additional melee weapons

would it or would it not be fire to get additional melee weapons such as i think maybe garrot wire, switch blade (stiletto style) and a butterfly knife. Lowk fye js. any other recommendations appreciated.

I like the idea of having new melee that remains in the 1990s feel of things, such as knuckle dusters or flip knives etc etc.

could be an idea for like an illegal melee weapon market, Long knives like stiletto's were criminalized for their concealment lethality and ease of use, could make it so these illegal weapons are like a class above regular hardware store weapons that in which they are more lethal but  if you are caught using one of these illegal weapons it would be a modifying factor to whatever crime u committed. Garotte wire might be like a weird implem since that's more of a strangulation mechanic weapon but weapons like switchblades, Nailed/Barbed Baseball bats (to cause bleeding+impact damage) Blackjack  that could work like the boxing gloves in which the use of would knock a person out rather then outright killing them (could be used in kidnappings), Brass knuckles  and some kind of short sword (like a katana/tanto) and these would all be pretty realistic weapons at least for the time period.


Could also really make Melee Vs Firearm pvp interesting as it would sort of be like the same risk/reward a person operates under while carrying non conceal carry firearms above class 1's to have more firepower in a firefight, but whereas with melee weapons they would also be taking the risk of being seen with/using these lethal illegal melee weapons that in turn the reward would give them  somewhat of a level playing field against a guy with a regular class one or two, and would probably also encourage people to train their stats more to explicitly start training to use these more powerful weapons for whatever kind of scenario (especially with coke, max strength,30 stam), and to scale these weapons so that from a ranged perspective, your top priority would be dispatching the person who wants to close the distance with said weapon because to allow someone to close the distance on you with a katana or a nailed bat would be akin to losing a firefight and would change the way people approach situations where more then 1 person is armed and they have to think "will that guy with a fucking katana close the distance on me while i reload" and would add another layer of complexity to large or smaller firefights/conflicts where its mostly people just getting shot, would also give police the added fear of needing to contend with high lethality melee weapons and potentially firearms at the same time. Could all be a pipe dream but i personally believe the melee meta could be real

They could have like a black ops 3 style case opening function. You can get xp from just playing the server and open cases that can unlock new melee weapons like a wrench or something
