Leaving Faction registers as PK

I was trying to join a company on my character Waffels William Evers when it was cancelled mid hire, the following process is how it occurred;

1. I leave Rockefeller

2. I join said company

3. I ask staff to transfer me out of said company (Somespy did it for me) and into Rockefeller

4. I am transferred to citizens of New York, Somespy says the game registers that I was PK'd and cannot rejoin Rockefeller due to cooldown

I'm not following, please outline the actual timeline better, it's not clear.

The script prevents you from leaving and rejoining, as if you were PKd.
