Reason for ban:  LTARP

Length of ban: 3 days

Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): I would like to make this appeal for the reason of the LTARP. Officer Billy Mcdonald one day was sitting by my place of employment the barber shop he seemed as if he was afk as a cop. I was talking to a man about suits just having a casual conversation. The man then says hey why dont we introduce ourselves I said hell yeah man im down with that. As soon as he goes to send the introduction of names the cop went behind me and sent a introduction of names from behind which led to him now having my name. He has been targeting me due to the fact he knows im a felon now and he sees me everywhere and its all because of a powergame, abuse of a game mechanic he did the same to my co worker "CASH" but its ridiculous that the situation with the LTARP was because he knew who I was and was approaching me because he knew I was a felon I had a shotgun on my back and was wearing a mask during him trying to approach me about the shotgun on my back. I just feel its unfair hes able to have my name due to the abuse of that game mechanic and it now led to this ban. I apologize for even going the route of LTARP as I never break the rules ive been str8 forward grinding and just building connections, but I just felt it was unfair that he just has my name now and is targeting me any chance he gets. Why should you be unbanned?  I just feel its unfair hes able to have my name due to the abuse of that game mechanic and it now led to this ban. I apologize for even going the route of LTARP as I never break the rules ive been str8 forward grinding and just building connections, but I just felt it was unfair that he just has my name now and is targeting me any chance he gets. Hello!

I'm the supporting admin who gathered the clips and logs after you LTARP'd. I passed everything over to Lunar because I would have been conflicted handling the ban myself.

At the end of the day, whether or not the officer knew your identity beforehand doesn't change the outcome. You were visibly carrying a shotgun on your back in public, so any officer would have stopped you for that. Once you began evading, the apartment breach and chase would have also been justified.

Regarding the name reveal power gaming claim. The mutual introduction mechanic requires the recipient to actively accept via F2. You had full control over whether to accept or decline. In the future, if you're around in a public area or possibly around people you don’t want to share your name with, it’s best to move to a private location before doing any introductions.

I don’t condone any actual misconduct with the introduction system if it occurred, but the core situation (armed suspect evading) was handled within the rules. You’ve acknowledged that LTARP was wrong and that you denied roleplay to others, that’s why the ban in my opinion should stay in place.

You do realize that is abuse of the game mechanic , I shouldn't have to be somewhere private and be concerned that a cop behind me is going to introduce right before the guy right in front of me. That's a clear power game situation that clearly lead to this. He was calling my name as I walked by lol if thats not power gaming idk what is then. Shit seems unfair that you can led him slide with that. He would have never came to me if he didn't know it was me.

Everything im saying is valid. Your saying that him pressing Introduce behind me when I was talking to the guy in front of me is role playing? Which allows him to know who I am in the future during role play, hence why this whole situation happened. There's no way to track who tried to introduce you. Maybe a change in that should be made if you aren't going to stand by the rules and only be a one sided type of administration lol

Hello! I was the Admin who initiated the ban, going off the evidence provided by Psykho. You were banned on the grounds of LTARP due to you getting in a foot pursuit with the cops and then switching chars to avoid the arrest. The ban was heavier due to the circumstances, where you would've gotten a hefty sentence if you were actually arrested.
 

Regarding your argument to powergame, Psykho summed it up perfectly, where if you are going to shake hands with someone, it should be someone you trust. I know a lot of people who have gotten caught in that trap where cops will be off-duty and try to shake your hand.

Hey I'm not related to this ban, However I do believe I have a small say regarding this situation since something similar happened to me

I am a current felon on my colombo character, I was wearing a mask (Probable cause to be ID, Also a felony if you're a felon.) while trying to help my friend and was damaged locked and couldn't remove my mask- so I was arrested because I was a felon and had an illegal gun similar to you. TLDR: He has probable cause to ID- and then arrest you for public masking and then the gun on your back since you're a felon. Regardless of him having your f3. What you should've done is just blasted him with your shotgun and ran away since you reasonably knew he was going to arrest you (Multiple felonies regarding the gun, masking etc.) instead of leaving the server mid arrest which is LTARP.

f3 fishing, to my knowledge isn't against rules. Just be careful when you accept the mutuals, or only give eachother your f3 via directly looking at them
