When did you first join the server: November 7th 2024
Total playtime on our Servers (Do !time in-game): 1mo, 3w, 6d, 5h, 51m
Time Zone: Eastern Standard Time (EST)
How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: During weekdays, around 8 hours a day, on weekends, 12-16 hours (I am unemployed)
Have you read the rules?: Yes
Do you have a working microphone?: Yes
Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): Yes
Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: Yes
Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes
-------------------------------------------------
What is your motivation/reason for applying?: My main motivation for applying is I want to better the server that I play on every day. There are way too many minges that roam around and hardly get punished, this goes the same with long time members of the server, way too many people with make alt characters to go around, talk shit, cause issues, RDM and RDM bait. I've been an active member on this server for over a year now, and the amount of rulebreaks that I have witnessed in my time and they get away with it, it's honestly unbelievable. I also feel like most of the time when a staff member is on, they only want to reach the minimum tickets required for quota and not actually try to help the server that they play on. It's unbelievable how braindead some staff are and completely oblivious to the rules of the server. I feel like I would be able to change that in the little amount I could.
Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I don't just care about meeting quota every week, I care about bettering Diverge Networks and actually putting in the time and effort to make it a better server to RP on. I show zero bias towards anyone, not my friends, not factions that I play in, I'm my own person. I can also devote a lot of time towards staffing since I don't have a j*b and spend most of my time on Diverge Networks anyways. A lot of time spent when I'm online is sitting around waiting, but that could change. If I become staff I would spend that "useless" time that I almost always have into staffing. I'm extremely passionate about enforcing RP and the rules of the server and I believe I could do so adequately.
Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long):
Diverge Networks: Moderator (Around one month)
Frontier Networks: Administrator (around 3-4 months)
Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: Yes, Character Abuse - Organized Item Transfer / Metagame / Unapproved Diverge related discord
Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I can't speak for the community, but from what I can tell I'm in the sort of middle range. I'm not extremely well known like Coco, Vinny Lucchese, or Monaclu. But due to some positions I've held and controversial past, I'd say I'm known by many. I wouldn't say I'm 100% respected at all, I've been banned for extreme rulebreaks in the past (which I have learned from and I have improved on, I haven't broken a single rule since then and I'm trying to keep my record clean from there.). Of course, within RP I'd say most of characters are respected and looked up upon, I've mentored associates and I provide lots of help for new members not just in an RP sense, but to understand politics and rules of the server and stuff like that. I've never had a "minge" character before, all of my characters (from what I remember) are for serious roleplaying only, no tomfoolery. In character I'm sensible and dedicated, but out of character I like to help people with understanding the server and how it works, not to be "mingey" and showing the ways of MafiaRP.
What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: I have 3 moments in mind. #1, my first interaction with gozmouz. I was dealing with a minge while on a cop character and I had to call staff for a force plea, when gozmouz accepted it, he came in and played a God/Jesus character and ultimately settled the situation. It was a super funny experience and great first impressions of Mr. gozmouz.
#2, my first ever PK. This was back when the Callaghan Clan was still around, me and 2 other guys were brought to the barge and we had to wait there for a good 10 minutes when the caporegime brought in this associate that hadn't pay kickups in awhile. He gave us the codeword and we all unloaded our clips into him. This moment on the surface isn't all that special but it has sentimental value to me since after that day I was extremely dedicated to MafiaRP, I felt immersed and I felt like I belonged somewhere. 10/10 Roleplay back then and I wish I could experience it again for the first time.
#3, another moment when the Callaghan Clan was still around, it was the biggest boxing event that I had ever hosted, me and (my IC best friend at the time) Gregor O'Connor were running a weekly SBC Shamrocks Boxing Championship night. It was the first time I ever ran a boxing event and it was the best one we've had. I don't know what particularly made it so great but about 40-50 people showed up, people from all over. We had around 5 or 7 matches that night and it started my love for boxing and it made me go on the whole "The Cannon" persona. It made me make boxing my characters whole personality and like I've stated previously, I wish I could experience days like this for the first time again.
Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: N/A
-------------------------------------------------
Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I would take a clip of the situation and make a report to any other staff member that is online. If I am the only staff member available, and I'm not in a Roleplay scenario at the moment, I would switch to my staff character and handle the situation on my own. (I would clip everything from the sit, to the incident that happened and send it to a staff member that holds seniority and get their opinion of everything, like if I handled it correctly and stuff like that.)
You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would gather evidence against them like clips and screenshots of how they are abusing. Then I would send everything I have to a member of UA or make a general ticket in the Diverge General and report whatever staff is doing so there. I would not confront them publicly nor directly as that could cause problems and conflict in the future or even during the moment.
A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would not take the ticket immediately, I would wait for another member of staff to take it, I would also make it known in staff chat that their one of my friends or faction members and that I could possibly be biased if I take the ticket. If there is no staff besides me, I would take the ticket and continue with it as professionally as possible and as adequately as possible. This does constitute possible bias even if I don't realize it.
