What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I've noticed a pretty big shortage of staff as of recently, and I really don't like the response times personally. Staff is pretty good in general, I really don't have serious qualms, it's just that tickets take around 20 minutes for a response minimum. I feel like that kind of degrades the roleplay experience when somebody who was long meant to be dead or banned for stupid things is still going around and doing things relevant to the problem they created. I've been cop a lot, and recently it hasn't been super busy, so I feel like I could solve the issue for other people at least while I wait for my turn to be addressed, or until I finally need to be in character. I also think it's the right move to fix my name and contribute to the server at the same time, getting rid of inherent and ridiculous troubles, immediately. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I don't really associate with the mob on any character, so I've really got no bias for any faction; I mind my own business and make money, I'm happy with that, and I've not had to deal with a Don in a long time. HOWEVER, that does not mean I don't understand the gravity of a character's impact. I know well what can and should end up killing somebody, or saving their life, based on how many times I've died myself. I've also got a lot of time on this server, and I generally behave myself; sometimes I make stupid character decisions or mistakes, but those are in character issues; out of character, I do my best to ensure I'm not breaking the rules, even if it means I'm sacrificing potential in character gains or leaving a problem behind that I potentially can't fix. I know my reputation is based largely around my cop character, but I've since improved significantly both behaviorally and mentally; I was letting things get to my head back then, but now I know what not to even bother with. (Please list where, what position and how long): Werewolf (3 weeks, shutdown), Phantom (2 weeks, shutdown), A fallout nutscript server I forgot the name of (LONG TIME, 1 week), Modified Gaming (2 weeks, fired, rehired for 3 days, quit), Historia (about 1 month, shutdown, reopened, 1 week, quit) Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: I've been banned for a good bunch of things, especially stupid things; some of them are RDM, in fact I'm pretty sure most of them are, and I think there's one from ancient times that I was banned for LTARP. These are very old bans, though. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I think that I'm kind of half and half, closer to the being liked side of things than being hated, but still a decent 60/40. I built a lot of cool stuff for people, like circus tents and rides, gambling setups, sold dupes and relaxed on my main character from time to time. I'm much more well known as a cop with a very bad history of killing, but I did my best to fix that reputation and now people generally respect me(?). What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: Probably PD trainings or selling a lot of oil on rockefeller to somebody without a coupon Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: N/A ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: Clip, and then wait for a ticket to be made; if the person who got RDM'd is clearly AFK, I would go on my staff char and ask the person through /pm why they shot/killed that individual. If I recieve no response or a stupid answer, I would pull them to a sit and address the problem. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would be quiet about getting the report to another staff member whose responsibility it is to deal with such problems, like a community manager or staff manager. I would also ensure that I have clipped this, or provided the necessary logs. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would check this person's notes and logs to ensure that this is in fact a rarity and not just poorly responded to. If I am afraid it can be perceived as bias across characters, I will ask another staff member to take the ticket or for permission to handle the situation. I would probably ask them to tell me what to do after being given the details, so I'm not necessarily the brain as much as I am the hand.

Rough Idea: Have rarely seen this feature used, but maybe increasing the availability of bail and revamping the bail system could help counter frustrations of people sitting in jail, waiting weeks for a trial. Allow them to be released while waiting for their trial with limitations such as a semi-permanent attachment to their character like an ankle monitor set by staff until the trial date or a different coloured name above their head to help police monitor people on bail. An idea to make bail more readily available could include the process being entirely done through discord and google docs/forms without either party having to be in the city, using a format similar to the name changes (Name, Proof of payment...). Once the courts receive the funds they will add a note to a channel similar to the #name-changes, showing that the person has paid and are allowed to be released on bail so staff can remove them from the state pen faction and return them to the one they were in prior. The bail could be paid by a third party (typically the faction they're apart of), and the bail will be refunded back to the account which paid them when the person attends the trial, if the person doesn't show up to court, the party that paid bail will not receive a refund and will be entitled to PK the person on bail. This could open the door for new bail bond companies that can profit of this system, along with making the court process (trials) more enjoyable, without having to spend weeks locked up in a cell.

I understand the sentiment but this suggestion doesn't really do much. You're saying 'make this better' but then you don't suggest an alternative or identify slowdowns. Certain aspects of the court system can maybe be integrated. automated or optimized on a script side, which is planned to-do, but what are the actual slowdowns outside of 'the people that volunteer their time to do the courts took long because they are juggling 20 other cases and their real life' A time limit is ultimately the other real suggestion but that will just force default judgments and people dont like that / always complain when that happens.

if jailtime goes by years to minutes, then wtf is the actual server progression? because if i remember right, every year is a new year.... Last year it was 1988, now its 1989, so what does that mean we actually passed a thousand years? ...... There's time limits in every court case, but its very hard to coordinate as a judge to have two parties, and most of the time 4-5+ people per trial all get on at the same time. You are severely un-educated on the matter, respectfully you're just wrong lol.l
