Okay sure if you get mugged by whiteshirts, it becomes incredible difficult to find out who they are with very limited information, especially if they're masked up [...remember street smarts? your gut should be yelling at you at this point if a whiteshirt is following you masked up].

 

White shirts also dont pop out of no where... if you're a target, they've either been scouting you for a short while and you just didnt perceive them, or they're driving around in a late 2010s hyper car and just hot drop on your ass. 

At this point prevention, ICly, is the biggest thing that can help and Street Smarts.

Everyone loves Howie, I think he's a great dude, and I know that he is capable of good RP, and I also believe that he probably has better judgement than most people entrusted with being staff. On the other hand, I can't give a strong +1 here because most of what I see you do is minge or at least minge-spectrum activity; most of what I see from Howie is trying to get a ruse out of people, copbaiting, and generally other mingey activities. I have had good times with Howie, but being likeable doesn't excuse the reality of what he does here, I think the mere tolerance of serial minges is a step that has turned Diverge closer to DarkRP than was ever intended, and if we make anyone who minges on a constant basis staff, we might as well merge communities with TitsRP.

That is a fair concern I'd say a few people share with you especially if you're judging me based on how I used to play. I do not pretend that i've never made any mistakes or pushed boundaries in the past. The difference is that I've made a conscious effort to improve, and I think my recent conduct reflects that. B

As staff, I'd be expected to enforce the rules consistently, including on myself. If i would be staff, it would not hide my history or pretend it didnt happen; infact it would be the contrary, i'd be thoroughly locked in and any minor misconduct would give staff a reason to boot me off and put the nail in the coffin with my time here.

I'd expect to be held accountable just like anyone else and have been held accountable for these actions. It wouldn't be fair to assume I'd ignore rule breaks because of things I did over half a year ago or year(s) ago. Btw it would only be hypocritical if I actively kept doing these points you mention.

My main one was for the defiling apart as that's what prompted me to make this, the rest of the points I just added on the fly.

You can see someone clearly see who is cuffing someone so it doesnt really make sense for that.

When it comes to eating too, i think having the freedom to do your own gives to the RP a lot more then forcing a preset.

However, i do agree with the defiling, i think anything that cant be seen and would need to be seen for legal rp for example should have a automated /me bound to it.

i also agree to add a /me for restraining since this can be used from just the context menu with no real pointers of whos doing it, currently with how it works you have 0 idea who attempted to tie you when your in a crowd and i think thats a little bit silly

What is your motivation/reason for applying?: 

*My motivation in applying is to be apart of the staffing community to take a more responsible position within the community and help in safeguarding the city, teaching people and be more involved from a staffing point of view. In addition I am hoping through staffing to end up as a GM to facilitate events and provide service to the community this way too.

In addition, I believe having such a responsible role will help me further develop translational skills and help in giving back to the community who have mostly been loving, patient and accepting of me. I enjoy my time on diverge and hope others enjoy my presence. I spent a lot of time in the server and community consistently for the past few years and want to start a new chapter here to help out and give back.

I am also applying to ask for an opportunity and chance to prove myself to the community and seniors that I can be entrusted with such responsibilities and be just.

Lastly, I want to collaborate with other staff members and be apart of the team that fulfils it's duty and service to the community. If i didnt take this server or gamemode seriously, I would not be here right now writing this application or, heck, be apart of this community at this very moment.

Why should you be considered over other candidates?: 

*I would say I am more mature person and have developed a rapport with significant amount of active people throughout the server, I enjoy spending time with players and hopefully it's the same with them. In addition, I've experience all over the city whether it's being a senior figure in law, policing or criminal factions all the way to being a homeless bum.

 

I would say I am more just and know what's wrong when it is wrong, allowing me to be a dependable, accountable and responsible person - especially knowing when I stepped over a line and am okay to take that punishment or enforce it on others [i.e conflicts between people IC]. I believe I'm good at approaching different types of people which would fair well in this role as you'd deal with many people [serious people, real minges who dont give a crap about their actions, timid people who aren't sure or clear as to what they want etc]. I am someone who can be diplomatic in their approach to a situation or, when needed, assertively.

Knowing where the lines are, I can be effective at my job whilst being fair and able to explain my self and actions; ensuring I wouldn't overstep my remit in my position as staff. I believe i'd work well with other staff members, being open to improving myself and taking suggestions [as people would have seen given my past record and how I apply it].

Spending quite a while as a judge, in a role which you CANNOT be corrupt whatsoever, I have sentence many friends away behind bars and given them criminal records; I aim to be as unbiased as possible, especially with an integral position of power. The same applies to the latter when putting someone who openly dislikes me behind bars/convicting, they are treated fairly regardless of their views of me etc. Fairness and justice are essential.

As someone who in the past broke a lot of rules, I would say I have a good understanding of them - allowing me to be in this city after being given (many) chances after having learned to follow them and abide. Most importantly, I'm someone willing to learn and improve, having improved many relations with players across the server and my LARPing skills etc. I also have staffing experience, so I believe I can hit the ground running and have a good foundation to develop on further to meet  the needs of the staff team and the community.

Lastly I believe I can join the team and be a good and approachable team player. I take this more seriously than people would mind to think.

Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long):

I do, I used to staff on various Minecraft servers (which LONG have shut down back in the 2010s, having roles of Moderation, admin to head admin), owning one at one point. I was also community manager for Lockdown SCP:SL RP. As well as old GMOD which have also closed down a while ago: LuckyDucky servers - Mod ; My own DarkRP server - Owner and im sure others I cannot remember. Aside from SCP:SL i havent staffed since the mid 2010s. But for the interest of this question and confirming names, let's say I just have community manager experience for Lockdown SCP:SL - having about a year in that position before moving on and owning a GMOD server back in the day.

Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?:

Yes, many a times. To which I would like to thank the community in giving me chances after chances to change, and hopefully you have seen and felt it. My experience within the community has significantly improved and through these bans I've learnt to appreciate the community, the people within and the fun to be had on the server.

Most of my bans were RDM related. With the occasional trickle of other stuff like mic spam etc, last one being powergaming in janurary [couldn't disprove as i didnt clip my view to exhonorate me.. took it on the chin].

Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: 

*I would say I am well known with a positive reputation. Whilst some would still despise me for being a minge/king minge; I will say in recent times of many months to a year, many have turned a new page with me and I would like to say it is going very positive in terms of their experience. You cant please everyone or make them like you, but I will say majority of the plays hopefully view me positively as i'm someone who makes RP happen spontaneously, have fun and do crazy stuff whilst also have engaging conversations. Sure I can be annoying to some at times, but eh... who isnt at times!

What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?:

Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?:

Leave it to the other staff members who are on duty, whilst communicating with them If they got it or if they need help. If they are unable to, I would complete whatever RP situation I am in and find an appropriate time to switch to take the ticket and respond to it.

You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: 

Collect evidence and Let a more senior staff be made aware via staff report ticket/discord etc. (Though if it's UA.. then I'd probably watch and laugh at what is transpiring unto the poor souls.)

A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: There is definite possible bias. I would let other staff members handle it / deal with the ticket with me not being involved in any way shape or form, unless strictly necessary . If other staff staff are unable to deal with it. I would deal with it in an unbiased manner and enforce the rules upon them with bans, notes etc regardless if they're friends or not. Have to be fair and just in upholding the rules regardless.

No better roleplay than blindfolding and gagging someone! Being able to blind and gag someone seems like such a great idea, I know that being blinded and gagged during 30 minutes of RP would surely make me want to play on the server more! 

Perhaps if there's a cooldown/limit on how long someone can be gagged.

 

I.E

"you are now gagged 30 seconds..." and cannot be reapplied - only once per restraint.

After 30 seconds: "You manage to break out of the gag"

Greetings diverge staff and friends. its been a good 4 months now since I've last had the privilege to walk the diverge streets, I'm gonna be honest I miss it more than I thought I would. you don't realize it until its gone but diverge is kind of like an escape from real life where you get to be your own person and do your own do, a place where you don't gotta act normal and let your true personality out.

Why should you be unbanned?

I could fight all the bull shit in why I was banned and call byte all sorts of mean names like I did in the past. however i'm above that now I just wanna play my favorite game again after work with my buddies. I want the opportunity for a fresh start I turn 19 tomorrow and it would be sick to be able to play diverge again.

no other server compares to diverges uniqueness and I rarely use my pc anymore if i dont get unbanned im thinking about selling my pc and just getting a xbox or sum shit.

Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: Was being arrested, someone who had my F3 came and tried to save me; they engaged cop in a shoot out and in the process I got hit by him and hospitalised. Was being dragged by cop, so was pulled into line of fire - guy shooting states he had the common lag/freeze spike when pulling out a gun and shooting. So during this altercation got killed, pulled into a sit and PKd with the other guy and cop there. Boom did ask if the cop wanna PK me and cop said he didnt and I caught the chops. 

For the record, didnt ask the guy to kill me as I know that typically leads to PK, think the poor guy had quite the unfortunate lag/aim issue that caused this to happened. I couldnt move out of the way :')

If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines: I got a clip - could the staff member that's reviewing it DM me and i'll send it to them thank youu

Hi. Human Genome Project has no relevence to Forensic DNA Analysis; though its advancements and mapping allowed research progression of more improved tools and techniques for DNA analysis that was used in forensic DNA. The first use of Forensic DNA used to convict in the USA was in 1987.

Around 1988 FBI started adopting and looking into Forensic DNA. Wasnt until like 1993-4 DNA Identification act came out 

Sure Forensic DNA wasnt as sensitive as it is now, but it was still a useful tool. But whilst I agree it is 1990 and being too heavily reliant on DNA is too early; it is still a tool useful to have that can supplement a case for both prosecution and defence; it isn't end all be all.
