Why should you be unbanned?
RP had ended so I left after reading my charges I was just sitting in a jailcell no one was even around

Hello, banning moderator here.

Reason:

While it is true you were in jail, and in cuffs, the arresting Detective came back around and opened your cell door and proceeded to search you. You guys technically made contact; arresting Detective opened your door, you moved, he started the search and you vanished.

Rule(s) Broken:

1) LTARP: LTAP/LTARP = Leaving the server to avoid punishment/role play

- You intentionally left the server so the arresting Detective would not be able to get what he needed from your persons. This is considered LTARP, as you are avoiding the roleplay.

2) Section "Prisoner Rules", Rule 1 states that "When you are arrested you must endure the arrest process," and if you "do not return within 10 minutes, this will be considered LTARP."

- The rules pretty much sums it up. Upon checking logs, you had disconnected, and not changed characters and neither did you ever return within 10 minutes. This is considered LTARP.

 

I came to the decision of banning you for 2 Days because you are a Detective as well. You should know better than most people thrown into a cell.

I'm not a detective and the roleplaying ended after I was sentenced and no one interacted with me for around 10 minutes so I left it was 11pm on a weekday

When you get charged and sent to prison it's generally expected that you leave or switch chars if someone isn't coming to post your bail. They already searched him and got plenty of photos of his inventory and ID (I was his lawyer so I know they did). This might be the dumbest ban I've ever seen.

In this case I do believe you did intentionally LTARP to avoid an inventory search. Your argument that arrest RP had ended would have been valid, but the officer began an interaction with you, attempted a search, and you disconnected in the same second - as proven by logs.

Regardless, we will accept your appeal, on the basis that you will continue with the roleplay scenario that was happening upon your next log in.
