Length of ban: 5 Days

Reason for appeal (dispute/apology):    So i made a decision last night that was not the most intelligent, i took 2 guns out of an unlocked cabinet in the pd evidence room on my cadet char when i decided to quit the PD due to issues with management. I was under the assumption because it was an unlocked cabinet that it would be whoever left it unlocked that made a mistake presumably making it a warrant/IC issue for the char. I would not have done it if i realized it was a ban-able offense.
 

Why should you be unbanned?: I've been on this server for over 2 years now if my memory is correct, and this is my first ban ever on Christmas day. I've done a good job of staying out of trouble to this point and feel my track record alone is a testament to my point. Which is i would not have done it had i known it was not an IC issue,  I rarely have issues with anyone, i get along with pretty much everybody. For what its worth i am sorry for taking the stuff. I feel being Christmas, being my first ever ban in years of playing,  i clearly like being here and wont cause more problems if unbanned. I think I deserve another chance. It is also holidays and i have a few days off of work and it would be nice to be able to play before I've got to go back. I've also seen people with actual records get far less time for doing far worse things repeatedly. Thank you for your time in reading this. Merry Christmas. -Cheese Man

Dude adds alot of RP to the server never knew him on this char but knew him on others and rp's great everyone makes mistakes and the only way to learn is having a second chance. +1 for ban appeal

Honestly, I believe the situation stemmed from an honest mistake and a rule you weren’t fully aware of. Given that context, a warning or a shorter ban would have been more appropriate. You consistently contribute high-quality RP and actively encourage meaningful discussion on the server 

 

I think an unban and a warning would bebetter suited +1

Although He DID ROB THE PD AS A CADET, I think five days may be a little long. Maybe some holiday cheer and a reduction are due. Would be an awesome Christmas present for Mr. GI Jew the American Hebrew.

Maybe you should read them once in a while. "I've played here for 2 years" is like genuinely such piss poor defense. If you had actually read them you would've known that PD raids have to be authorized by UA. You must have a dent in your head if you think that abusing your PD whitelist after you quit because no one would promote you to a Probie is actually an okay thing to do and wouldn't get you punished.

First off I can understand the thought process of that being an in character issue cuz in reality a trainee could 100% rob the police station if a higher up left something unlocked and be on the run for it. So I don't believe he purposefully did it to break the rules. Secondly some of you seriously responded with some unnecessarily hostile and from what I can tell intentionally aggravating messages in discord. The first dude was being a dick over cheese masta asking if he could get some help because he doesn't think he should be playing gmod on Christmas eve. Which is none of his fucking business when he plays and there's no need to be an asshole about it. Nor is it anyones place to start telling him he's bullshitting or covering up him snapping by saying his mom is sick. he got a reply saying "go spend time with family" (like he can't play gmod cuz it's a holiday...) he then replies saying he's on gmod cuz he cant be with family and y'all start saying he's bullshitting and making excuses? Who the fuck do you think you are that you can be talking to other grown ass men like that? I know Cheese irl and his mother is struggling with her health and y'all are calling him a liar and wonder why he crashed out so hard on you guys. He asked a simple question got a rude reply then stated why he's not spending time with family and then y'all say he's using his sick mom as an excuse for "snapping" when he literally did no such thing.  Yall were nothing but disrespectful to him and quite frankly your willingness to jump in and call him a liar and use his sick mom and as ammo against him is sickening and rather infuriating.
