  1. Past hour
  2. now its more based on luck compared to luck and like no-life yk
  3. Thanks for the input, the suggestion only spoke to the diversity of faction relations(aka i get this product from X faction but the price of Y faction's product is better right now, i could reach out to them and start doing deals so I don't only sell X's product). I think this would promote RP in the long run, products spreading more widely and alliances made through the economy, not just petty feuds and egos. That being said I get what you're saying about employed people and people on different timezones (I am both of those things) and how they might not have the time to diversify but if you think about it, the current system isn't doing those people any favor either since it's completely random if the price is gonna be good when they can play the game. Using suggestion #1 would let those people get an idea of the current market, and if they've diversified their trade beforehand they have more of a chance to get a better profit. At least that's my opinion! That is true, there could be delays to the price changes added to give people a chance to "abuse" the market, but even if there isn't and the price fluctuation is somehow instant(which i don't believe would be the case) the person selling large amounts at a time is directly hurting his own profits by flooding the market with the product he's selling. Either way thanks for your time in replying to this, there's definitely flaws to it but it could lead to something good with the input of the community!
  4. That is a faction thing. They usually will have a channel for character backgrounds. In my opinion if it got added to the forums I doubt anybody would use to correctly or even at all, alternatively you could make a general discussion and label it “Character Backgrounds” and begin the thread with your own story and see if anybody piggy backs off of your idea.
  5. Ig? Not really a point to this as it doesn’t really align with anything else on the forums most factions have internal character story/description sections 50/50

    Ban appeal

Don't ERP. Your ban appeal has been reviewed and denied. We have determined this ban to be reasonable and/or justified. Ensure you have read our Server Rules.
  7. I'd rather suggest then to implemnt this via the new payphone system, you beep and it gives a hint its a high risk or low risk to sell, or just walk to the npc with product cause honestly what risk does it take when you're in the line of sight of the npc? absolutely nothing cause you can't get arrested for 'speaking with the npc'
  8. nah i don't really think this would be fair yk? the faction relationships are already good and it's very unfair for those who are employed or live in a different timezone, it would only benefit those who could sell a large amount of the hour in that moment
  9. Today
  10. Honestly, it makes sense. The NPC price update is just RNG shit at the end of the day. It didn't introduce any new RP, it's more of a gimmick in my eyes than a cool new feature, hence why it's normal for people to try and enhance it. Side note, this post inspired me to make a suggestion about the NPC prices that'll probably get looked at so thanks @El Chapo
  11. Simple suggestion, instead of prices changing randomly they should change according to market supply and demand. What this means is, the server's gonna keep track of sales for each NPC and the price of the products will change accordingly. Now, there's two approaches to this: 1) The NPC sales could be compared to one another, i.e product X has more sales than product Y so product Y has a slight increase in sale price while product X has a slight decrease. This will promote diversifying relations with different factions and trade partners to maximize profit. 2) The sale price could fluctuate acccording to the amount of sales for each NPC in a specific time window (wether that'd be a number of days or up to a week will be left to Mr. Bacon's discretion.) i.e There's 20% more sales of product X this week, there's more of this product on the market, the price will inevitably drop a bit and vice versa. This route is an attempt to actually make something out of the current system that makes sense and isn't just RNG mumbo jumbo, instead of random changes in the price, the community controls the price(aka the people buying and selling).
  12. First of all, the characters weren't mugging chars. Did we mug on these chars? Yes. But we were genuinely making connections and making money running meth on supreme team. They were good side characters. If the character has to be main then I was misinformed by long time players on this server and that's my fault. I was told our characters had to have value to mug. "In your POV clip, all 3 of you approach at different angles, 1 is already on the scene and the other 2 (you and the old man) approach after with guns on safety. There's no communication between you guys, one guy initiates and you two just join in from across the street which already looks very suspicious in my eyes. In the 3rd clip there's a 4th guy that is just on the scene for some reason who appears to be on lookout? Not sure what he's looking for but okay. In the 5th clip there's a 5th guy who jumps down from the train tracks but there's still no radio communication. Then the 4th guy follows the 5th guy into the sewers after the shootout. 5 people involved in 1 mugging with each person appearing from a different area." How we set the mug up, we were stalking this dude because we had IC problems with him. Anything to do with the mug, we were deafened in discord. We knew what to do. We had people waiting on every side of him and were waiting for him to move. I wish I would've clipped it longer but didn't know I would need it. He was sitting on the railing for a while and that's when we made the plan to surround him. There were two dudes on lookout for precautions, one was on the tracks and the other was behind the dude who shot us. There was no communication to them OOC, they knew what was going down. We made the plan IC that whichever direction the guy starts walking, that's who will initiate the mug. The guy on the tracks and the other guy made their own choices to be there. I didn't even know he was on the tracks until after the fact. All we planned was to surround him and when he moves we're mugging. So when he started walking towards the guy, me and the other dude popped out to join because that was what we planned to do. I was waiting on the street across from townhouse 3. The guy who initiated mug was waiting by hula stash. The victim was sitting on the railing in front of the vendor across from rockefeller. Everyone had eyes on him, so when he moved we knew it was go time. Also, you can hear my boy un-deafen at the end of his death clip. "In the first RDM clip (the guy was punished for the multiple counts of RDM) you say "I just got killed" and then start speaking in game right afterwards. Then in the second RDM clip you're all talking in Discord and the guy in the clip mentions "yo I'm with the guy who just killed us" which was trimmed from the clip. I downloaded the full clip you sent @shy. Then some other person in your call says that they just got RDMed and someone else starts talking right after." I had already said that we un-deafened after we died from the fail mug because we didn't expect the RP to keep going. Everyone on this server is in a discord call, if that's considered meta then might as well ban VCs in Faction discords. We may have asked where at and saying that stuff but that shouldn't be considered meta if we're not doing anything with that information right? Like we're not using discord as a radio channel for IC stuff, we are just talking about the bullshit rdm that happened to us after the original scenario. We made sure to not act on any communication in the discord. We were trying very hard not to meta. But, when something unexpected like a mass rdm happens while we're un-deafened, it's hard to remember to deafen right away, especially when there's no RP involved. You can't use that clip as proof of meta during the mug or any RP scenario, especially when there's proof of being deafened during the actual RP. "The whole mugging situation seems very strange to me that 5 different people all appeared from multiple different places, no radio voice communication and no text chat over the radio? A lot of things aren't adding up. " Like I said before, we saw him chilling on the railing in front of the vendor across from Rockefeller. Outside the gun store is when we planned the mug to surround the dude and whoever's direction he goes in is who initiates the mug. So we surrounded him and everyone had eyes him to see when to go. I didn't even know where the other two guys were when it was go time. I legit had no clue one of them was on the tracks until I saw the clips. We've been trying to get this dude for a while. We were pretty well coordinated and I can't believe it got called meta gaming because of us talking in discord after our deaths. Mind you nothing happened or came from what we talked about when we got mass rdm'd. All we did was make a ticket and grouped back up. If it was just a mugging character, why would we care about a PK? Wouldn't we be happy we didn't get banned? These characters were not throwaways, and the dude who killed us in the mug can't 3rd party with no affiliation to the victim. Clip of Terry Smith being un-deafened in staff sit meta-gaming with no repercussions: https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/mRvNnHbfmkp0mcc_p?invite=cr-MSw2blcsNjUyMDA3NTUy&v=79 Meanwhile we got pk'd for being undeafed after a mass rdm
  13. Add a section in forums where people can give a background description of their characters.
  14. Wiretapping payphones is useless with the amount of people that use them, that's why payphones were used by criminals so much back when they were around. Maybe wear gloves or wipe them down after use and you're good
  15. Something like this isn’t bad. but, honestly, you guys are just getting lazy as fuck with these “QoL” asks.
  16. As a crim main who will never EVER play a cop outside of learning how the system works and then deleting it. (Which probably is against the rules so I’m likely never going to do it.) I think as long as there’s paperwork, it’s somewhat restricted (i.e. you can’t just idle around for half a day in plain clothes hoping to catch anything you can), and you still can tell it’s a cop when you get up close and see their name, there should be plainclothes detectives. I don’t know how it works now. Does it hide their name out of uniform? What ARE the restrictions that are so bad? You shouldn’t have your hands tied so badly that this is an issue we all agree on.
  17. Note: you can see my sweaty man titty as I had just finished curls when I snapped this. (Look closely in the mirror.)
  18. This is mine from when I was almost homeless and lived in a motel for 2 months after a sudden and bad breakup. Thanks, I didn’t wanna have to dig for this and upload it myself.
  19. My homie’s setup by the river/creek. That’s not his daily setup but that is an awesome rig for chillin and camping when there’s events and shit.
  20. NPC: *whispers* hey... it's time to sell... NPC: *whispers* hey... maybe don't sell...
  21. Sure even that, now about what the guy said about Wiretapped Phones you will just ask a Simple Question "What's the Price of Lasagna" and the LSD Buyer will respond immediately you will not ask him "What's the price of LSD" logically.
  22. Hi. I was the staff member who helped out with this situation. In your POV clip, all 3 of you approach at different angles, 1 is already on the scene and the other 2 (you and the old man) approach after with guns on safety. There's no communication between you guys, one guy initiates and you two just join in from across the street which already looks very suspicious in my eyes. Then the 4th guy follows the 5th guy into the sewers after the shootout. 5 people involved in 1 mugging with each person appearing from a different area. In the first RDM clip (the guy was punished for the multiple counts of RDM) you say "I just got killed" and then start speaking in game right afterwards. Then in the second RDM clip you're all talking in Discord and the guy in the clip mentions "yo I'm with the guy who just killed us" which was trimmed from the clip. I downloaded the full clip you sent @shy. Then some other person in your call says that they just got RDMed and someone else starts talking right after. 23. Name of Character: Joe King Character ID: Not sure how to view it he was PK'd SteamID: 76561199465830317 Your Discord ID#: frogass Date of PK: 6/6/26 Reason for PK: Staff believes we were metagaming during a mugging Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: Me and Alotta "Nitrodubz" Fachina were Pk'd on the grounds that we meta-gamed during a mug. However, we have clips from multiple perspectives showing us only talking in game and clearly deafened in discord. There was 5 people involved in the mugging on our side. All of us were deafened. The clip from the mug starting shows that there's no OOC communication between any of us, even the people who were watching from other angles. The reason staff believes it was meta is because one of the victim's friends RDM'd us after the mug, and in the clip of the rdm, you can hear us in discord talking. This is true, because we had all recently died, we were no longer RPing, we were talking to each other about what happened and reviewing the clips of what just went down with the mug. I don't believe that should be considered meta, because it was all completely after the fact of RP. One of my homies was tabbed out and standing still at the atm. If just talking in the discord OOC with no RP implications is considered meta, then all VCs in faction servers should be considered meta. Also, the guy who interfered in the mug did not know the victim being mugged. I believe there is a rule that this is considered vigilantism and is not allowed. They must have the victim's F3 or be in the same faction at least to interfere. Here's a clip of the guy saying he didn't know any of those guys, and he is not in the same faction: https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/mRl8udiHYTXhQiby0?invite=cr-MSxndW4sNjYyMTEyNTM The guy who RDM'd us was banned for a week for metagaming, but the victim of the mug, Terry Smith, was not banned even tho the staff that was helping us, Shyy, said he heard them in the call together thru Terry's mic. It was obvious metagame, but only one side was banned? Terry Smith walked away with nothing but he was metagaming as much as his buddy. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines: Clip of mug, my perspective: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18cxHScQO7chyvfbuKWxn5JyaQNLje3Ab/view?usp=sharing clip of mug, perspective 2 (you can hear him un-deafen after death): https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/mRksZ0ds6KPeN7fj4?invite=cr-MSxvWm8sNjUyMDA3NTUy Perspective 3 (idk why this codec makes the video black for me, regardless the audio is what's important. I can forward the clip on discord if needed): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sUm3XMgr42iZkgScfApYW6obwLGEJ_ni/view?usp=sharing Perspective 4 (I understand now this was a fail mug because of restraints and time to kill, all im arguing is it wasn't meta): https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/mRkv5WBwCW3pwt7vX?invite=cr-MSw1MGwsNjYyMTEyNTM Perspective 5: https://cdn.steamusercontent.com/ugc/17383767135989466122/146AAFCC2BBBB4BBF801BEF1081A59A4B5D333FF/ Clip of RDM after the mug: https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/mRkIU2O89lt6FKT_h?invite=cr-MSx0NXQsNjYyMTEyNTM Clip of RDM 2 (what was deemed metagaming): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OkUwWpsm_xMGtbZEVmiR0MAXprhhB7GZ/view?usp=sharing Note that in this clip this is completely after the fact and after roleplay, which is why we're undeafened. Just like any Faction VC in faction discords, we did nothing with the information we shared. All we did was make a ticket after the fact, nothing shared in this VC was used to give any advantage IC.
