Hello, I'm the staff member who issued your punishment. When the player initially reported you, I brought you into a sit after reviewing the evidence presented to me. During this, you openly admitted to committing RDM. I considered your honesty and cooperation, which is why I thanked you for your honesty and issued a note rather than a harsher punishment and ensured the affected player was compensated. However, no more than five minutes later, the same player submitted another report, claiming that you had committed RDM again. Upon reviewing the clip, it was evident that you continued to follow the player despite receiving multiple warnings, which appeared to be an attempt to provoke or bait a reaction. When questioned about this during the second sit, you stated that you were responding to a radio call and heading to your apartment. Based on the evidence available, I did not find this explanation to be credible, and reviewing your side of the situation which you previously claimed that you did not clip, it is obvious that you lied to me in the sit and you were not called on radio to your apartment. Additionally, your record shows three prior punishments related to RDM, which further supports the decision to escalate the consequence in this instance. That being said, I do believe you were honest during the initial interaction, and it is possible that your actions were influenced by frustration after the earlier report made against you. While this does not justify the behavior, it provides some context to the situation, I would not have any objections to you being unbanned. Best of luck on your appeal.

+1 Anyone who has been around for the past month will know that this user has had prior conflicts involving rules and other players. I have known Andy for nearly two months now, and throughout that time, I have consistently seen his genuine interest in role-play and in engaging with the Diverge community. While he can come across as pushy at times, from what I have personally witnessed, the situations he has been involved in often stemmed either from racism directed at him or from others deliberately trying to provoke him into a reaction. That does not excuse every response, but I do believe context matters. I believe in second, and even third chances when someone shows they are willing to improve. Taking into account his activity, playtime, and continued interest in the server, I believe he would be an appropriate fit for the staff team. Best of luck on your application.

My suggestion was quite literally the definition of what Trak mentioned. Even though it's not a main character you should have some sort of connection to the faction other than asking for a friend in the same alliance to create a char and PK the guy. Takes away the entire purpose of RP.
-
You are mixing me up with Andy and Marco, I never got PKed, I got kicked out the Discord and the situation got voided over it , if anything it would help me Counter-PK main characters instead of hitman characters. My suggestion doesn't include mugging.
-
Good point and thank you for the reference, however, in real life those individuals were still part of the organization or directly tied to it, and there were real consequences if something went wrong. On the server, however, what often happens is players use disposable characters whose only purpose is to log in, PK someone, and then disappear for weeks or switch back to another faction’s character.
-
That could very well be a good alternative to my original suggestion. What I’m suggesting would apply to everyone. Even if you are PK’ing an associate or an intern, the person doing it should still be taking some risk themselves. As an enforcer or senior member, it shouldn’t just be outsourced to a random player who mainly plays a different faction, logs on to kill someone, and then immediately switches back to their main character.
-
As many of you may already be aware, there has been a noticeable influx of “hitman” characters among various factions on the server. I would like to suggest that players should only be allowed to PK someone within a faction if the character performing the PK is set as their Main Character. The intention behind this proposal is to discourage players from freely cycling through disposable characters or creating new ones solely for the purpose of PK’ing others. When characters are treated as expendable tools, it undermines the risk and consequences that PK is meant to carry. Currently, some of these hitman characters do not even bother to pick up their own bullet casings or take basic precautions, because there is little to no fear of losing the character if they are identified or killed in the process. This ultimately weakens the purpose of Counter-PK mechanics, as the individual carrying out the hit has no meaningful attachment to the character being used. Requiring PK actions to be carried out only by a player’s Main Character would restore a sense of risk and accountability, ensuring that those involved have something meaningful at stake. For clarity, this rule should only apply to faction-related PKs. It would not apply to fail-mug situations or other forms of PK outside of faction conflicts.

I won't post the clip of him pulling me over and mentioning that due to privacy concerns but it's up to you to take my word on it.

I just don't think someone who holds grudges across characters is suitable to be in a position to handle administrative situations
-
-1 I generally do not go out of my way to issue a -1 or attempt to negatively impact someone’s chances. However, you are one of the very few individuals who have managed to push me to such response. After reviewing the clip I have attached, it is difficult to understand how you would currently be suitable for a staff position. It clearly shows your inability to stay professional in a roleplay environment let alone a staff situation. Grow up and stop thinking you are an actual Streetboss. Bruno-Shitarfo (The IA Incident)

Hello, I’m the staff member who issued your punishment. You approached a group of individuals standing in front of their business and proceeded to drop a body bag containing a deceased person on their property. This action forced a roleplay scenario onto the individuals working at that business. You then deleted the character you performed this action on in an attempt to hide your involvement. Based on your previously clean record, I issued you a shorter punishment.

+1 Sips is a great member of the community, professional and mature. Need I say more?
-
+1 | Friendly and mature, would make a great staff member.
-
I haven't been approached by anyone regarding the Lucchese Crime Family, no one has offered me anything nor have I accepted any offers. I'm simply a lonely Turkish man interested in helping people out when the NA timezone is sleeping All the responses above are Bruno-Scarfo guys that can't cope with their HC being banned for metagaming.
-
I'm pretty sure no "third-worlder" caused the accidental and uncoordinated PK of 4 of their members, this is a staff application not a hissy fit, next time tell your HC members to not be stupid and get themselves banned by a player who returned a month ago They got a bit mad when their entire HC got ridiculed and they voided my chars entire existence
-
I haven't replied to any other negative comment on this post to maintain professionalism but I have no respect for a faction that PKs friends of the person that they couldn't PK because their HC doesn't know how not to metagame
-
-1 I’ve always argued that age is not an indicator of maturity. However, saying “Bro, I’m 16, fam” demonstrates a level of immaturity and suggests you may not yet be suitable for a staff position.
-
+1 Definitely useful. I’d prefer having my IA badge in the middle instead of at the end
-
+1 While I’m non-aligned regarding capo permissions, I do think this should be implemented for recruitment permissions. In most factions, associates and senior associates end up handling most of the recruitment, and relying on a single person to grant permissions to multiple people every day is difficult.

+1 This would be a great addition, especially if it persisted after server restarts. It would allow detectives to create interactable boards for criminal cases and homicide investigations.

Open up cops to PKs | Witsec rework | Mega suggestion
vel0city replied to KingJewMonaclu's topic in Suggestions
+1 You make several valid points in your suggestion. It’s undeniable that, currently, it’s practically impossible to PK a LEO unless they do something extraordinarily stupid. It would be nice to see some form of repercussions for legal characters. I also think this would encourage them to be more careful when engaging with criminals, rather than blasting everyone without fearing they could be killed themselves. While it may be a bit more complicated with DAs, I would love to see this implemented for the NYPD. -
Thank you for your feedback. Thank you for your constructive feedback, yes I might not have months of playtime but I think that I'm an adaptable person and I'll be able to adapt to the team fairly quickly. Thank you for your feedback. However, I was unable to understand the correlation between being an IA member and the assumption that I consider myself untouchable. I cannot interpret this comment as anything other than ill-intentioned, have a great day.

In-Game Name(s): Hari Yamaguci | Vito Giovanni | Marco Sanders Steam Name: bacikaciran23 Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/bacikaciran23/ Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:108657906 Discord Username: .vel0 Age: 18 When did you first join the server: Wed, 08 Sep 2021 Total playtime on our Servers (Do !time in-game): 1w 1d 1h 4m Time Zone: EU | GMT+3 How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: I'd be able to dedicate atleast 2-3 hours daily to moderating alone, I'm usually on for 5-6 hours daily. Have you read the rules?: Yes Do you have a working microphone?: Yes Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): Yes Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: Yes, I'm familiar with Nutscript and have decent experience with SAM. Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes Long Answer Questions proceeded with an asterix require a response of 3 Sentences Minimum. What is your motivation/reason for applying?:* Due to my timezone, I'm usually on at times when there are either no staff on or a single staff member on, it's usually at this time when there is a backlog of tickets waiting to be resolved. I'd be willing to help resolve the problems that arise when the NA playerbase is offline. I also think my prior knowledge of Diverge from 2021 and previous staff experience in other servers both in GMod and other games can help bring the server to a even higher standard. Why should you be considered over other candidates?:* Every person has their own strengths and weaknesses, I personally believe I am suited for support roles, I'm patient, forthcoming and professional, but I also don't forget that at the end of the day it is a roleplay server in a videogame. I believe this is something most people don't/can't realize. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): Icefuse Networks | MilitaryRP | Senior Moderator (2020) Civil Networks | DarkRP | Administrator (2019) I've also owned and managed my own competitive Minecraft network (2021-2025) Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: I haven't, I have 0 bans and 0 notes. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?:* I am a returning player from 2021, most of the people who knew me back in the day is either retired or has forgotten since it's been close to 5 years. I'm slowly getting adapted to the new people and the new dynamic of the server, I would say I'm not "hated" but not the most known person on the server. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: I usually enjoy the events such as the shootout that happened in construction, the fishing event with the forklift prize. I enjoy the atmosphere and the community of Diverge. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: Auxiliary, Monaclu, Winchester Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I'd first check how many non-AFK staff are online, if there are none online or if everyone is AFK, I would switch to my staff character and start taking the piled up tickets including the RDM one (if I'm not one of the parties involved). You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would clip it as much as I could before opening a ticket to UA, once sufficent evidence is collected I would present all the evidence to UA in a ticket. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would take the ticket, I would listen to both sides for their explanations and examine the presented evidence. If any punishment were to be given, I would hand it out to each party guilty regardless if they are in my faction or are my friend.
