What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I have played this server for multiple years and have actually submitted quite a few staff applications, so I have been around this rodeo a few times so to say. I have responsibility on the server in my role with the District Attorneys office and have prosecuted many cases to success. I have very much enjoyed my time there and am thus seeking further satisfaction with what I can do with the server. The next logical step in my eyes without getting promoted in my already very fulfilling role is to apply to Diverge Staff. A server I enjoy playing on with friends that I have made and keep contact with and even talk to outside of the server. Therefore my motivation and reason for applying is to both give back to the server as well as giving myself the satisfaction of having more responsibility within said server. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I am a hardworking and dedicated individual, especially when looking at my track record within my current position. I have a successful position as a Executive Assistant District Attorney with the District Attorneys office and enjoy my job very much. I have prosecuted cases to the end multiple times and have amassed a respectful position amongst my colleagues within the office. I have endeavored to portray myself as a leader and confidant with people everywhere and have attempted quite successfully to stay out of trouble within my time since my return to the server. Therefore I should be considered before other potential candidates through my experience, leadership, hard work, and dedication to my role and the server at large. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): My staffing experience is unfortunately very lackluster. I have had roles in a couple of small servers, one of which is now defunct...or inactive in my opinion. One was an anime server I was asked onto by a friend that never really took off and thus did not have the experience to staff in the capacity in which Diverge does. The second server is another server that I have been asked to by a friend, but is currently in development and have not had the pleasure to staff as well. I am aware of staff menus and how to properly use commands in some regard though. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: I have been banned before, but in my personal opinion it was a different time in my life and I believe my current track record should better reflect this application. That being said my first ban was when I was just new to the server, I thought that roleplaying a rogue police officer was ok and subsequently got banned for mass random death match. The second time I was having a bad night and saw an advertisement posted by some Anti-Semitic individuals and decided to take a shotgun to them. Again I was subsequently banned for mass random death match. The third time I decided to document bomb the bar sheet and rightly so consequently got permanently banned until I got welcomed back many months ago. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I believe that I am well known within both the legal community as well as the Diverge community as well. I try to make myself available to the people within the community as well as a listening ear and enjoyable presence. In my opinion my past discretions and misgivings have been put behind me and my current track record has given credence to my behavior as of late. That is in the capacity in which the majority of the Diverge community views me. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: Hamir Abduls wedding...shoutout monaclu Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: I have not asked ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I look to see if a fellow staff member is online at the current time, if they are then I communicate with them and hopefully consider the situation handled. If their is not a staff member online at the time, than I would hopefully have a recording of the incident to make a report to someone who can do something about it. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: The action I would take is to report them to someone who is an either a supervisory role to myself or if higher up than me, a supervisory role to them. I would also document said abuse for evidence to present to presumed further questioning by facilitating staff members. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: The relationship between myself and the reportee does constitute bias. Therefore if another staff member is online, I would attempt to recuse myself from that ticket and allow them to take over the situation. If their is not another staff member online at the current moment, then I would treat the ticket as any other and maintain respect and civility for both parties.
