Canadian-bacon Posted March 17 Share Posted March 17 This will be a quick and simple guide in regards to fixing any issues you may have when joining the server. Most on server issues can be fixed by reconnecting / restarting Garry's mod. Common fixes or links I'll be referring to here: Verify game files: Download our content here: You can find the content for our MafiaRP - Southside server at the link below: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2238810677 Possible Issues: Q: I see errors/missing textures? A: Attempt the following fixes - Ensure you have CS:S textures mounted - Ensure you have adequate hard drive space. - Verify game files - Subscribe to our content. - If it's the vehicles turn model detail quality to high in settings. Q: I don't have the Map A: Attempt the following fixes - Ensure you have adequate hard drive space. - Verify game files. - Subscribe to our content. Q: I crash on join when loading Workshop files? A1: You should verify game files as well as go into settings and do the following Options > Multiplayer > Uncheck HTML loading screens A2: Ensure you have enough storage space on your hard drive. Try deleting some files. Q: The cars are all broken. A: Go into your Gmod settings and set the Model Detail Quality to High. Q: I see a black loading screen? A: This is normal during high traffic hours. You should simply wait about 10 minutes to see if it loads. If it does not load after 10 minutes simply reconnect to the server. You can do this by opening console and typing retry. Q: How can I play on Gmod x64? A: Q: How can I improve my FPS and/or load times? A: If you have an SSD we highly recommend you put Garry's mod on the SSD, it significantly improves load times. Q: I can't connect to the server after several tries, I can connect to other servers fine and no other fixes in this guide work. A: 1. Go to your steam library 2. Go to Garry's mod properties and click on launch settings it should be on the first page 3. Type this +clientport 27006 A2: Or you can use a VPN and connect to the server. Q: I can't see models or textures / models are messing up and t-posing and no other fix in this guide works. A: Unsubscribe from all other addons and only subscribe to Diverge content addons If re-validating your files fail you can also delete the following directory from your PC Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\data\nsicon\mafiarp And it will regenerate them Most issues you encounter will be client side, meaning it happens to you and only you.
