What do you do?: I would collect evidence of that staff member abusing then open a report on that member for abuse without directly confronting them. Does it constitute possible bias?: Before everything, id hear both side's of the story then continue onto the evidence (logs, clips etc) just because someone doesn't break rules when I'm around doesn't mean they won't break rules when I'm not around. Once I review the evidence I would take appropriate action on the friend depending on if the evidence is lacking or not. Certain server rules regarding raiding, item transfer between characters, and the creation of mugging characters were unintentionally broken. Why should you be unPK’d? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: After speaking with staff and reflecting on the situation, I now understand the mistakes I made. At the time, I thought I had a good grasp on the server’s mugging and PK rules — I’d been asking people around me questions because I genuinely wanted to learn and stay within bounds. However, I now realize several key things I misunderstood: • I gave my friend (Andre Dupont) a shipment of guns from my main character, Alisio Ramano, just to help him out. I wasn’t thinking about using any myself at the time, but later, when I made Lucien Dupont, I ended up using one from that shipment. I now realize that still breaks the rules on character separation and item sharing, even if it wasn’t intentional. • I didn’t realize that creating a character solely for mugging (Lucien) is considered Fail RP, since it avoids consequences that a main character would face. • I was also unaware that the raid timer applies to groups, not individuals. When we lockpicked two motel doors, I mistakenly believed it was fine because we were doing it separately. • Lastly, my friend (Andre Dupont) never shot anyone during the situation. He was simply following me around because I had told him I knew what I was doing. He trusted that I understood the rules, and I now see that I unintentionally led us both into breaking them. While we talked in VC about the idea of trying out mugging before creating the characters, there was no metagaming during the RP itself. I fully accept responsibility and now understand how these actions negatively impacted the roleplay and broke server rules. That said, I’m not asking for the characters to be revived out of entitlement — I accept the PKs and the outcome. I’m writing this to show I’ve learned from the situation and that I’m serious about being a respectful, rule-abiding player in the community. I enjoy this server a lot, and I want to continue growing with it in the right way. Having a gun on safety is considered an idle threat. The individual who was pressing you for your name did the right thing by escalating properly, his gun was on safety and he didn't point it at you. If he pointed it at you, then retaliation could have taken place. Secondly, the beginning of this clip is quite strange to me - there are three of you moving around without saying a word, if you're in a discord call - please refrain from this when you are unbanned. I also highly suggest amending your clipping software to make sure that your voice is captured. Whilst it doesn't really make a difference here, context can play a pretty important part in some situations. I suggest you and your friend watch this video and read the rules on killing again. Hi I'm the person that banned you for RDM. I updated your ban to 2 days due to the fact that you got 3 notes within just the span of a couple weeks. Anyways he said "this is your last order" but he had no gun out. He then pulled his gun out because your friend probably said that he felt unsafe. It does look dumb but as me and the person reporting you demonstrated in the sit, having your gun on safety is a idle threat! Having your gun off of safety is a threat though. All of your notes in the short amount of time made it clear you don't understand what RDM is. As I said before you had 3 notes within a couple of weeks making it obvious that you needed a little time to learn what RDM is.

So your whole idea of bringing rp is to buy "very unique uniforms, pins, and vehicles." So, no actual intention of promoting Russian-based rp that will show how unique and different you guys are to the rest of the server. "We are right now working on expanding our knowledge to give that Russian feel to the server and making a more unique faction then most ever see." If you are only now looking into knowledge of russian rp it seems you had no intention of actually focusing on roleplay and instead rushed things because you wanted to run a faction. This just seems like a desperate attempt to power grab into the server. I understand you have been a former HC of a certain faction, whether or not that was top 3, I will not know; however, that doesn't mean you will know how to run a faction from nothing. Again just seems like a faction that doesn't know its identity and will probably change to some other nationality after 6- 8 months.

Events are an important feature in any Garry's Mod Roleplaying server. Whether that's DarkRP, MilitaryRP or MafiaRP, they play a key role in maintaining player engagement and overall boost the entertainment of the server. Currently, gamemasters do exist in Diverge, but the position is extremely limited to staff members. While I do understand the safety precaution behind this, possibly altering a few permissions, requirements, and releasing it to the general public could fix the lack of events in the server. I hold previous experience being a player, a staff member, and a gamemaster in Diverge, aswell as other servers. When it came to having a preference between them, I found that I liked being a gamemaster more. Doing things like planning events, coordinating attacks, and creating chaos while not worrying about ticket count felt rewarding and relaxed. There are also a lot of players that share the same values of creating better roleplay, but don't want the same responsibilities of the average staff member. However, these kind of permissions can't be given to any average person. Gamemasters should understand server dynamics, the roleplay style UA looks for, and how the server works. I'd recommend listing specific requirements such as outstanding playtime, good/realistic ideas for events, clips of good roleplay scenarios they were in, etc. It can be just like the moderator application, but more in-depth (The gamemaster application staff uses would be a good base). I always found gamemaster requirements to be a lot more difficult than moderator, as a gamemaster could MAKE OR BREAK the experience of a player. Example(s) of this include: > Making playtime requirements upwards of three weeks to a month minimum. To add on from what I've said before, I felt as I got the best grasp of server dynamics when I was close to a month playtime. I also believe making it a longer playtime requirement could restrict applications to more trustworthy/committed players applying. > More long answer questions. People applying for gamemaster should be more than capable of typing a few paragraphs with clear ideas and good grammar. > Critical thinking/problem solving. Listing situations on where events could go wrong, and seeing an applicant's thought process on how to roleplay a "fix" could prove itself useful. There can also be alternatives for overall permissions given to gamemasters. They obviously shouldn't be able to punish anyone by any means outside of basic kicks (in case of minges that involve themselves too much in an event). The admin spawn menu can also be very limited, unless a certain ranked staff member+ does a togglable ingame command to allow more free use of it, which can prevent any abuse/exploiting.

If you want to become a game master then you can apply for staff and then apply for GM. The standards for neither are not unreasonable. Unfortunately the permissions that come with being a GM mean it's not something we can just dish out without you first being a member of staff. You could very easily be a GM main as a staff member and fulfill the 20 tickets a week requirement just from tickets related to your event. Although this wouldn't mean you're exempt from other staff obligations. If you want events for you or your faction, there are a number of current Gamemasters who will happily arrange that for you. Just open up a UA ticket in Discord.
