Mchavic Posted 2 hours ago Share Posted 2 hours ago Mugging on diverge has always been risky for OOC ban reasons equally as roleplay reasons, Mug someone the staff like its deemed fail mug, Start mugging more then once on a main char its deemed fail mug and a mugging char, doesn't matter the roleplay you give to the community outside of mugging, once you start your then a target for staff to ban the second you mug someone that's liked more then you OOC or a faction with staff in it they target you, Yes mugging rules are a thing, I've followed all the mugging rules and was still banned for fail mug and mugging char, IF I'm mugging someone then we're both in a PK situation, I could lose my char jus as easily as they could lose theirs, I think either fix the mugging rules or actually abide by them and make mugging great again #MMGA (once a mugger always a mugger, Be smart or get clipped faggots} Link to comment
Canadian-bacon Posted 1 hour ago Share Posted 1 hour ago The 'both people are a risk of PK' is the balancing aspect to allow mugging to occur but the reality is that someone can effectively make a fresh char, get a gun (or be provided one) and mug with literally no risk. Whereas the victim is a character with 500+ hours. Every situation is different or nuanced (obviously if you think staff is being biased make a staff report) but no 'revamping' would make it work in a way that would fix the issues (we would have done it) or it would turn it into dark RP mugs with no consequence. /advert mug move or die. The only possible changed I'v toyed with is potentially making mugging a criminal only act, meaning you must be in a crime family to mug someone, but this doesn't really stop alt chars and may encourage certain factions to be mug only faccs (which is good or bad depending on your perspective) Your suggestion isn't even a suggestion, it provides no new ideas or alternatives, you said "this sucks fix it" without any solutions.
