Yeah I think the long open time is a fine enough deterrent for opening your stash mid fight

At best we can change the damage type to try to avoid stuff like self inflicted damage.

It’s mainly Car damage 

you crash because server lags or someone hits you

The reason for it being there is pretty good, but it really is irritating when you're just driving to your stash and some madman comes and rams you. Then youre just stuck staring at your stash in a dark corner praying that the white shirt demons don't emerge from the shadows. 

 

tldr please just lower the cooldown or just specify the damages

If the police are close enough to witness you hide your gun in the ATM and get a warrant in scenario A then they're probably gonna be able to thwart your lightning quick stash opening time in scenario B

What if you just make the time to open the stash more if you've recently taken damage? It would definitely be better than getting the annoying "you've recently been in a fight" message.

Or better yet, if hiding from cops is the main issue, make a system where if a cop is in the vicinity of a player using a stash they can also access said players stash. I understand that might be a complicated system to implement but RP wise it makes alot of sense and it makes people think before trying to stash an item cause said stash could have more incriminating items in it. Give the opportunity for people to escape, and the opportunity for police to investigate
