What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I want to help be a part of the betterment of the server's roleplay through staffing, whether that be helping people with general queries or dealing with rule breakers. Additionally, I am GMT timezone which is often light when it comes to staff, I hope that I would be able to help with this issue providing a staff member at times where there may be few or none. Finally, I want to be a staff member that is approachable from anyone in the community who can be contacted for any queries about the server. * Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I feel like I should be selected over other candidates because I have prior staffing experience with a heavy focus on Nutscript which would allow for fluidity when it comes to the understanding of commands and other things that come with staffing on diverge. I believe that with this previous experience, I was able to maintain a professional staffing image when it came to both sits and general roleplay standards when I was not on my staff characters, I hope to translate this key skill to Diverge if I am successful in applying. Moreover, I think my timezone is another strong suit when it comes to my application for staff, I will be able to provide support to players in a time which is often overlooked due to the lack of EU staff. Finally, I want to go into staffing on Diverge with no bias, something that I think is often ignored when it comes to certain staff members, I want to treat all players equally regardless of alliance or faction. * Do you have any previous staffing experience? If so, why?: I was banned once prior for metagaming, a joke was taken out of context in a group chat which resulted in my ban. Despite feeling that this was unjust, I acknowledge that I was wrong in saying what I said and have learnt from my mistake. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I don't think I am too well known in all honesty, I believe I am well known within my alliance and with this recognition I believe that I would have a good reputation with those that do know me. I do troll a bit in diverge general which could affect my reputation however I do this with no ill intent but with only humour that some may not get as they are often inside jokes with select members of the community. * What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: I enjoyed a lot of the Callaghan Clan roleplay, they offered a decently fresh sense of roleplay, they had a great amount of roleplay that went into each scenario whether it was their bar or their making ceremony however i enjoyed my first hit which took place on the barge. Have any staff members recommended you? Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I would clip the situation and ask another staff member to bring me to a sit, this is due to the fact that I wouldn't want to take my own ticket. I would provide the staff member the clip and let them deal with it by their judgement. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would clip each instance, gather the evidence and provide it to UA by making a staff report listing each infraction. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would attempt to not take the ticket if it was a friend / faction member because I think no matter the verdict, some bias would be accused - my hope would be that another staff takes the ticket however if unable I would take the ticket and proceed with no bias, ensuring that I treat both parties as if they were people I had no connection with.

What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I have been back on the server for a while now and really enjoy it. I like moderating and did it a lot in the past. I think this would be fun and also I’d like to help. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I have a lot of experience on this server and have been around for a bit now. I also have experience staffing in the past. Since coming back, I’ve come to know the rules quite well to avoid any punishments. I’m also PR trained. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): Yes, but my more prominent positions were over a couple years ago and I genuinely don’t remember all the names. I haven’t played many other servers than Diverge after I joined. But they do consist of UA PoliceRP where I was an admin and other PoliceRPs where I was higher up in staff as well. I was also a moderator here 2-3 years back. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: Yes. Four times. Twice for item transfer over 2 years ago. Once for a PD Raid 2 years ago. But if I’m the only staff on, I think it’d be appropriate to take the ticket and be unbiased.

What is your motivation/reason for applying?: As the server currently stands, the roleplay is in the trashcan. I am applying to be an absolute dick about the rules and RP. As of now people run around abusing cars, talking ooc, minging, etc all facing little to no punishment. As a staff member I am going to be an ass and a minority of people are going to hate my type of enforcement. I was not a very good staff member the first go around as my intentions werent in the right place. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I have tons of experience on diverge networks, at this point I believe I have experienced almost every sort of roleplay you can have the server. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: Back when I was a senior associate my Don forced one of our made guys to kill his IC wife for betraying the family. Being involved in that hit was insane the emotions were definitely high and when the job was done the face-off between the guy and the don was crazy. Have any staff members recommended you? You ever heard of the saying If a tree falls in the forest and no one’s there to see it happen did it really happen? if a gun is shot in downtown New York and no cop technically saw a gun or a flash or anything did it really happen? did he really witness the crime or just hear one from across the street. He would have had no idea where the gunshots came from if he wasn’t abusing a render disntance exploit.

Because it's not designed in that manner to intentionally consider the need to have obstructed view. Otherwise it simply would not be a window. All windows are considered transparent and if players intend to obstruct them then they must use a prop to block it or find a different place to perform their activity. I think the only way the argument to void works here is if the window was the only factor, but it's not, and given the other circumstances in the thread even without the window there's still plenty of the elements that allow the RP to continue imo.

+1 As long as it’s like Graal or RuneScape or whatever and a character limit is imposed on what pops up overhead, with the rest of the text showing in the box. Short enough text will appear overhead but long text gets cut off with ellipsis and the whole message goes to the chat box like normal. /me will show up as just regular text and anything typed and said regularly shows up with quotations. Could be nice, but could get cluttered along with descriptions and everything else. At least consider it and see a proof of concept? I know other RP servers do this and it apparently works well on Gmod.

Not AI. Not copypasta. Seems young and young people can make leaps and bounds when it comes to personal change in short periods of time. So can grown adults, but with kids it can really shock you out of nowhere. Thanks for an actual discussion here. Wouldn't that imply that even if it wasn't properly blocked or even blocked at all, using footage through invisible blinds be false evidence? If the blinds are part of the map (which I have really tried to stop pop in so if you know how, let me know) it disappearing and using that as evidence with a zoomed in cropped shot seems unfair regarding roleplay if the blinds are there to begin with. At that point, why have the blinds at all?
