Geo_Zeus
Simple suggestion, instead of prices changing randomly they should change according to market supply and demand. What this means is, the server's gonna keep track of sales for each NPC and the price of the products will change accordingly. Now, there's two approaches to this: 1) The NPC sales could be compared to one another, i.e product X has more sales than product Y so product Y has a slight increase in sale price while product X has a slight decrease. This will promote diversifying relations with different factions and trade partners to maximize profit. 2) The sale price could fluctuate acccording to the amount of sales for each NPC in a specific time window (wether that'd be a number of days or up to a week will be left to Mr. Bacon's discretion.) i.e There's 20% more sales of product X this week, there's more of this product on the market, the price will inevitably drop a bit and vice versa. This route is an attempt to actually make something out of the current system that makes sense and isn't just RNG mumbo jumbo, instead of random changes in the price, the community controls the price(aka the people buying and selling). xDutchCat
nah i don't really think this would be fair yk? the faction relationships are already good and it's very unfair for those who are employed or live in a different timezone, it would only benefit those who could sell a large amount of the hour in that moment 1 Link to comment

I think this would promote RP in the long run, products spreading more widely and alliances made through the economy, not just petty feuds and egos. That being said I get what you're saying about employed people and people on different timezones (I am both of those things) and how they might not have the time to diversify but if you think about it, the current system isn't doing those people any favor either since it's completely random if the price is gonna be good when they can play the game. Using suggestion #1 would let those people get an idea of the current market, and if they've diversified their trade beforehand they have more of a chance to get a better profit. At least that's my opinion! 27 minutes ago, xDutchCat said: it would only benefit those who could sell a large amount of the hour in that moment That is true, there could be delays to the price changes added to give people a chance to "abuse" the market, but even if there isn't and the price fluctuation is somehow instant(which i don't believe would be the case) the person selling large amounts at a time is directly hurting his own profits by flooding the market with the product he's selling. Either way thanks for your time in replying to this, there's definitely flaws to it but it could lead to something good with the input of the community! Link to comment
