Reason for ban: Powergame

Length of ban: 3D

Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): Dispute

Why should you be unbanned?: Because I never had any intention of forcing anyone into an RP situation they had no reason to be involved in

(What Happened?)

For the past 12 hours, I had been continuously playing on my Officer character, i was taking a random individual to the NYPD to arrest him for "Failure to Comply" when Lucri a Supreme Team member who clearly dislikes me and was repeatedly yelling at me started following me along with someone i didn't recognize at the time. Neither of them had anything to do with the situation/arrestment yet they followed me all the way to the NYPD for some reason which i dont have any idea of. While I was taking the original suspect inside, one of the individual from the crowd kept blocking my way to NYPD. I gave him multiple lawful orders to stop but he continued so I arrested him for Obstruction of Justice, after he spoke in the cells i realized he was Redeemer (someone ive recently had OOC issues with) His first response was
"I need a supervisor"

Luckily Big Boss Jamal Lee was online so i called him through RPD and he came to the cells, he first asked me "What the charge was and how the situation happened" After i explained everything he said "Yes, what he did is Obstruction of Justice. Let me speak to him, give me a moment" He then spoke to Redeemer privately for around 10 minutes, came back out, confirmed there was no issue with the charges and told me i could continue the arrest. I went back inside and asked "Do you want a plea deal or do you want to go to court?" He said he wanted to go to court, so i left the cell. As I was closing the door, he said "wait" so i opened the door again. He asked to see the plea deal again, so I offered him the same deal "Obstruction of Justice and Resisting Arrest - 10 years" He told me he changed his mind and said he wanted to sign a PLEA Deal instead of going to court. He then asked "Neither of these charges is a felony, right?" after that question i Alt Tabbed to check the [DV-N] NYC Central Hub Penal Codes and when i returned to the game i saw/realized that he had already signed the agreement which i offered him just 30 seconds ago so i just closed the cell door and sent him to prison through the NPC and continued my patrol RP

(Afterwards)
Around 30 minutes later, Ka1 pulled me into a sit and told me he believed i Powergamed???? the issue is that I never sought out any of these interaction. I was arresting a completely random person and minding my own business/rp when Supreme People inserted themselves into my RP and followed me for absolutely no reason. I never contacted, approached, or interacted with them in any kind of way AT ALL. Redeemer repeatedly obstructed me despite multiple lawful orders so obviously for that reason i charged him for the crime he was actively committing IC

Ka1 told me he believed I Powergamed because I had OOC beef with the guy, despite the fact that I had absolutely no idea it was Redeemer until he spoke in the cells. I repeatedly asked him what specific action in the situation made him believe i was Powergaming but instead of giving me an explanation I was met with responses like "Andy, you know what you did" "Andy, that's one of the worst lies I've heard recently"  "Andy, it's obvious you arrested him and tried to get him convicted because you have OOC beef with him"

When I asked Ka1 what the logic behind this was and what exactly i did that constituted Powergaming his response was verrry simply "go appeal, Andy" and banning me,
So Lemme get this straight, im arresting someone and taking them to the station two members of a faction I recently COUPED randomly insert themselves into the situation and start provoking me, one of them repeatedly blocks my path despite being given multiple lawful orders to stop so i arrest him for the crime he is actively committing and take him to the cells, he changes his mind about going to court at the last second and VOLUNTARILY signs a plea deal that makes him a felon and somehow im the one who Powergamed and forced him to get convicted or become a felon?????????????

(10.000 IQ Questions)
I haven’t received a single note in the past 6 months and i genuinely don’t even remember receiving a Powergaming note within the past year. I’m simply doing my own RP, people who insert themselves into the situation end up getting arrested because of their own IC actions and somehow im the one being blamed for it? Did I tell him to come block my path? Did I force him to ignore multiple lawful orders? Did I force him to change his mind about going to court and sign a plea deal that made him a felon? I genuinely cannot understand HOW THE FUCK any of this can possibly be considered Powergaming at all bruh, While watching the clip, id like to point out that despite already having my handcuffs out i continued verbally warning him instead of arresting him and i only arrested him after he once again got right in my ASS and obstructed me, EVEN THE FUCKING JAMAL LEE HIMSELF SAID THIS WAS OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE AND THAT I COULD PROCEED WITH THE ARREST AFTER LISTENING THE SITUATION FROM HIS SIDE😭
I've been at fault in situations before, but i genuinely believe i am 10000000% innocent here. I was doing normal RP, two people from my former faction followed me into it and one of them committed an IC crime. I arrested him for that crime he was commiting yet somehow im the one being accused of Powergaming?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I still have absolutely no idea why I was banned for Powergaming or which specific action I took that made them believe I forced him into an RP situation

I'd also like to point out that Redeemer is a former Detective and currently a Senior Officer meaning he should be fully aware of the charges and their consequences. They chose to mess with me alongside their friend out of nowhere and no reason and whether intentionally or not they ended up committing IC crime in the process. I genuinely don't understand how I’m the one being held responsible for the actions they chose to take. He specifically asked me whether the charges were felonies and before i could even answer him he signed the plea deal himself. I genuinely don't understand why y'all are acting like i held a gun to his head and forced him to sign the plea deal and make him a felon 😭 If I genuinely had any intention of Powergaming in this clip, why would I choose to do it to the guy who barely even said a word to me instead of the guy who was actually yelling at me, calling me a pedophile and disrespecting both me and my country?

Hello admin who banned you here!

Im going to start off with the situation, the arrest was not the issue, It was the way you handled in cells.  He asked you if the charges were misdomeaners, you crouched a few times (the universal yes). Thats where me and multiple other staff decided it is powergame.  Powergame is the forcing of RP on someone, you forced the RP of becoming a felon and decided to try and make him think that he wasnt going to become one. This was after you learned who he was.

Second, after you charged him with a felony you giggled about charging him with a felony, you knew what you were doing.

Third, I consider the last year for notes, which you do have a powergame note! 🙂

Fourth, as a staff we don't have to sit and argue for 20+ minutes in a sit, when we believe that someone has broken a rule, we can ban them and argue it out on forums!

Sorry for the late response, I was asleep. Good luck on your appeal!

Aight so im actually starting to think you're delusional and on drugs

First of all, yes, he asked me whether the charges were misdemeanors or not as i stated in my appeal already. After that question I alt tabbed to check the penal codes and confirm whether the charge was a felony or not so i can answer his question Mr Kai, Once i looked it up and realized it was a felony i hopped back into the game specifically to answer his question and proceed with the arrest. I don't know how it works for you, but whenever I alt tab back into the game, my monitor stays black for a few seconds because of the fullscreen thing or whatever you wanna call it. During those few seconds, I might have been trying to move and crouch but WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK does me crouching have to do with him thinking the charge wasn't a felony?????? Are you fucking insane?

(2)
The reason i giggled was obviously because the moment i got back into the game the first thing i saw was this stupid ass nigga had already voluntarily signed a plea deal that was going to make him a felon without even waiting for the answer to the question he had just asked me. What's wrong with me laughing at that bruh? Everything you're saying is based on your own assumptions, which simply isn't true. I never forced him to sign that deal, nor did i force him into my RP. He made his own assumption, made his own decision and voluntarily signed the deal himself before getting an answer for his question. Why would you ask someone a question, not wait for the answer and then willingly sign a deal that makes you a felon? I genuinely don't understand how you're turning that into me forcing him to become a felon, apparently i somehow made him think it wasn't a felony JUST BECAUSE I CROUCHED? What the fuck are you even talking about lil nigga?  I was literally in my head checking the penal codes so i can answer his question, I never answered his question or said anything to him and by the time i got back, he had already made his decision and signed the deal? if the guy I'm dealing with has such a low IQ that calling him a stupid ass would genuinely be a compliment how is that somehow my responsibility? If you ask someone a question, you wait until you actually get an answer before making a decision. If you choose to act before hearing the answer, that's on you. I never told him he had to sign the plea deal, nor did I force him to accept it in any way.

And this whole "crouching is a universal yes" argument or whatever the fuck you tried to mean by that IS NOTHING ELSE BUT NEXT LEVEL OF STUPIDITY. You're telling me that because I crouched while coming back from checking the penal codes, he somehow interpreted that as me answering "No, it's not a felony"? I genuinely don't understand how you can look at this situation and think that conclusion makes any sense. Even if we assume everything you're saying is true and my crouching somehow made him believe it was a misdemeanor SOME FUCKING HOW, he was a Detective until a week ago FOR MONTHS and is currently an active Senior Officer. You're seriously claiming that JUST BECAUSE I CROUCHED DOWN while he was waiting for an answer, I was somehow forcing him into an RP situation where he had to become a felon? BRO, I'm actually losing my mind. Please, somebody with a brain and common sense hop into this situation

Hello i am a player who has been around in the PD for around 2 and a half years straight now most of which being a supervisor.

1. Signing a Plea Agreement after asking a question is on you You should always learn the full picture before you sign a guilty plea.

2. PD Lying about charges being a felony or not Is not and has never Been a OOC staff issue its a issue that should be reported to IAB as it is considered  A-12 Gross Incompetence or any other infraction the IAB sees fits.

Andy shouldn't have been banned for this the guy legit signed a plea deal thats on the player not andy.

Hi, please refrain from commenting on administrative threads when you are not involved in them.  Many UA and other members of staff have been active in PD and understand how this works, thanks!

Hi Andy,

This was not needed.  I understand being frustrated over a ban, but being rude won't help!

This decision was made by a combination of 4 staff, not just me.  I understand you feel anger towards me, but this is where we state the situation not air out beef!

Thanks,

Ka1
