This topic is brought up and answered weekly at this point - as Monaclu said, there is not a huge amount staff can do without people making tickets, bringing up OOC in IC voicechat, bringing up blatant minging, etc. OOC rumours are punished with mutes and notes essentially every time now, from what I've seen. I don't really see how talking about factions is OOC, either. When we active staff it's easy to catch failnames and that's kind of it - Everything else is just dependent on being in the right place, right time. If you see something and it's a rule break, make a ticket. You also gotta have some appreciation for the fact that every staff member applied for staff at a base level due to their enjoyment of the server - We all have stuff to do on our characters and like to play on our RP chars - We assist in the moderation of the server at our own accord and are already given minimums to uphold - If your tickets are being answered I can't understand why you're annoyed it's 'by the same 2 or 3 staff members'

I just make cum tributes to their characters and DM the picture of it to them, that usually makes them stop

Point 1. I dont even know who you are, you dont know my RP lol just cos you see me around and do my thing doesn't mean you know shit lol - but you'd be surprised if you did know my RP. Yeah its a known problem - there's already talks and suggestions about implementing flag removals from rumour for those who misuse it. Point 3. That is an inherent "problem" particularly with very serious RP factions. Stand still for 20 minutes, pick up a shipment, wait for cool down and order another shipment and repeat until a deal happens or some random encounter/drama event. It's boring. And they know it too. Nothing they can do about it because "im gonna get in trouble for it if my character has some fun cos i gotta be professional". So what do people do about this? Make alt chars and fuck around on that - there are MANY... and i mean MANY... HC/Dons/MC I can name who made alternative characters/use old retired characters to fuck around with as "minges" cos they cant with their mains or because they're bored af... and this feeds into the problem. Few are stupid enough to make Alts and power game events and situation with their main chars enemy/disliked factions to stir beef. *cough cassano* *cough bonnano*. A lot of people get burnt out and need breaks regularly because this game is just a part time job (full time if you're a HC). You LITERALLY pay tax weekly... in a game.. and the prices aint cheap in many places. And if you dont you get wacked lol. Sure "its easy to make 100k" - but good luck sustaining that in the long term without relying on custom clothes/cars to sell, or underlings to grind for you. (unless you bring something unique to the faction where you can negotiate not paying taxes by taking up other responsibilities like being a lawyer etc). And guess what - it isnt fun after a while (the whole reason we play...) and is a burden/chore... Point 4. Yeah... Metagaming is quite the issue.. i see it too and its not a good thing. Radios exist for a reason people :C but this is more so not for regulars but ACTUAL MINGES who come here to fuck around with NITRP. Point 5. Elaborate more Point 6, Good luck with that. Ironically I expected heat on the cars people drive too, which are mostly not from within the current era.. this isn't a problem lol you just have a different taste. Point 7. Good luck "forcing" anyone to do anything. They paid for it they can do whatever they want. And a lot of places seem dead during the morning/evening but when its night time/late morning they come alive and vice versa when people aren't on to see it, then said people complain afterwards. Point 8. Each factions have different RP standards, now whether its a good one or not... up for debate. It happens Each faction has their niche and Its nice, a place for most people who RP/play the game different and frankly I assure you, if the entire city RPd like commission factions, the server would die out swiftly out of sheer boredom, lacklustre progression and natural conflict/tension and if there is conflict/tension - its gay af. You joined 6 months ago and I dont know your play time during these 6 months, but these issues are not a new thing lol. You haven't seen shit lol.

We have changed those names already even when they are names that have been there for awhile such as jimmy loosehole his name was changed months after his character was created if you see any minge names or overall rule breaking please make sure to make a ticket in game so staff can handle it, also that's a whole other can of worms about dudes with female player models

Which is completely opposite than I observe. I rarely ever see yoon, maybe once? We have had 7+ active over course of few hours each day a couple times for the past weekish. Had 14 on a Wednesday Thanksgiving eve

The only active person ive seen in decav to this day is Yoon who is the least serious person I know.

Very rich. As someone who's been apart of a few factions apon joining this server, almost leaving because of the sickness of those in charge commonly - to find Decav actually interested in making a name for themselves by being decent individuals and all I've seen is commitment and RP out of these amazing folks. Luccheese or however it's spelt, has provenly used minge characters/tactics. While Decav is instructed to ignore and RP as usual. Decav isn't the punching bag it's a machine filtering the nonsense and building the servers playerbase by treating people like humans. Just getting old seeing that shit posted here lol.

Being a cop main this is so real. I can go through vast lengths to catch someone, get warrants, make docs and shit so their court case moves forward, just for the char to be deleted and remade with a slightly different name. It's to the point some cops don't even pursue it because there's an attitude of "what's the point". People making chars to felony max just to basically remake the character after the 20th time you kill him gets old. Obv felony maxxers gives patrol shit to do I suppose? But when that's the extent of the rp it gets old. It's not just Howard and genderswap (which is another can of worms) but a lot of people on that shit. Then onto people like Genderswap and the 90000 other people who either have female models with obvious masculine voices rping trans ppl or femboys or weird shit OR retarded names but are allowed to get away with it. I've seen a ton of people get forced to change their name to something reasonable but names like Genderswap and Loosehole/Tighthole and many more are okay to continue with their names. My first impression of names like that is "yeah they don't give a fuck about this character". Id be infinitely more okay with names like Dixon Cider or Buster Cherry than the aforementioned. Weird uneven enforcement. Kinda curious on your take. What factions are you talking about?

On the real note, we can't really judge or look in anyones agenda yk? We can't force them to be on. I get what you are saying if there would be low effort in tickets but then you can file in a staff report

Im not one to bitch about people having fun. Im more of the person to let people just live their lives, its gmod, i understand this. BUT 1. Constant minge chars with zero RP that talk ooc constantly. (wong, genderswap, etc) 2. People will talk about factions openly in rumours with no rp just literally ooc talk about factions and shit. 3. Large amounts of people standing in a group doing nothing (most of the time theyre in a discord call) 4. I see atleast 3-4 sets of people following each other very clearly using discord every single day. 5. Nobody ever gets in trouble for abusing factions or joining just to minge, their char just gets killed instead of a ban 6. Constant shit clothing that wouldnt even make sense on someone if they were insane let alone 1989. (king Baldwin mask, leanin suit, etc) 7. Nobody is forced to run their stores even if theyre paying taxes leaving alot of buildings just never open or doing anything. 8. Theyre are literally like 3 factions that are JUST for minging. My suggestion, get on your admins ass about fixing some of the problems, force them to spectate people really take the time to watch if people are breaking rules and start passing out punishments, its kinda insane that ill put a ticket in and its the same 2-3 admins taking my tickets but 8 are online doing literally nothing to help the server feel better. I'm sorry if this ruffles some feathers but I know very well im not the only one feeling this way. I joined about 6 months ago and just in that time ive seen a STEEP decline in peoples care for the rules because punishments aren't harsh enough. - someone who just wants to RP and is tired of clowns and trannies in my mafia gang server....

This on paper sounds amazing, but from someone who has owned a few gmod servers, this would 110% kill all very little optimization that gmod has. This sounds easy enough, esp for any game thats not lua but on gmod this would mean constant tracking of items for EVERY item, in real time, for 128 people all at the same time. Just so your glasses fit better, it just couldnt work on a game from 2004. Amazing idea if it was possible though, id be all for this. So very soft -1
