It's not harassment because freedom of speech lets me accuse him of being a pedophile for no reason There's no acknowledgment of wrong doing, no acknowledgment that accusing people of shit like that is not chill, etc etc. Point 1 and 2 are contested by multiple staff members who say you continued despite being told to stop, you argued with JMZ and continued after the fact despite claiming you instantly listened as well as arguing in the second sit (refusing to comprehend your actions, a consistent theme) You don't seem to grasp the severity of making baseless accusation, yes as a one time joke these comments are whatever, but to continuously, after being told to stop, try to besmirch someone simply because you don't like them or you think they might not like you is irresponsible as hell. Anyone can claim anything but without actual proof you're just hurling baseless libel, which obviously isn't "Freedom of Speech". This isn't the first time you've gone out of your way to harass people you have issues with, I have seen the way you behave in personal messages with people, your overall attitude isn't very much different than a spoiled rich child. I've seen you crash out about when being made to leave factions or for getting pk'ed. You have on multiple occasions professed your 'hatred' of persons in the community and claimed you could easily go find them, maybe to harm them, etc. Harassing or other factions on alternate characters, you have already been reported for this poor behaviour and I wanted to see if this was a one time crash out or indicative of a repeated pattern of schizophrenia. Ultimately this proves it, I liken your behaviour to that of a child. It's a video game server, you get too invested, too emotional, you ascribe issues in roleplay to that individual's character as a person and bring the beef OOC constantly. It's embarrassing. I think the permanent ban here is appropriate, if this harassment of Riggs was the only issue with you I honestly would not mind reducing the ban, but based on your inability to take responsibility, the other past threats and harassments, concentrated efforts to damage factions on alt chars and the very suspicious arrests you were making on your PD char I think Boomroasted's decision to extend this to a permanent ban is more than justified. I don't know how old you are or why you behave the way you do but I think you need a serious period of self reflection, not only to realize what you did was wrong and why but to actually fundamentally change who you are as a person, because as it stands it does not seem enjoyable to be around you. Consider this an intervention. You may re-appeal this ban in a few months. I think it's immature and a negative trait and to allow you to continue to behave this way is damaging for the people you interact with and your own well being.

What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I have been playing on Diverge for the past 3.5 months, with my experience I've come to notice that there are some time frames where tickets can take up to 20-30 minutes (experienced this when I got my first PK), or times when there are 0 staff online / staff online but AFK. As someone who regularly plays Diverge, I can help the community during the dead hours when there are no staff active. The Majority of my time on Diverge is early afternoon and or late at night, i work night shifts so I like to hop on Diverge to unload, i am used to seeing the server >40 throughout my days and nights. My ideals with being in diverge have been to be kind to the community regardless of how they act. I want to make sure that they feel they are being properly treated within the city and all around have a good time. Watching the community through my time of being here has brought me so much happiness and helping them with any issues would be a dream come true. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: In my nearly 1 month of playtime in Diverge I have kept a nearly clean sheet having 4 notes, 2 of them being related to PET Flags from me being an idiot (I'm sorry Darnell ), 1 for a pamphlet I made, and 1 for RDM (which I believe wasn't right but I'm not here to fight). In my eyes, the time I've spent in city vs the amount of notes I have helps prove that I keep my nose clean. I've grasped all of the rules and I believe that my knowledge of these rules can make sure tickets are dealt with properly and unbiasedly. I am able to get points across with little to no backtalk regarding serious matters due to my manner of speaking and how I give them the news, which can be helpful against rowdy folks who Do you have any previous staffing experience? How do you handle this?: I will wait a few minutes for the ticket to be taken, if the ticket goes unclaimed I will swiftly take the ticket and collect the evidence, (I do NOT know if this is a feature) I will then request someone who is currently on duty while I help the person. With time, hopefully someone will take the ticket and I will pass on the person who got RDMed to whoever takes over and I will go back to what I was doing. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: Collect as much evidence as possible of their actions, anything that can be used to make sure they are punished for their actions. When I believe I have gained enough evidence I will submit the evidence to UA where they will be able to properly deal with the staff member abusing. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would start by asking for any evidence, anything that can help figure out any details that are needed. If there is adequate evidence that proves that the person did indeed RDM and minge I will properly deal with the situation, depending on the severity of their actions it could result in a note if there are no priors, or if it's a serious offence it would result in a ban. Regarding the "Does it constitute possible bias" has a simple answer, anything regarding someone you know can have possible bias, but I can be unbiased when needed regardless of who it is. ---------------------------------------------------------

I have a very mixed opinion for this ban. As much as I really like Chief Sosa and want to see him unbanned because of how funny the guy was, in the administrative perspective it is very difficult to justify unbanning someone who has been perma'd 2+ times and there being genuine proof for the unperma. At the same time, I want to vouch for Sosa because his appeal seems apologetic; once again. How would you ensure that these bans don't happen again? It feels like the same mistake may happen in the future and that the appeal wouldn't have been all the worth if that was the case.

Hi BoomRoasted, I’m not sure what you meant by “playing the victim card,” but I want to be clear. I’m simply trying to explain my side of the story, not deflect responsibility. That said, I do feel there’s a level of bias here, as it "appears" like there’s a personal connection between you and Drunken, which may have influenced how the situation was handled. Regarding the screenshot from ix_crazy (the guy who has nothing to do with this) he only nudges in just like mr nova when it benefits him, or when they can instigate something and exaggerate it. I want to clarify that there’s nothing in that conversation that shows I was trying to dig up anything incriminating. I had simply mentioned that I was permabanned for calling Drunken what I did, and when the conversation turned toward the “AI” comments, I backed off and stopped messaging further. I recognized that it was heading in the wrong direction and chose not to escalate. You just admitted to me saying "You know what you are" in the aspect of what Boom. Lets be real here, as soon as we got back to the cells I was straight RPing and had NO intentions or continued conversation of what I was told to stop doing. He was a criminal, and was trespassed. No other words were said beyond that point. These messages are as old as my ban, I messaged the group maybe at most 20 mins after my ban, so yes, very much still the heat of the moment if you ask me. When you pulled me into the sit you gave me less than 10 seconds to talk for myself, or explain the situation. Biased as all get out man, cant hide it.

Not complaining, just a suggestion for the future. In a perfect world it would be easy to implement
