Man is standing AFK in a sidewalk. Random guy he had interacted with earlier comes back to ATM on a public sidewalk. Man then does friendly wave, says nothing and the shooter says "how I can help you? why are you staring me?" (Can't look or wave at this guy apparently, must be a Don). Man walks in same direction as random player and Random keeps repeating "stop following me" like a broken child's toy. Oh did I mention this occurred on a public sidewalk by the way? guess this random guy has more privileges than others, must own the own the city or something. Anyways, Man continues walking in same direction at him, only doing a wave and not escalating or saying anything at all, simply literally waving and walking. Random then pulls a FUCKING SKORPION SMG and keeps saying "stop following me". Man defends himself, because remember, there's a FUCKING SKORPION SMG TO HIS FACE for walking on the same sidewalk. In real life, who would be the fucking nutjob here? The guy waving and following or the guy pulling a machine gun for the most low-level and zero violence involved prior to this interaction. Even though the Random came back from Lav Apts went past ATM to hardware, and then walked back to Lav apts again. vel0city you are designated most incompetent staff of server by me, the LEGEND. No seriously this is one the most dumb bans on this server. Vel0city DEI hire. -1 I'm unbiased, if this doesn't get appealed, this is setting a new standard for the nuances of RDM. Apparently we can't shoot platers who pull out machine guns, because you waved and walked towards them. This is starting to feel like Suburban RP or Hangaround City RP.

Hello, I'm the staff member who issued your punishment. When the player initially reported you, I brought you into a sit after reviewing the evidence presented to me. During this, you openly admitted to committing RDM. I considered your honesty and cooperation, which is why I thanked you for your honesty and issued a note rather than a harsher punishment and ensured the affected player was compensated. However, no more than five minutes later, the same player submitted another report, claiming that you had committed RDM again. Upon reviewing the clip, it was evident that you continued to follow the player despite receiving multiple warnings, which appeared to be an attempt to provoke or bait a reaction. When questioned about this during the second sit, you stated that you were responding to a radio call and heading to your apartment. Based on the evidence available, I did not find this explanation to be credible, and reviewing your side of the situation which you previously claimed that you did not clip, it is obvious that you lied to me in the sit and you were not called on radio to your apartment. Additionally, your record shows three prior punishments related to RDM, which further supports the decision to escalate the consequence in this instance. That being said, I do believe you were honest during the initial interaction, and it is possible that your actions were influenced by frustration after the earlier report made against you. While this does not justify the behavior, it provides some context to the situation, I would not have any objections to you being unbanned. Best of luck on your appeal.

This is crazy to see. Someone so active and who also produces so much to roleplay within the server through unique player-to-player interactions, be banned for 5 days without ban escalation. Whatever happened to the 1 day bans; and then if they didn't learn their lessen, upping it to a harsher punishment? I feel nothing but bad for Bic, he didn't even argue the fact that this dude randomly entered the area he was in. You can't just walk up to someone and tell them to get away from you . Then, because Bic is a goofy person, he followed the guy . I believe him when he says he was trying to whisper something in chat, because that's who he is. A Goofy guy . Needless to say, the guy actually RDMed Bic by failing to escalate his use of force as required by the rules. The guy continued to walk in the same direction of Bic, backwards, if anything the argument could be made in reverse. Was this random guy not baiting Bic into RDM? Why did he not change direction? Why was he not trying to get away from Bic, (i.e. running/sprinting/dodging), Why escalate to pulling a gun out on Bic? Too many variables, not justifiable to deprive someone from this mind melting experience. -> Admins should consider this appeal.

This guy is a legit player with a good history of just having fun. If anything was done wrong, it was a simple mistake. This guy takes the RP seriously. I don't vouch for a whole lot of people. But he IS one of them. The situation makes sence and I'd recommend giving him a chance. It is not a pattern.

The guy in the clip claimed I was following him at first, which he said as I was literally walking away (not only that but you can see him walking around for a whole minute while I was tabbed out). After he said that, I was planning to go up to him and whisper something random but he pulled the gun almost immediately. If he would have said something like "get away or im gonna kill you" or some valid threat, I would have just walked away. The only reason I shot was because I thought he would shoot first (guy seems like a minge to me). He made an in game ticket and I tried to explain that he pointed a gun at me, which I thought at the time is a valid reason to shoot back, but Velocity said it was RDM baiting (something I've never done nor do I tolerate). I could see how he would think that, and I don't think his reasoning was bad either. On his side of things, I rdm'd the same guy a bit earlier before the ban bc he was saying some very disrespectful shit to me and people I know. This led to me making the mistake of shooting him for no RP reason. I don't have many recent RDM PO's (only a 2 or 3 in the past eight months) reflected by the short ban I received. I would like to apologize for crashing out on this guy during my first interaction with him, it was unwarranted and out of the ordinary compared to my normal behavior. I should've left this guy alone but I really thought he was up to no good/minge-ing. My reasoning for making this appeal is to see what other people think of my second interaction with him and see if it really was RDM. I think this concern only really applies if the system is implemented as a simple steal car → press button → get money loop. That’s exactly what I was suggesting should be avoided. The whole point of the idea was to move away from consequence-free car theft and toward interaction-based RP with actual risk and requirements. If it’s just a marker you drive to, then yeah, I would agree that adds nothing. But if it's built around RP requirements instead of automation, then it actually reduces the kind of behavior you're describing because you can't just silently farm cars.
