Way to distinguish someone who attempted to cash a fraudulent check.

With the new stolen check update, a 911 call goes out about a person attempting to cash a fraudulent check at a location. Yet, you can't ask the NPC what the suspect looked like, even though they reported them? I recommend something similar to the package event with the red text, reading: "This person matches the description from the 911 caller about a fraudulent check," or something similar. That lasts a reasonable time for both parties.

Only if its partial, it'd be so fucking stupid if the cops get like your full description but if the call says like "its a white guy with brown hair" or something that'd be good.

I agree it should have something, maybe the cashier could tell you the description of the person who cashed in the fraudulent check. Meaning the cop would have to go in and talk to the NPC. I don't think a visual que should be there, because then it would be too easy to catch them. But the description would at least let them have a chance to get the right person+ super easy if the person has a custom description.

imagine you are going to wipe down a scratched gun you just got and a whiteshirt cashes a check while youre buying alcohol wipes and now all of a sudden you are being arrested for an illegal firearm

why tf are you wiping a scratched gun before you have alcohol wipes,  in a public place with cameras btw , if you're smart you'll already have that ready in a bank especially since it looks like you did a pk. and even if you do get arrested you'll get out if you have a good lawyer because there was no legal reason to detain you because you didn't commit the crime, you'll have to lose the gun but the felony charges will drop. you'll also have time to get away before the cops come, unless they're camping which is against the rules so the situation will get voided

so you're telling me you've never bought a gun and they told you to wipe it down before you use it? also they don't need to be camping to walk over from park to hardware... i don't even know what i just read if i'm being honest

the checks are trash to you because they arent meant for you. The checks are meant for new players / Civilians to introduce them into more illegal ways of making money. Think of it of civilians having their own "criminal racket"

You main a character who has absolutely nothing to lose and practically no way to lose it. Go fuck yourself, Shittor. The quality of your contribution to this community is literally in your name.

 

If a system like this does get implemented due to this suggestion or because it was already in the works:

I believe you should, after speaking with the NPC clerk, officers should get the ethnicity, age, height, and weight. Also, there should be a fair but tiered cooldown. As time goes, maybe less and less of the description is met. Like if you get there right before the cooldown ends, the clerk might only remember the ethnicity.

I’m not sure how difficult it would be to implement but I’ve seen seemingly much more complex systems implemented here. I definitely don’t think that this suggestion should be completely thrown out, I just think the lazy pigmain douche who suggested it did so in bad faith and out of sheer laziness. 
 

i just hope anything like this isn’t done so in a manner that enables metagaming. And I’m sure none of you want that, either.
