TroubledGhost
Instead of relying on physically typing or pressing binds for "/me pats for wires, guns badges etc.." and manual/binded responses being /me has none. I propose utilising the same system cops use to check for medical injuries but for wires/badges/guns etc. The current method has potential ways of being semantically bypassing these checks despite being in possession of said items being looked for i.e "/me They find none" or people argue they havent /me looks.. in particular locations carefully which has happened in the past, but also relies on an honour system for the RP [which if used incorrectly can void RPs once they have progressed] As it stands i don't believe the wires used by cops is a physical one but one that is invented and continued in people imagination (correct me if im wrong) but should one get added would further enhance the RP as there's a physical thing to search for. But as recent suggestions are going onto 'enhancing RP' this suggestion should help. On the C menu you can have an option for "pat down" - it would begin with someone giving permission to be patted down; once accepted an out put of "[name] starts patting down [other persons name]' shows and after about a 5-10 second pat down you get a cue response of "you find nothing" or "you find a M1911"; "you find a radio, Glock 17, a wire" etc.. This further also reduces the demand and need of searching peoples inventory too - particularly during faction meetings/events etc. Now you can spice it up a bit and perhaps make it a luck thing too where sometimes perhaps the person patting down may ''over look a specific place they're patting down'' and may incorrectly output a response "has none" despite the person having a gun, for example, but may be super rare or can be influence by being in recent fights/chases. [but this can open up a can of worms where minges may just punch someone in order to shift odds eversoslighty in their favour so it would be wise to have checkers inside behind the main security ] Now of course you could break this into a thorough pat down or a quick patdown but how that's achieved would need some thought. What do yall think? Just some food for thought. Link to comment
Mmmm_Cookies
Wires used to be a physical item I think, as did bugged phones, etc, didnt really have much traction however Link to comment
Zeus
Actual big +1, no need to make it a physical item but add a command for putting wires on that has a /me, this would prevent power game of just replying no while staff don't catch on because they aren't watching every UC, make the pay down command do a check if they have active wires on them and come back with a /me finds a wire under shirt or something like that Link to comment
