the way of an indicator for this would be ideal - not even just for QOL as I have had countless RP interactions made extremely awkward due to the sudden need to walk from the long tunnel car park, or construction, etc. +1
  18. Imma go ahead and blow your mind, brace yourself. While most Mafias historically avoided killing cops, it was a common occurrence both in NY and in Italy. While a cop in-game shouldn't be killed willy nilly, some actions should 100% be PKable. Cops right now walk and act like they are hot shit because there's no repercussions and that's what they can get away with. Basic example: In reality cops and detectives had to move a certain way, they knew that if they overstepped their ass was on the line which is not a thing on the server.
  19. can we get a countdown something simple just in top corner of ur screen small time counter in minutes/seconds before ur car despawns.. that way we know when to enter car before it despawns
  20. I am the member of staff who issued the ban. Your own clip literally shows the whole situation, two dudes were fighting outside of Little Israel and you were basically inserting yourself into a situation that didn't concern you as none of the guys had dealt damage to you, and then as the guy is walking off he tells you to keep your mouth shut and then you pull out your gun and fire at him and then kill him. This is you failing to follow the escalation rules as the guy was an idle threat, not an active threat. I took the reporting player's ticket and he showed me a clip and then after checking logs, you had left a minute later after killing the guy and so you were banned. "In regards to how a user is allowed to react to verbal threats. There are two types of threats, an 'Active Threat' and a 'Idle threat'. Users may kill for an active threat but they may not kill for an idle threat. The difference between the two is situational but will always pertain to if the person making the threats has a weapon in their hand. For example, someone pointing a gun at you and threatening to kill you. This is an Active threat. Someone saying they will kill/beat you in an argument or conversation. (Unarmed, weapon on safety etc) that is an idle threat. You are allowed to react to an Active threat in that moment (Not later when the situation is over)."
