Cleanup Crews

Often I am finding that there are PKs and shootouts in the city and the police fail to clean up the crime scene. There will be blood spatter and chalk outlines leftover in the city for days.

 

I have heard people joke about this but this is actually not a bad idea. What if the city government contracted out clean up crews from local businesses around town?

 

The local business is hired to go and clean up the scenes around the city to keep the streets clean, and in return they are compensated.

Idk how it'd script but it could also work as a task for city workers to complete after X time has passed

with the recent overhaul city workers got, i dunno if they're in any dire need for more, plus i don't trust a loose band of new players to be effectively cleaning up the city
im definitely more in line with the idea factions being able to use it as a front- cleaning services are one of the quintessential mobster services and this seems like the perfect opportunity to see them more properly introduced.

Im skeptical to this, as the other day I spoke to the Takahashi don about this concept. At no point did he mention it's already a thing. He also laughed and agreed how blood is leftover for days after and agreed it would be a good idea.

Also never ever seen this put in practice in the city from any faction.

yes but were not just gonna go around the city just cleaning up random messes

Even still i dont know the legality of cleaning a scene thats old, could be illegal ICly and this change could add towards citizen role with a new job role to manage these cleanings potentially

simple answer could be PD stepping it up cleaning up the scenes after theyre done with them or finding them naturally, perhaps PD gets a simple 100$ per blood spilled bam ez pz

Police should already be tasked with doing this under the IC notion of cleaning up a crime scene and collecting evidence. Police literally do this detail IRL.
 

No faction or citizens should be tasked with it.

Just another lazy, retarded, and typical instance that highlights lack of attention to detail by half-ass PD mains who totally aren’t just pussies afraid of losing a real character that are allergic to RP.

Chalk outlines disappear after map change.

The idea of using government characters to clean up crime scenes will simply be abused to metagame / powergame. Having an alternate character you can use to clean up a crime scene you or your faction caused.

I periodically go around and clean up left over blood stains, but they need to have been there for a bit.
