While our hierarchy is based on La Cosa Nostra, this isn't just some 'Mafia' faction. We aim to correctly portray an authentic, tight-knit group of hard working Italian American's who decided to join this life out of need, not want. A real community with different sets of culture, values, and identity. who allegedly happen to be involved in organized crime. Our faction is built around a small family from New Jersey, not New York and especially not Sicily. We're not glorifying the 'Mafia' or the 'Old Country' or by using exaggerated tropes. We're directly roleplaying second- and third generation Italian-Americans, sons of construction workers, delimen, and union guys who grew up together, bonded primarily by neighborhood loyalty, and slowly becoming part of something larger then the race themselves. This is a family, where people go to church, eat dinner together on Sundays, and call each others mothers 'ma'. That sense of family and tradition of Italian-American's trying to become more 'American' through trial and error. We're devoutly committed to cultural and community rp, as I said earlier, not just criminal RP. One of our long-term goals is to involve the small businesses or organizations made by players in our roleplay, such as Construction companies that can shut down area's for construction through RP, painting companies, and the Italian American Civil Rights League, creating interactions with local leaders in New York and the regional government. This allows us to emphasize more on themes that are often forgotten about, such as ethnic identity, police harassment, and pride, while directly giving the faction more depth and legitimacy. We're not here to dominate South Side or start wars, directly or indirectly. At it's heart again, the DeCavalcante faction is about family, in every sense of that word. Structure wise, we completely adhere to the traditional mafia hierarchy, but we treat every rank with realistic responsibility and weight. Promotions are based solely on IC merit, devout loyalty, and character development. We're not nepotistic, giving out ranks to every single one of our friends. Everything is earned ICly, and absolutely nothing is rushed. We're committed to long-term characters, realistic progression, and in-depth politics. Our main goal, regardless of how much we're able to effect this, is to bring back serious RP. What server rule or PK rule was violated?: How this whole thing went down it just feels like some NLR was broken. We killed all three guys, should've pked the one who didn't comply to the mugging. Shortly after there was noise in the bathroom, someone opened the window and came in, then gunfire and tazers went off. The house had the door kicked in and the officer (Garcia) shot me and killed me. The alley way next to the town house had shooting involved and then the officers kicked down the door. As soon as I see officer Garcia I was instantly gunned down. It felt a little fishy the way he snapped onto me. The person we were trying to mug and should've ended up dead, however there is a high chance the person who we mugged and killed called the cops on us using nlr information to fuck us over. More so, it's possible his two bodyguards broke nlr and tried to use meta information to bait the police into the situation. In a fashion that wasn't organic in nature. Additional Information (images, videos, etc): id say check logs, it will show that i was never banned from any diverge discords. i left on my own. this confirms that i was falsely banned as there was a misunderstanding somewhere or a confusion that caused me to still get banned considering i had already left all diverge discords before i ever asked anyone about joining a different server. the times and days will show the proof

My suggestion is simple. Add a take all button to shipments. Why shouldn't we be able to? Another option would be to make it like a crate so you can shift click the stuff out. Would still be better and feel better than spam clicking take. Also why is there a drop option? When have I ever wanted to drop items out of a shipment crate? Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

The application is well-thought and the content is impressive. I think this faction would add a fun environment and flavor to the existing Italian roleplay. It would be cool to see the DeCavalcante family on the server. +1

I realize that there was a recent implementation of a random stat being awarded based on playtime. but what if there was a gym ( maybe get rid of the governors mansion since it seems to rarely get any use) that you pay a membership for, and in return you can lift weights to get strength up, Run on a treadmill for Stamina, or do Deadlifting or a bench press for Endurance. It creates roleplay, you can meet other people at the gym, get your stats up faster, and you pay a membership so it helps the economy. Then maybe it can be some sort of legal citizen job where people that arent part of a criminal faction can join. Like if you have a personal trainer you pay them on top of the membership, but they actually boost your stats faster as you lift weights.

Let me clarify my thoughts regarding my parkour suggestion and my character PK. I've noticed the comments, and I want to say this once and for all: I don’t understand why you treat others nicely while speaking calmly, even when you disagree. I've been a nice person on this server for a long time, despite my past vigilante actions. I've tolerated the insults and negative attitudes, but I've had enough. If this doesn’t stop, I will reach out to an admin of Diverge Networks. I apologize for expressing myself this way on the forums, but I am human too, and I would like to see how you would handle being in my position. Consider this a warning.

224 word count for your back story, while yes the question does say 250+ minimum, read some of the other accepted applications to understand what the expectations are. you dont need to do 500 or 250 or 800 words, but a large majority of the other apps are more in depth about their backstories. also !time ingame to see your playtime.

if you didn't rdm, then you're rdm baiting lmfao. Intentions cannot be proved from one person to another, but in this case, you're directly chasing him and punching towards him. Did the other guy over react by pulling out a gun? Yes, but is that against the rules? No, he was justified to threaten you, he felt in danger. But for you to play the victim card of "I didn't do that" or "It's his fault" is just blatantly wrong. when i was senior admin i actually intentionally only took the opposing side's sits, and when i knew they were an enemy i would side with the guy in the wrong, life is just so much simpler that way when you've made up your mind on the sit before hearing any of the facts (you're schizophrenic, make a staff report if its something actually dire and not just some retard rambling)

Last year it was 1988, now its 1989, so what does that mean we actually passed a thousand years? ...... There's time limits in every court case, but its very hard to coordinate as a judge to have two parties, and most of the time 4-5+ people per trial all get on at the same time. bigger maps mean more dispersed population, which makes the server feel empty or gives less chance to factions who aren't in the "main hangout areas" i understand you said you're new, but basically this server has been on southside for quite a while, then a couple months ago Pendred figured out how to edit the map, and since then has been improving it like crazy from the workshop version.

approach 1, legal rp. stricter gun laws, nothing can be open carried (back, or in hands), make current concealed weapons show on the waistline or something. approach 2, stupid, but add heavier escalation rules, current it goes as follows, ur mad at me, i punch you, you hit me with your gun, i shoot you dead bam. could make it something like fists can only be retaliated with the bud of your gun (and nerf the damage a fuck ton) or melee weapons not my idea though and i came up with this out of my liquid asshole juice

just "following the rules and doing rp" isn't roleplaying. making your whole character about mugging is not roleplaying, its mugging to make money (your words not mine). Join a faction, work a business, talk to some people, trade items, etc... But revolving your whole "roleplay" around taking precious items from other people? thats not roleplay, you're just playing to either 1. ruin others experiences or 2. get a fast and speedy grind up for some cash. as for the friend not being banned, considering you have 15 bans, i would also preferably ban you over your friend.... this is a mafia roleplay server, not a PVP 100k or Die FiveM server.

system worked exactly as intended and the ban was warranted. if you ask for a dollar, and someone gives you a dollar, your request was fulfilled. the system was coded to stop someone who is currently banned, from joining on another account, using the same ip address. without breaking garry's mod TOS by writing a 'hwid' and not easily exploitable, this is the simplest way. garry's mod function GetIPAddress is the most identifiable thing that they give developers, unless hey, give us your full legal name, address, hwid, and download this funny exe every time you join the server for server 'security'. doesn't that sound a little crazy? sorry ill stop causing beef, but you are negligent, be happy you're getting unbanned

cars requiring players to function probably is gonna be a no-go and i can guarantee that. the problem is that there is no certainty that players will be on to fill up your pumps, and even at that, if it was an npc doing it for you, its just more steps to driving a car.

PET flag taking admin here, I'll start off by saying, you have two POs. Your flags have been revoked before if I remember correctly. From this situation, you were borderline RDM baiting at the Lucchese property on the corner, with all of their cars parked infront I remember you taking out a prop, and just flinging them all, killing one of the guys and knocking out the others.

11 days play time with 28 months between first join and last ban, i dont think you understand how numbers work

Not the banning admin here or nothing, but heres some interesting stats to prove why you should not be unbanned anytime soon or given any sort of chance! First join, 2nd of February, 2022. Play time, 11 days, 11 hours, 42 minutes, 21 seconds. Whopping 18 bans and 12 notes. Your total ban time is 91.96 days. (Excluding most recent permaban) (Read two lines above....) Total ban time compared to play time, is approximately x8. (banned 8 times more than total play time) Numbers below are including the actual time banned (including = lower averages, excluding = higher averages) Average bans per month? 0.61 bans per month. Average notes per month? 0.43 notes per month. Total months since join time to last ban date? 28 months. Total months (28) divided by playtime? x73.12. You are a chronical rule breaker and have never learnt. You have multiple serious offenses on your account including Global Rule 13s and others. (This is all public record) Nothing has changed with you, never has, never will.

In the appeals process, every angle is looked at. You at your own volition joined a criminal family, and were given a prompt along the lines of "Anything you do is PKable, you are now at great risk". You joined, and you purchased the drugs. If you didn't want a crime life, then you don't need to join a family purely involved in crime. To show every angle is looked at, we even investigated the person who killed you because it seemed like they were on an alternate character, but turns out they were pked out of Bonnanos a couple days prior. While yes, you did break FearRP and that does warrant a PK in this situation. You got lucky because the person who mugged you, was deemed a mugging character a couple hours after you were killed. You should really read up on the PK rules, especially breaking FearRP, a little recap is that if someone is mugging you, or giving you commands, under fearrp, the second you retaliate and die, you can be pked for that. When joining a criminal faction you are prompted with a text that says something along the lines of "You understand the risks of joining this family" blah blah blah. In this case, dons orders were sent out on you for the specific reasoning as stated above. The official order message is saying "making the family look bad upon several different instances in the past 6 months and calling 911 against known allies." Your appeal has been reviewed and denied. We have determined this PK to be reasonable and/or justified. You may not re-appeal this PK.

The reason this appeal took so long is because when metagame is an excuse to something, its looked into deeply. The outcome of that, is that we found no evidence of metagaming, infact, we actually saw more proof to justify no metagame happening, than proof that they were metagaming. There was a 911 call, false or not, thats an in character issue. The person also who made the call, had no mutual factions with the person being kidnapped, and the call was made right infront of your door. Now for the cops raiding the place, they saw the 911 call and were already in the area, hence why they came in fast and hard. You should not of shot at the cops if you wanted a chance to not be pked on the spot. With all of that information, the only foul play here that I could find is the basis for the 911 call. The raid by NYPD was also an IC issue, because 911 calls are not probably cause to kick a door down. The tying sound is also very loud, and very easily can be heard through the walls. Banning Admin Here, When someone else had just gotten banned for mass stabbing AFK police officers in the PD, I was spectating around the PD. I then see you charging the PD front door with a knife. I freeze you and your friend and give you a name change prompt. You don't change it, so I give you another one and make you aware of the situation. I said, word for word, "if you run in there and stab the cops with your knife for no reason, you, and the person who gave you the knife are going to be punished for it." You picked a new name and went on your way. Not more than 5 seconds later, you run into the PD and start stabbing cops then die. Now, by rules, that would still be a ban for a first time offender like yourself, yet because I told you literally NOT to do that, and you did it anyways, thats why you got banned. To read your appeal, I did. Its not remotely okay to raid the PD. Not being strict, I told you exactly what NOT to do. You cannot raid PD without UA approval, and in this instance, your raid was to just RDM. A real mafia would raid the PD to get someone out of jail, not kill as many officers as possible with a kitchen knife then get gunned down. More and more lies. I told you prior to you entering the building, I even told you after I tped you to a sit when you died that you shouldn't of done that. In the end, I think you got lucky with only a 3 day ban.

Super evil admin guy here, I logged onto the server to see multiple tickets asking if they could assassinate you. In which I said no, as it shouldn't be happening in the first place. You were named "Ronald Trump", wearing a MAGA hat, with a massive dupe completely blocking the meat market. (You are in a civilian faction). You have multiple notes and PET blacklist related incidents. This alone would get your PET flags revoked, and most likely permanently as you should know better being such an old player. I, as the staff member had the option of not only removing your PET flags, but also banning you. I felt nice, and instead I shot you, deleted the props, and gave you a name change prompt. So that it would be continued in RP that you had 'died'. Political leader names are not accepted in the timeframe or at all on the server. Hence why you don't see Joe Biden running around on the streets, nor do you see Barak Obama running for governor. When I joined, I had seen there were a few tickets asking to assassinate you, in which I said no to. Obviously duhh... With the name Ronald Trump, you were rdmed 4 times (5 including mine as staff intervention/gm intervention) While yes, my course of action was not necessary to shoot you, I felt it needed to stop one way or another. Just tping you away in the middle of a rally with a bunch of people is not appropriate, but an assassination on a fake political figure that shouldn't exist in the first place was in my eyes, the right thing to do. Now for every other punishment I gave you (none), I was being extremely nice considering no ban, no pet flags removed, no notes added, nor no pks given.
