Allow a feature in the 'C' menu of a car to park it, which turns it into a prop so it doesn't despawn. Which then can be undone by which ever method is practical for the server to allow it to be drivable again.

There’s a reason cars despawn, and it’s not just so people don’t steal them. Cars despawn to help with sever performance. Why yes it can be a nuisance to see your car despawn after x amount of time but in all reality I think the vast majority of players would agree that when the sever is at max pop limiting cars sitting out greatly helps with over all performance. On top of that how would you manage people parking cars in the middle of the road and turning them into props….

I think allowing the option to turn an entity into a prop for the time being would limit that reality. It'd be a wonder to code.

i see the vision and kinda like the idea. if its automatic, replacing a 4x constrained entity with a single high res model for like 60 ppl who have a car out might allow for more 'vehicles' that can be out at a time (maybe just not used at a time) 
i just dont know how feasible this is, a lot would need to be hashed out around the idea like if idle vehicles can be stolen, defaced, etc but thats also not my job lmao

Dedicated spawning pads for properties. If your property has any type of garage or loading dock etc. you can go ahead and spawn cars there if you have perms on the property. Now if we don't want this to just make the car dealer obsolete, those spawning pads can work as follows; You "deposit" your car when you drive it on there and you can take it out once after. The despawn timers and all that would stay the same BUT these spawning pads wouldn't be able to just spawn your vehicle, you'd have to have placed your vehicle in there, basically if it hasn't been placed in there it can't get taken out and if it has been placed in there it can only get taken out once until you place it back in there.
