Can detectives PLEASE do more actual investigation?

This is coming as someone with an EADA char, but I'm getting kind of sick of detectives asking me to file arrest warrants for like... a defiled gun with multiple sets of fingerprints on it or a door with like 5. 

This kind of evidence should be evidence to OPEN an investigation and not just to make an arrest warrant, arrest the guy then get the case dropped because of lack of evidence. 

Like, shouldn't detectives be more than "Patrol but I can wear a suit and drive a car that isn't blue" because at this point it really feels like its just a premium patrol and not an investigation unit.

Yes I have been a detective and I did UC stuff, so I gathered evidence instead of being premium patrol

Yeah I do but you can gather evidence without being plainclothes

I tell every detective that brings me a flimsy case to get more evidence and that I'll support them with any legal documentation they require, I still haven't received ANYTHING to do regarding these cases.

Detectives famously can't grasp that there may be probable cause but not proof beyond a reasonable doubt whenever something like a don's orders hit happens.

Like, maybe first use that oppurtunity to get something else than an arrest warrant if possible and maybe watch them, start an actual investigation instead of just it being immediately thrown to a case just for there to not be enough to convict or not enough to convict for life.

As a judge, I'd love to see more than just a forensics report and I know my friends at the supreme level would too when considering murder cases with just a quick forensics report.

Detectives are currently chopped. Not because of poor leadership (except Martin Riggs who idk how that nigga is LT) but because they got nerfed into the floor. Sad really.
