Stock Market Board for Prices

Im sure this has already been mentioned to a certain degree, but I believe doing it this way would be interesting. I think having a NYC stock exchange market board in chess park would be a really good way to show off pricing of fluctuating items (the -20% +20%). Make it a NYC stock market theme where it would have tickers such as RCK for Rockefeller B&S for Brown n Sons, CNE for coke, etc. Have this board be an OOC board so cops cant complain about drug prices being on there. A board like this showing green when the prices are up, yellow when it is stagnant, and red when it is down, would be a unique way of showing off prices rather than the current method of have 1 baggie of each.

yeah this is kinda dumb to have drug prices listed at city hall even if it’s OOC that just furthers it not making sense 

 

 

now if we had fluctuation of prices on gold/silver you can obtain in the game it could create a mini economy / more trading of non illegal items and more business opportunities for factions/civs

Oil and legal stocks that get established, sure. But, drug prices? Hyper cringe. Immersion broken. Fuck you.

 

Soft +1 for an Oil/stock ticker to be placed in several spots in the Southside as a vague idea tho

Oil, Silver, and Gold all make sense and would be a good addition. However, a "bloomberg terminal" of drugs, either doesn't exist or would cost more than a regular terminal. in 1990 it definitely didn't exist. It was all over the phone, paper, and people you knew in person, aka IC roleplay in diverge.

Yeah /rumour is already like a UseNet so we basically got people on deck constantly to ask about prices and shit for drugs and other illegal items
