Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): No clip, Fabricated.
Why should you be unbanned?

Grounds for Appeal

I am disputing this ban because the reports made against me contained deliberate falsehoods about the incident.

Both individuals accused me of wrongdoing while omitting the circumstances that led to the confrontation. My account is that they followed me from Blue Lobster toward the fighting arena, repeatedly assaulted me, threatened me, and continued pursuing me after I attempted to leave. I did not randomly approach and kill these individuals without cause.

During both staff sits, I disputed the accusations and explained my account of the events. However, I was not shown a clip substantiating the reports. Instead, the situation progressed to a ban, with my previous offenses also being brought into the discussion.

The reports misrepresented what actually happened, and I dispute the decision to characterize the incident as RDM. Previous offenses do not establish that the allegations in this particular case are true, and accusations should not be treated as established facts simply because multiple people make them.

I am requesting that the ban be reviewed based on the specific events in question, the contradictions between the reports and my account, and whatever evidence was actually available to staff when the decision was made.

I stand by my account of the incident.  I was falsely accused, and I am appealing this ban because the decision does not accurately reflect what occurred.

Hello! I'm the Moderator who issued your one-week ban, and I wanted to explain the reasoning behind the decision a little more clearly.

The first reason was the two separate RDM tickets that came in around the same time. Both players reported that you had killed them without a valid reason. Initially, these were treated as two separate incidents, as there wasn't anything connecting the reports at the time. However, after you were brought back to the Staff Room for the second sit, it became clear that you had killed both players during the same incident. This raised further concerns, as we were now dealing with multiple RDM reports rather than just one.

The second reason was your previous note history. Looking through your record, there were already several notes involving voice changers, RDM, and NITRP (No Intent to Roleplay). While having previous notes doesn't automatically mean you'll receive a lengthy punishment, they are something we take into consideration when handling new situations. A repeated history of similar issues can show that previous warnings or punishments haven't been effective.

Taking both of these factors into account, I felt that a one-week ban was appropriate. The decision wasn't based solely on the two tickets or your previous notes, but rather the combination of both. The goal wasn't to hand out an unnecessarily harsh punishment, but to address the repeated issues and hopefully prevent similar situations from happening again.

I hope this clears up why the ban was issued and gives you a better understanding of how I came to that decision. If you have any questions about the situation, I'm more than willing to explain further.

Thirdly, your ban histroy. Coming off a first week ban was also the indication you hadn't anything from the previous times before, which warranted a ban.

I appreciate you taking the time to explain your reasoning. However, I still disagree with the basis of the punishment, particularly how the two reports and my previous history were used to reach the decision.

Firstly, the fact that two separate RDM reports were submitted does not inherently establish that RDM occurred. Both reports originated from the same confrontation, involving the same two individuals. As I explained in my appeal, I was followed from Blue Lobster toward the fighting arena, repeatedly assaulted, threatened, and pursued despite attempting to leave the situation. These circumstances are central to understanding why I used my weapon.

Second, I also want to address the reliance on my previous notes and ban history. I understand that staff consider a player's disciplinary history when determining appropriate punishments. However, I believe there is a distinction between using someone's history to determine the severity of a punishment and using it to substantiate an entirely new allegation. My previous offenses do not establish that I committed RDM in this particular situation.

Third I find it concerning that the accusations made against me were treated as sufficient grounds for punishment despite my disputing their accounts and explaining the circumstances leading up to the incident. I maintain that their accounts misrepresented what happened, and I do not believe the fact that two reports were submitted makes those accounts accurate.

Ultimately, I am not disputing that two individuals died during this encounter. I am disputing the characterization of those deaths as RDM.

I would appreciate clarification on what specifically established that my actions violated the RDM rules, independently of my previous disciplinary history. I believe that is the question that needs to be addressed before the punishment itself can be justified.

I just want to emphasize how the initial first contact was made between me and these individuals. The two individuals approached people in the vicinity of Blue Lobster offering services related to ERP.I made a joke in response to what they said, which then developed into them beating me with their fists.

You are entitled to your opinon but my ban history isn't relevant to the allegations being put against me within this ban. The purpose of an appeal is to establish if a rule violation occured. Not to decide if somebody is should be permanently banned from the server, based on their reputation. Also the voice changer is a seperate issue from wether the shootings constituted RDM or not. Taking two different grievances & combining them together doesn't establish that the alleged RDM took place.
