happy 4th of july yall

I'm hurt that you say there are a multitude, and I've had more than just one dupe approved; -the carousel (discretionary) -the rodeo bull (discretionary) -little israel's money-pie roulette table -little israel's sky screamer commission (discretionary) at some point I was told that as long as it looked alright and it wouldn't crash the server, lag or look ugly, and staff didn't ask me to remove it, it would be fine, because I had made so many tickets at some point that they just wanted me to stop could you please find some forgiveness for this "last straw situation" in the fact that I only miss the staff approval for this piece to exist? I originally made it for my rockefeller character as something akin to a spinning sign or an interactive billboard because it literally is an engine, and I was really happy about finishing this thing cause it was a nightmare to figure out for the understanding of who views this appeal, this is the dupe I'm talking about Also, I don't know where I was told I couldn't build, but I do know what I wasn't allowed to do; I was specifically told not to put down a double decker parking dupe which took me a little while to make, and I was going to sell it to the guys at Napoli, but UA said no, the next day, stupidly, I talked to the guy at nap and showed him the dupe, and he thought it was awesome, but my flags got taken and I had to appeal; since then I've always respected the wishes of staff when it came to my props you said no moving builds, when you told me to delete the wheelchair; I thought this meant no moving, vehicular builds; when I brought out the engine, I thought it was fine because in terms of mobility, it was stationary and not a threat to your life if you didn't actively fuck with it by using YOUR flags to try and jam it or stepping into the machine and killing yourself on purpose I do not get stubborn, as much effort as I might put into something cool I can always make another dupe that won't make a problem for staff or anybody responsible for where I use my flags all in all, I would have asked if I wasn't so used to being told "this is what you made a ticket for??", so I generally tried to follow the guidelines and make the dupes rp relevant and also practical in their use; if that's what it takes, then I'll always ask discretion (if you didn't read the second posted thing, you won't know why I didn't ask first here)

I think you misunderstand; there's not a lot of legitimate uses you have for staff powers that you can use in character; outside of building which you really should be doing in the sandbox server, you can't do much of anything with your staff powers that will not give you an inherent advantage for example, in the situation I talked about someone having welded a couch to his lamborghini, that looks pretty innocent from an outside perspective, but mechanically; 1. you cannot do damage to anybody on the couch without shooting their seat spot specifically, and that would be pretty hard to do at the speeds a lambo can go: 2. it could potentially block shots or be picked up by a minge (this, as in, when you hold out your hands and right click on a prop that is light enough, you can pick it up and wave it around); this would end up getting the car fucked with and prop abused 3. it looks retarded, yeah, funny, but it's retarded and it'll make people feel obligated either to be retarded about it or get pissed that somebody welded a couch to a lamborghini and staff let it slide henceforth, staff abuse should always be taken seriously, no matter how light or minimal it might seem; that shit can really fuck up any in character situation

you're right, I'll add on to them from here; 1. If somebody RDMs and I'm off duty, I don't handle it; I get ON duty and find out the whole situation, a lot of RDM could be an actual hit playing out and I don't want to act on what people don't make a ticket for UNLESS it's just blatant rulebreaking (i.e. mass VDM). For a better step by step, I begin THIS process if the ticket is made; 1. I ask the ticketer what happened and who might be involved 2. I ask the involved persons including the ticketer for a clip of the situation (I do not bother anybody who needs to be brought until I can confirm they are outside of a roleplay situation) 3. If a clip is provided, I review. If not, and there's any kind of dispute or argument between parties in what happened, then I dismiss. If it's only an argument based on what the situation is, this can be solved by actually reviewing the rules for both parties to understand what happened. Teach if possible, but if one party doesn't accept the outcome, I can do nothing about it. Second, If a staff member abuses, since it really is down to the T, I'll report the abuse. Getting any advantage from being staff, icly, is bullshit; I was thinking in the realm of doing fun stuff that staff are usually only able to do, but aren't really harmful there's not a lot that you can do as staff with your powers icly that wouldn't end up being abuse and/or powergame, so I think it's fair we keep a short leash on that type of stuff

What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I've noticed a pretty big shortage of staff as of recently, and I really don't like the response times personally. Staff is pretty good in general, I really don't have serious qualms, it's just that tickets take around 20 minutes for a response minimum. I feel like that kind of degrades the roleplay experience when somebody who was long meant to be dead or banned for stupid things is still going around and doing things relevant to the problem they created. I've been cop a lot, and recently it hasn't been super busy, so I feel like I could solve the issue for other people at least while I wait for my turn to be addressed, or until I finally need to be in character. I also think it's the right move to fix my name and contribute to the server at the same time, getting rid of inherent and ridiculous troubles, immediately. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I don't really associate with the mob on any character, so I've really got no bias for any faction; I mind my own business and make money, I'm happy with that, and I've not had to deal with a Don in a long time. HOWEVER, that does not mean I don't understand the gravity of a character's impact. I know well what can and should end up killing somebody, or saving their life, based on how many times I've died myself. I would probably ask them to tell me what to do after being given the details, so I'm not necessarily the brain as much as I am the hand.

I was trying to join a company on my character Waffels William Evers when it was cancelled mid hire, the following process is how it occurred; 1. I leave Rockefeller 2. I join said company 3. I ask staff to transfer me out of said company (Somespy did it for me) and into Rockefeller 4. I am transferred to citizens of New York, Somespy says the game registers that I was PK'd and cannot rejoin Rockefeller due to cooldown

What do you expect me to do exactly? Most of the things I can do with PET flags are supposed to be in private property. Gambling tables, furniture, contraptions, all these things are supposed to be done somewhere the cops won't get pissed at me for, or it won't be in the way of the actual road. Adding to this, the privilege of being returned the flags means I won't be abusing them. They would be MY privilege to use, so I can choose where and how to use them. I will not be using them to impress YOU, I will be using them to do what I actually need to do with them. If I pass the BAR, I'll want an office dupe or two for when I go to different locations. Things that boost my prevalence RP wise without fucking up other people's experience.

Of course, I literally NEED them for my playstyle to exist. My playstyle being, very passive, very at-will. I rarely involve myself in anything vendor related, most of my money comes from players thinking my work looks cool or I make Rockefeller look industrial, make it look alive. I won't be bothering anybody with these tools again.

No such instance has occurred, I was there for the entire existence of this contraption and this thing cannot kill anybody If you're taking about the instance where some moron (the day you told me to delete the contraption before) had driven his car off the parking plane and ragdolled somebody, I myself couldn't tell if that person died or not but I accept responsibility for the stupid action regardless The dupe was heavily modified the day after, which is not to say it doesn't take up at least some space for the support beams, but two things must be noted; 1. The modifications were entirely to enhance the overall safety; I made it impossible for anything to be destroyed or blown up with the lift, and I made it impossible to crush players underneath either by the platforms or a moron trying to throw his car off the platform. 2. it takes up so little that it shouldn't affect parking aside from the platform's space, especially considering the fact that this is a double decker parking seeking to increase the overall capacity of parking in the areas it can be placed The amount of effort I put into this duplication is already punishment enough that I can't use it, especially since all I was seeking to do was make something cool. I don't block things on purpose, I don't break things on purpose. If I absolutely cannot put down the dupe, I accept that, but please don't make this into a permanent situation over something I really tried to make work. If it just doesn't go, I won't make it. I asked several times for staff to test my machine and ensure it can safely handle cars and whatever else staff might think this parking platform can endure. I EVEN made sure that the underground pistons did not clip into anything underneath or propblock anything. Also, every single moving part except the two individual lift platforms are no collided to make sure nothing bangs around and nobody can just stuff their shit through the machine and mess it up. Not that you owe me one, but you didn't give me any kind chance to show you how it works or how well it could have worked. I did my best in the realms of in and out of character to make sure this was a plausible dupe, but but I will HAPPILY take no for an answer for what dozens of other awesome things I can do with my pet flags. I really don't seek to abuse or hurt anybody's fun with them.

I spent around 3 or 4 hours fixing all the quirks on this thing in the back alley of hardware, Nubs and somespy saw it and even tried it themselves but of course neither of them encouraged the thing's use without official approval/endorsement by someone up there, but they know I was doing my best with this thing to make sure it would be alright ICly

Your Name: HarryB^ SteamID: STEAM_0:0:65488 Staff Member involved: jj What flags were blacklisted from you?: PET Reason for blacklist (if given): having spawned in a double decker parking dupe that jj said was propblocking the parking itself, but I had fixed all the issues with it Why should they be returned?: I just wanted to do something cool with it and show it off to the guys who were offering to give me a job for doing it right I specifically made the dupe impossible to fuck with physically without actually taking out your own physgun and fucking with it from underneath, and even then it still takes a substantial amount of effort to actually fuck it up; the dupe cannot explode cars, it cannot crush players, it cannot crush cars, it cannot have cars fall over from on top of it, it cannot be used to escape or avoid roleplay (the way the actual lift works uses buttons from the toolgun options so you can use the machine from on the lift, the second floor or ground level) and I made sure to make it as realistic as possible in adding pistons and piston bases, I thought it would be really neat for making it functionally appropriate but jj didn't like it period I won't use this dupe again, I use my pet flags for so much other shit that I genuinely need so please don't take it as a spite or any kind of dicking around, I just thought it would be better after I fixed all of the issues
