DopeAsRoe
In Season 1, Episode 8 of The Sopranos, Tony reprimands Christopher for shooting the bakery schmuck in the foot and moving Email’s body. While yelling at him, Tony accidentally lights his cigarette backward. Chris points it out, and Tony responds pretty violently by stomping out the cigarette. What was the meaning behind this? Did the cigarette owe him money? I think it was kind of overkill to stomp it out that hard. It probably left a big stain on Christopher’s floor mat, and Tony doesn’t even seem to care. A lot of people associate Tony’s darker side with the later seasons, but I think we actually get a glimpse of what’s to come in this cigarette scene. Seems like a dick move on Tony’s part imo. KingJewMonaclu
its not directly stated, but it's heavily implied that the cigarette spent 20 years in the can, eating grilled cheese off the radiator 1 Link to comment
