No I just earned extra stats from punching atms and lockers and the Fishing NPC over a very long period of time. Slowly and gradually got my strength to 30. I just figured it would take that into the equation but I guess not.
-
I went on last night and tried testing this out ( thankfully it didnt grab my money) And when I get home later ill post some pictures, but as it stands my stats are: Endurance: 16 Stamina: 5 Strength: 30 When I went to the hospital to reset my stats I was granted 35 or 37 points to play with. So I think this may need to be tweaked a bit. Also.. with the whole thing with points being added to play time.. does that slow down the higher your stats are? Because in the first 30 hours I was granted quite a few. Now im around 65 hours and not getting anything. Just curious

Going to try and be unbiased here, but to my knowledge its bro's first offence, and he is an active member that is still relatively a new player that has only played the last couple of months. I know its not my call to make, but maybe cutting him a break and giving him a ban instead of the PK would be an act of mercy and be his one get out of jail free card moving forward and be a reminder that if it happens again he knows what will happen. I just went through server and pk rules on the forum and did use the "find" tool and typed in LTAP and personally didnt find anything beyond the word punishment being used for LTAP but it seems intentionally vague. Im sure whatever decision that gets made will be fair. But I guess asking to throw the guy a bone and show him some grace is really all he can ask for.

+1 Allholyheaven has a wealth of experience on the server, is commited to gainful RP and overall having a jersey themed crime family is creative and will add flavor to the server. Honestly, everyone says they are sick of Italian factions, yet the only ones around are the ones that have been around from the beginning. The newly made factions always seem to be non italian and it is rare that they stick around. I have lost count at how many black and muslim factions that have been made over the years. And they never seem to last. Not to mention the name is 1980s mafia rp. And it takes place in New York. To new players that have never heard of Mafia RP and is their first time to the server, I guarantee they will be thinking the same thing that I did when I joined. Italian Mafia. That should reinforce the presence of italians in the city. Looking forward to seeing some oldschool RP brought back to the city. In the beginning that was what this server was all about. It has my vote. -
Since Im not willing to take the risk and spend the money required, Im just wondering. When you reset your stats at the hospital, does it just grant you the original number you had at start giving you an option to reset? Or does it take into account stats earned? Like if I put all 30 points into endurance and stamina and got my strength up to 30 then reset.. would I now have 60 to play with? Or just 30?
-
I realize that there was a recent implementation of a random stat being awarded based on playtime. but what if there was a gym ( maybe get rid of the governors mansion since it seems to rarely get any use) that you pay a membership for, and in return you can lift weights to get strength up, Run on a treadmill for Stamina, or do Deadlifting or a bench press for Endurance. It creates roleplay, you can meet other people at the gym, get your stats up faster, and you pay a membership so it helps the economy. Then maybe it can be some sort of legal citizen job where people that arent part of a criminal faction can join. Like if you have a personal trainer you pay them on top of the membership, but they actually boost your stats faster as you lift weights.

-1 Extensive POs, Knows the rules well but clearly doesn't follow them. He seems to have a commitment to rage bait and annoy people. Having him as staff would only reinforce him doing this. Personally seen him prop abuse, break NLR ( and Im talking within the span of the last few days. Not Like three months ago) and with the exception of his judge and cop characters that he spends little time on, his main character was literally made with the intent to be a minge. I think he needs to prove himself over a long period of time that he can respect the people of the community he claims to love, and actually commit himself to RP and gaining friends instead of burning bridges. If he was staff before on other servers then he should know better for this one.

Again, as Allen stated, he thought you were retiring. Not wanting to leave but remain in the city. Once you are in the drug trade, there is no option to leave the faction. He also isnt the decision maker. You were deemed a risk, and killed for it. Nobody removed you on our end of things from the faction and made you a civilian. As Allen put it, you werent given permission to leave. Which means in the mean time you also failed to pay kickups during this time.

I gave the orders. So when we hire people and they are whitelisted they gain access to our racket. We make it clear they are not to touch said racket and to just purchase oil. We have been doing it this way for years ever since I started. Him saying he didnt know Heroin was an illegal product is well.. absurd. Maybe he didnt process it. But it sounds to me he admitted here in his appeal that he purchased them. Furthermore, not coming into the city and missing kickups multiple times, just to claim he is retiring is a way people just obtain access to a racket and avoid paying dues to the faction. Furthermore he wanted to remove himself from the whitelist but still wanted to be around in the city which makes him a liability to us. When you join a faction you agree to the risks and agree to terms that you are subject to PKs. Hope this clear things up

Well, again, my Alt Character Phil Leonardo has the f3 of the character arrested. Not to mention I was arrested and served my time. What is wrong with that? Rules state if you have the f3 you are considered "rolling with them" and can intervene. I also intervened while it still was happening As for my cop character, didnt realize I was discharged. I was still whitelisted so I assumed I was still in. But again, I never went into the cell, and I asked why the cops were outside the cell since two detectives who werent involved took over the case. What is suspicious about that? Under a "New Life" of my cop, me asking details isnt meta game. If I accused the arresting officers of something when I wasnt present, then that would be metagame. Also, I never got "upset". I never yelled, swore or challenged you in a disrespectful way. You never used your mic and typed everything out. I merely asked questions and you immediately told me to take it to the forums when I asked you questions. I ask questions to gain understanding. since like I said, the rules here aren't clear and Rule 11 is the only one that comes close to this, and given that I never did anything with any information, Nothing was used for anybody's benefit. I merely stood outside the cell waiting for him to be released. Is this really worth three days? It could have been explained to me and a warning would have sufficed and I would have apologized. If you stick with the three days, then fair enough. But at the very least there should be maybe an update to the rules regarding detailed explanations of what is character abuse or meta gaming. Since I read everything over and couldn't find anything. Maybe my circumstance is murky or grey, but Blatant rule breaking? I would respectfully disagree. Then again, im not an admin so what do I know

Your Character or Steam Name: Adamo Machiavelli Your SteamID (Click to retrieve): 76561198277991496 Your Discord ID#: CobraKaiChampion#7550 Reason for ban: Character Abuse/ Metagame/ Used Alts to Reinsert himself into an rp scenario Length of ban: 3 days Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): 4lights said that 1) I was being attacked by my friend on my main with a knife. But I wasn't being attacked or anything. The guy ran around with a knife and was arrested for having it out. about 5 minutes earlier I had hit him with my hammer. But he was chasing another friend. My main character wasnt detained for this, and I had no interactions with the police 2) then I went on my alt character to punch the cop that was arresting him. the rules say- In the same vein there are still times when you can't shoot police and it would be considered RDM. You may not KOS Police for no reason. They must be specifically targeting you or a faction member for arrest/takedown. You may not kill Officers for simply pulling you over or writing you a traffic citation. You may not kill Officers for giving you a lawful order. (Leave the area, put that away, Identify yourself, etc) You may attack Officers if they attempt to Arrest/Detain you or a member of your group, knowing that an arrest or detainment would lead to a FELONY charge (Having illegal guns/drugs/etc.) You are PK active after shooting/killing an officer. -What is considered an attempt to arrest / detain you: Attempting to handcuff you Verbally telling you, you are being detained / arrested ("You are being detained", "You are under arrest") Firing their tazer at you Pointing their gun at you and ordering you to surrender/stop moving/get down/turn around. (Fear RP basically) (Telling you to LEAVE is not an arrest/detainment) Asking you for ID / Licenses is NOT a detainment / arrest; nor is simply questioning you, giving you a lawful order or threatening to arrest you. ("Leave or you will be arrested") (etc.) A Group member is defined as the following: They are a member of your faction They are rolling with you. (You MUST have their F3) ---- my alt character is security for the restaurant we were at, and I have the f3 of the guy who the cop arrested. Given that they were attempting to give this guy felony charges, and im security or a "Hang around" at the restaurant and I have the f3 of the guy, I think this is justified to intervene. Given there was a crowd around the cop of employees, and my character is a "hired gun/security" I felt it was justified. 3) I went on my cop character afterwards and stood outside the cell while he was inside the cell. I didnt enter the cell, and when two detectives took over the case from the arresting officer, I asked why they took over the investigation for them. Then asked the original arresting officer why they were outside the cell. I never entered the cell and since the cells are deafened on the inside I heard nothing. The arresting cop didnt like this and decided to report me and asked me why I was hanging arround. the rules here on Metagame-- Do not speak of in game matters in OOC Do not use OOC terms in IC Discord is generally considered OOC unless it is owned by Diverge Networks, and has the channel clearly stated as IC. I.E: [IC], [In Character] All Discord Voice Channels are considered OOC. Any 3rd party Voice / VOIP program is considered OOC while in the server. In order for you to communicate with other players you must use in game chat or voice functions, we added radios for this exact reason. Coordinating anything IC in a third party voice program is metagaming and will lead to a ban and/or a void of an RP situation. You may use Discord to request a lawyer or use discord to organize meetings or flag ups by naming a date, time and location. Attempting to use OOC chats to communicate things which should be clearly labeled IC is not permitted, you can receive a punishment for this OR the OOC communication can be considered IC by upper staff and is therefore admissible to continue an existing roleplay situation. You cannot call for help while being mugged/held under fearrp in discord or any other 3rd party service as you would not realistically be able to contact others while under fearp/tied. You cannot use an OOC reason to PK someone. Leave beef on the server, this is a video game. You cannot use OOC things / terms as a means to get out of an RP situation. Anything on mic is IC. Use /looc or /ooc when you need to speak of ooc matters ingame. Anything said in game (not in /ooc or /looc) is IC and must be treated as such. You cannot use/pass IC information of one character with another one of your characters, that is meta. Criminal factions are known about and often high ranking members of these organizations are very recognizable, the name and structure of these organizations is often known about through local rumours and news reports. They are an open secret and knowing the name of a faction or who the leader is is not necessarily metagame. Admin sits are not considered IC and any information obtained and used in RP can be considered META. It is considered Meta for Police to attempt to arrest people for talking to blackmarket/illegal NPCs. Police do not "have knowledge" the NPC buys drugs and it's not a reason to detain or arrest users approaching it. (Camping the NPC). Ways to Identify someone IC'ly: -You have their F3 -They Identify themselves to you, verbally giving you their full name / unique nickname -Someone who has their F3 Identifies them to you -You have viewed their ID card or searched their person (See Police rules section) -If someone has committed an offense against you (Act of violence, mugging, etc) you may recognize them based on their voice, character descriptions and clothing for up to 30 minutes afterwards (Without having their F3). Players may change clothes or lay low during this time to avoid recognition. Looking over the rules of Metagame, there is nothing in here that says I cant switch characters. Especially since my cop never interfered or baited anyone or attempted to let the guy out of the cell. Rule 11 states I am not allowed to pass or use information of one character with another one of my characters and that is meta. But My alternate being security, that was directly outside the front entrance of the restaurant I work for, arresting someone who I have their f3, and the arrest is STILL HAPPENING and there is a crowd in front of the arresting officer, does not have me use alternate character information for the arrest. It was still an event in progress. As for my cop character, I never got involved and merely stood outside the cell. I asked the arresting officers why other officers took over. I never accused them of anything or accused them of anything since my cop character was not present. Why should you be unbanned? - I realize its only three days, and its not a huge deal.. But the rules are a tad grey on Rule 11 and my situation. At the very least I feel it could be elaborated on or given more clear definitions on what is not allowed. I don't cause issues or minge or rdm or anything. And at the end of the day, a cop got punched and I stood by a cell on my cop character, but didnt get involved since I never even heard what was being said inside the cell. At the very least, I would like to request a warning and to just move on. If not, Well its only three days so no sweat off my back. Additional Information (images, videos, etc):

You had a habit of avoiding kickups before you retired, and going on LOA to avoid them, and then you retired before any action could be taken to that and never were seen in the city until now. Furthermore, you left the faction on the 24th and decided to be a citizen which puts you at risk for knowing too much.

Horse race and Sports betting Gambling License
CobraKaiChampion replied to CobraKaiChampion's topic in Suggestions
Sorry.. Where are the horse races in game currently? Im speaking of a monitor that sets it up like roulette. With the odds being favored like the roulette table -
+1 extremely useful

Not very polite. If you dont want the prop u dont have to use it. I for one agree with the cross prop whole heartedly. +1 totally agree

Another method of factions to make money. Instead of slot machines, and tables What if there was a license handed out separate from the regular gambling license that did Sports Betting and Horse Races? Working in a similar fashion to Roulette. You have a computer or monitor that sets up a fictional horse race with a number of horses, or a football game.. Where you bet on the odds of a horse winning, or how many touchdowns will be made by a particular team. You are able to stack multiple bets for greater risk but more reward. If you lose, the losses can be severe. I have seen simple coin tosses or programs on dark RP servers where you go to a monitor and bet with other players and this could be similar but oriented towards Diverge. An electronic sports and horse race bookie. Since it will set up fictional games nobody has an edge on who wins or loses, and its random like the odds of winning at blackjack or roulette.

Hi there. I just returned after a 3 year hiatus. The server definitely changed. There are forensics, more evidence stacked against criminals, and its easier for PD to convict criminals or catch them. Accessing bank accounts, IDing for something as petty and arbitary as a parking violation ect. And yet the only methods of money making for the most part are Oil, guns or a drug racket. And for a select few- selling donator clothes or cigars, or if you have a gambling license or an poker game. But yet, in the real world the Mafia really stayed away from drugs and they focused much more on white collar crimes. In the 1980s Michael Franzese was famous for his gas tax scam, making fake companies with fake names go bankrupt selling gas, using tax exemptions ect and collecting the cash meanwhile the federal government and gas corporations losing money and yet the end consumer buying cheaper gas. Lots of credit card frauds, or business fraud. As seen in sopranos Tony has that friend of his lose tons of money in a card game and the interest goes up to the point of the guy handing over his sporting goods store for leverage. The mob then starts maxing out their credit so the business declares bankruptcy. But tony gets fake/fraudulent plane tickets and other things under the guys name. I realize this example is complicated given how small the server is, but I would like this post to be an open forum for others with ideas of white collar crimes that dont involve drugs. But a way to fraud the State or City government from taxes with loopholes, or if there were contracted city roles like tow trucks or street cleaners that are run by mob controlled unions. Police request a tow of a vehicle, but if that person is high profile enough the union prevents the tow truck from towing a vehicle. Something like that. I know my ideas here are a bit scattered, but having an overhaul where Parking violations can have citizen or police call for a tow truck to impound a vehicle. The vehicle gets impounded, and the owner must go to city hall and pay a fine for the vehicle to be released. The longer they wait, the fine goes up each day. The city gets money from the player base, and then PD doesnt demand ID for parking violations because there is no criminal element. Its now only a civil matter. From an RP standpoint, players get a $$ figure amount for each vehicle they tow as a tow trucker driver. The cost of a tow is some sort of agreed upon fee between the leader of the tow truck faction and a union they are required to be a part of. The unions are run by the criminals, and the fee is split in half. Half of the tow fee goes to the truck driver, the other half goes to the union fund. The union uses this income to pay Union delegates ect. Or can be like Jimmy Hoffas teamsters Union Pension fund that was used to fund Las Vegas. Right now the server is too much Cops and Robbers. Either you are PD or a Government employee or you are a criminal. But having blue collar jobs like street cleaners, that are hired by the city, or by property owners to clean up garbage that can randomly spawn on a property or the street. Having tow truck drivers for the reasons explained. Union workers that represent Blue collar jobs. There should be a paramedic job as well and the union represents both EHS and PD. If the Union has control over a PD budget, now if they have a lower budget, there can be less PD members online at a given time. Bigger budget = more police ect. Then having a stock market, and having stock market broker jobs with a purpose of making money on behalf of all citizens. With an opportunity for stock manipulation and illegal stock market fraud. Like the stock market actually having an influence on what Oil will be priced at. And it can fluctuate. Sometimes prices will be low. Sometimes if you hold out they will be high.. I realize these are a lot of idea. Just trying to think outside the box of oil barrels and drugs for criminal money making methods.
