Im not one to bitch about people having fun. Im more of the person to let people just live their lives, its gmod, i understand this.
    BUT

    1. Constant minge chars with zero RP that talk ooc constantly. (wong, genderswap, etc)
    2. People will talk about factions openly in rumours with no rp just literally ooc talk about factions and shit.
    3. Large amounts of people standing in a group doing nothing (most of the time theyre in a discord call)
    4. I see atleast 3-4 sets of people following each other very clearly using discord every single day.
    5. Nobody ever gets in trouble for abusing factions or joining just to minge, their char just gets killed instead of a ban
    6. Constant shit clothing that wouldnt even make sense on someone if they were insane let alone 1989. (king Baldwin mask, leanin suit, etc)
    7. Nobody is forced to run their stores even if theyre paying taxes leaving alot of buildings just never open or doing anything.
    8. Theyre are literally like 3 factions that are JUST for minging.

My suggestion, get on your admins ass about fixing some of the problems, force them to spectate people really take the time to watch if people are breaking rules and start passing out punishments, its kinda insane that ill put a ticket in and its the same 2-3 admins taking my tickets but 8 are online doing literally nothing to help the server feel better. I'm sorry if this ruffles some feathers but I know very well im not the only one feeling this way. I joined about 6 months ago and just in that time ive seen a STEEP decline in peoples care for the rules because punishments aren't harsh enough.
    - someone who just wants to RP and is tired of clowns and trannies in my mafia gang server....

Point 1. I dont even know who you are, you dont know my RP lol just cos you see me around and do my thing doesn't mean you know shit lol - but you'd be surprised if you did know my RP.       "They hate him until they need him, then they love him" - Tayzonde 2025 (i added the last part). I do not speak constantly in OOC you spaz. Get my name out of your mouth and text, you uneducated ultracrepidarian.

Point 2. Yeah its a known problem - there's already talks and suggestions about implementing flag removals from rumour for those who misuse it.

Point 3. That is an inherent "problem" particularly with very serious RP factions. Stand still for 20 minutes, pick up a shipment, wait for cool down and order another shipment and repeat until a deal happens or some random encounter/drama event. It's boring. And they know it too. Nothing they can do about it because "im gonna get in trouble for it if my character has some fun cos i gotta be professional".

So what do people do about this? Make alt chars and fuck around on that - there are MANY... and i mean MANY... HC/Dons/MC I can name who made alternative characters/use old retired characters to fuck around with as "minges" cos they cant with their mains or because they're bored af... and this feeds into the problem. Few are stupid enough to make Alts and power game events and situation with their main chars enemy/disliked factions to stir beef. *cough cassano* *cough bonnano*.

A lot of people get burnt out and need breaks regularly because this game is just a part time job (full time if you're a HC). You LITERALLY pay tax weekly... in a game.. and the prices aint cheap in many places. And if you dont you get wacked lol. Sure "its easy to make 100k" - but good luck sustaining that in the long term without relying on custom clothes/cars to sell, or underlings to grind for you. (unless you bring something unique to the faction where you can negotiate not paying taxes by taking up other responsibilities like being a lawyer etc). And guess what - it isnt fun after a while (the whole reason we play...) and is a burden/chore...

Point 4. Yeah... Metagaming is quite the issue.. i see it too and its not a good thing. Radios exist for a reason people :C but this is more so not for regulars but ACTUAL MINGES who come here to fuck around with NITRP.

    Point 5. Elaborate more

Point 6, Good luck with that. Ironically I expected heat on the cars people drive too, which are mostly not from within the current era.. this isn't a problem lol you just have a different taste.

Point 7. Good luck "forcing" anyone to do anything. They paid for it they can do whatever they want. And a lot of places seem dead during the morning/evening but when its night time/late morning they come alive and vice versa when people aren't on to see it, then said people complain afterwards.

Point 8. Each factions have different RP standards, now whether its a good one or not... up for debate. It happens Each faction has their niche and Its nice, a place for most people who RP/play the game different and frankly I assure you, if the entire city RPd like commission factions, the server would die out swiftly out of sheer boredom, lacklustre progression and natural conflict/tension and if there is conflict/tension - its gay af.

You joined 6 months ago and I dont know your play time during these 6 months, but these issues are not a new thing lol.

"But getting "paid to mug" is the only RP you could think of" you cant prove he doesn't rp on the server by looking at him in a few instances. If you spectated him for 2-3 days on seperate occasions and ALL he did was mug would be completely different.  And if you did do as such you would clearly see that isnt "all he does". You clearly shouldn't of just stepped down from management on a video game, but the staff team all together.

Bad Willy, whilst i dont agree with the ban - that's Monaclu, respect goes a long way, young buck.

  3. +1 If RP is the concern, he is a good RPer especially if he needs to enforce shit. IIRC he came back recently from a short break and I have RPd with him a few times since his return (yes guys.. Howard larps...)

If the mug was valid and he hasnt broken the timelimit.. I dont see a reason why he should be banned let alone perma'd.

If he's a main character, has quite a few valuables and is ranked/made in his faction - mugging should be fair game despite the frequency being alarming cos it's high risk high reward; not like it's a new character doing this.

People haven't seen this man work the fryer in the KFNC store - he's got grandma's touch.

  4. Slightly +1 on the idea of having flags that can be removed - but then again if they are gonna be removed from someone wouldn't that warrant them being muted and/or banned for it?

I guess this can be an alternative punishment, particularly during war time, it will be quite handy to have.

  5. One of the attachment scopes are completely broken, cannot remember which one - all you see is the purple and black 'missing texture' when you look through.

  6. Id +1 this under certain circumstances.

For example you can perhaps buy a "ziptie cutters" from barge and when used it takes like 15 seconds to self cut restraints. With audio cues and/or a "/me starts breaking out" (gives a physical item to use to rp it out).

Would follow fearRP rules if you're doing that under gunpoint and die = PK.

It would be gay and would miss the point of 'RP iMmERsIoN' if it was "just press e to escape" and voila, you escaped.

  7. The command imo should stay as it provides coverage for when mass RDMers come through town - but if the argument is about how overused it is by staff for players etc, then thats a different story.

As it stands, like Cal said, it should be the case of if you want a Comp, the person who killed you, friend or not, will HAVE to get punished. Now whether or not this happens as it should, again different story.

But making some guns uncompable would make it very risky, but given how often VDMing and RDMing happens, i feel it would give more of a headache to the masses in the long run.

If it comes to also negating the immediate escalation to weaponry - then like pendred suggested else where having delays in pulling guns out should make it better. Someone else suggested (i think cookies) the usage of automated /mes which would go in hard and be a great foundation for RP improvement too.

All in all, keeping the command is definitely fundamental but how its used and what goes on around/before the usage of that command is even more important and should be addressed for the "overuse" of comps is just a symptom imo.

  8. Instead of relying on physically typing or pressing binds for  "/me pats for wires, guns badges etc.." and manual/binded responses being /me has none. I propose utilising the same system cops use to check for medical injuries but for wires/badges/guns etc.

The current method has potential ways of being semantically bypassing these checks despite being in possession of said items being looked for i.e "/me They find none" or people argue they havent /me looks.. in particular locations carefully which has happened in the past, but also relies on an honour system for the RP [which if used incorrectly can void RPs once they have progressed]

As it stands i don't believe the wires used by cops is a physical one but one that is invented and continued in people imagination (correct me if im wrong) but should one get added would further enhance the RP as there's a physical thing to search for.

But as recent suggestions are going onto 'enhancing RP' this suggestion should help. On the C menu you can have an option for "pat down" - it would begin with someone giving permission to be patted down; once accepted an out put of "[name] starts patting down [other persons name]' shows and after about a 5-10 second pat down you get a cue response of "you find nothing" or "you find a M1911"; "you find a radio, Glock 17, a wire" etc..

This further also reduces the demand and need of searching peoples inventory too - particularly during faction meetings/events etc.

Now you can spice it up a bit and perhaps make it a luck thing too where sometimes perhaps the person patting down may ''over look a specific place they're patting down'' and may incorrectly output a response "has none" despite the person having a gun, for example, but may be super rare or can be influence by being in recent fights/chases.

[but this can open up a can of worms where minges may just punch someone in order to shift odds eversoslighty in their favour so it would be wise to have checkers inside behind the main security 😛]

Now of course you could break this into a thorough pat down or a quick patdown but how that's achieved would need some thought.

What do yall think? Just some food for thought.

Repair kits can currently be used while driving, but the whole process, including the /me of opening the hood, is completely unrealistic for repairs while driving. If you're chasing someone (as a police officer or even just to chase them), they can constantly spam repair kits while driving, making it impossible for their vehicle to break down. Combine this with the people who buy full armor, and you're never catching them.

I think repair kits just need to be used while being completely stationary, like how dissecting a body works, I mean, shit. Can't even move your mouse, or it'll cancel.

This could reduce the amount of cop baiting/vehicle minging you see every day and might even have to deal with, and it wouldn't even change anything.

As much as I am reluctant to agree that this is clearly a bug and that yes, it gives you some breathing room in chases... you are such a snitch man!!!!

Then if the reasons were legitimate, I want to know what they were.

Can be as simple as saying the wrong thing to the wrong person, bringing heat, causing unnecessary beef or mingery lol..

Joining up to any faction, you're fair game to anything getting you killed internally... regardless of a minor or serious reasoning.. even if the PK was a mistake tis stands unfortunately.

    My reason is beyond cringe.
I’m getting toward being an old fucker- nearing middle age.
Roleplaying in an era I was alive in a part of the life I’ve never experienced provides me a unique mix of typical roleplay escapism meeting a strange nostalgia for my years growing up in an Italian-American family from Newark/Camden.
    That world doesn’t exist anymore.

So when I see groups of Europeans standing by their traditions and engaging in cultural hegemony even though they’ve assimilated best as possible into the USA streets, and I experience each season in this strange imaginary throwback world, I get an awesome sense of wonder for a life I never could live mixed with an odd nostalgia for a life I did live as a child.

I just wish we had the towers. I remember seeing them in the skyline as a kid and I remember the first time I saw the skyline again without it. RPing the NYC life in Southside has been a strange ride for me. I’m sure my situation is uniquely cringe/nerdy but maybe someone else can relate even just a bit. The coziness of the winter map and Christmas time is a great example of the fuzzies that be hitting.

Each have their own reason but I appreciate and respect that you gave yours out. 🙂 It does sound like an unique experience so hopefully it goes well for you.

+1 hes literally on a minge char beefing with someone of a rival faction, bans also way to long compared to other punishments. Is it RDM yes, he did not follow proper escelation, but there are external factors that need to be taken into account.

Damn who would've thought 'Tunde be dropping truth bombs and facts?

good idea, obv saves time- but the drug system is already gamified enough. if anything we need a way to make it more interactive not less

not that clicking 10-20 times is riveting gameplay

With the amount of clicking people who grind do and aside from improving QoL, this will improve the life span of your mouse too
